One of the characters is a self-described "tween" who hasn't played with Barbies since she was 5 (or so she says). Yet this movie, like _Are You There God? It's me, Margaret_ is rated PG-13, perhaps to discourage parents from taking their ten to thirteens or dropping them off? I read they tried to make _My Girl (1991)_ about two eleven-year-olds including Macaulay Culkin's character, PG-13, but they won on appeal. Apparently, such movies are considered inappropriate for their own age group.

I saw it yesterday and it's great! But it's a definitely not a kids movie. Little girl about 6 was bored and completely uninterested, in 10 min she was asleep. But for girls over 12 and their moms it's definitely a hit❤🎉 About men... if this movie somehow scratched your precious ego, you are more of a Ken that you think😂

Just got back from the movie. The audience applauded. Good vibes. Granted, I live in the Netherlands. But Whoopi knows very well that this movie is littered with progressive subtext. It's re-educational to some. For me it was glorious❤

FYI Sunny Hostin. Robert Downey Jr. is, and always has been an incredible actor. He’s been featured in over 60 films. He stopped for two minutes to be Iron Man. 🙄

I took my wife and 8 year old daughter to Barbie, expecting a feel-good Toy Story movie. Instead I was duped into anti-patriarchy propaganda. Which is a fine message, but it’s not a movie intended for children.
I just saw the movie and it was amazing. Honestly, don’t complain or outrage untill you see the movie. It’s a colorful movie with joke, laughter, political, equality with male and female and basically truth of what the world is. I’m a grown man so I went to watch Oppenheimer while my female partner took my niece to watch the barbie doll movie, which is made for little girls, my Nephew Cody didn’t want to watch barbie (don’t blame him) so he went over his friends house and played football in the yard with the other boys. I genuinely don’t get why some guys get so mad about it, just don’t go watch it if you ain’t into movies about a girls toy that’s made by women for little girls. This movie is not made for little girls that's where you messed up as a grown man. Superficially this looks like a children's movie or mindless comedy, but it is nonstop speeches about patriarchy and oppression. I would never subject a child to a political film like this. I took my wife and 8 year old daughter to Barbie, expecting a feel-good Toy Story movie. Instead I was duped into anti-patriarchy propaganda. Which is a fine message, but it’s not a movie intended for children.
I just saw the movie and it was amazing. Honestly, don’t complain or outrage untill you see the movie. It’s a colorful movie with joke, laughter, political, equality with male and female and basically truth of what the world is. I highly recommend it. 👍🏾 One thing that I have to say is that there is a reason why it is PG-13, not exactly for kids…. I understand that you shouldn’t see the movie until you’re at least in middle school. 😉

I’m a grown man so I went to watch Oppenheimer while my female partner took my niece to watch the barbie doll movie, which is made for little girls, my Nephew Cody didn’t want to watch barbie (don’t blame him) so he went over his friends house and played football in the yard with the other boys. I genuinely don’t get why some guys get so mad about it, just don’t go watch it if you ain’t into movies about a girls toy that’s made by women for little girls.
