This is a great tip as I am always running short on cans and that kind of stuff. You could probably fast travel about for a few days too as that advances the time but probably not as much as sleep.

Nice video Rex 👍🏻 yeah I always sleep at least 4 in game day and night cycles that seems to usually work for respawning loot. Can never have too much good loot!
So you found a reliable method to get the loot to respawn! Brilliant! 4 days of sleep to get one respawn! Better than nothing, i supposed! i play on survival 2, on PC, no mods, and my Deacon is afraid of bedbugs so he refuses to sleep, nothing i can do about it! but somehow he get the loot to respawn every 2 days, no sleeping! even thou i know i trigger it to respawn i don't need it every 2 days, got other things to do or i'm at max capacity! hidden loot location are a gem at the start of the game, but they kinda became useless once you can craft your own(except military land mines), so crafting materials became more important as u unlock more crafting recipes. It seams that most of the ppl goes for large hubs crafting materials spots, but the game is not build like that, you will always get what you need simply by exploring and cycling your throwing equipment usage approach! Excess is harmful in any field!!! say the man who uses molotov almost for everything just because is like a weed, every 2 steps you find materials to build a molotov! by exploring i mean don't go out of your way, just stop at buildings say Hi! don't be rude! ❤rex❤
Great job Rex, my personal spots to rest are at the train horde Nero location, then drive to the Marion forks one. I them head to the farmhouse to see if I'm good.
That's exactly what I do early game! There is good loot at the Death Train Horde Nero Checkpoint too like cans and gunpowder so I check those while there too
😂😂 I have zero patience for letting Deke sleep that long. I’d rather just mess around in the world than force my little Deke buddy to sleep F O R E V O R! Great video content though. It’s good to get the actual information rather than “I think you can sleep twice” or “you gotta sleep three times, kill two newts & walk backwards for two miles” lol
Yeah I get that. Many times, simply doing missions will advance the clock enough for a loot respawn. Some missions take place at night or at a certain time of day and will adjust the clock to match the cutscenes.
What if I'm the one who plays super hardcore on survival 2 and no loot respawn mod, everything you pick up is gone and the mod plus makes crafting have more requirements, I'm having blast! Great videos by the way
Days Gone can be a lot of fun if you make little challenges for yourself. Things like only using weak weapons or no skill points etc. Glad and you're having fun and thanks for watching!

1:04 I’ve been playing this game since it was a new release, and I never think to loot medkits from the ambulances! 🤦♂️
and now you know how valuable they are. They are a finite resource that will not respawn! Now you'll probably never use one 😆
