Love it mate. Agreed that there has to be a defenders medal. Coleman = forward medal, brownlow = midfielder, Danny Frawley Medal = defenders. Then it is all fair.
Great video. We have a player's award, a coach's award and an umpire's award. The AFLCA has always been the greatest individual honour one can achieve since its inception. The Brownlow is the umpire's award and should remain so. It's a great night for players and supporters, but the weight put on winning the award shouldn't be as great as it is. On the topic of "midfielder's award". Midfielders have been the centre of our game since its creation. It's no mystery why they get all the awards. It's because they are the most gifted and most active players in our sport.
I think the Brownlow should stay the same. Gordon Ramsay once said "At least its consistent... Consistently shit". The umpires dishing out the votes gives a unique aspect to it I think. They notice different things about players, such as their demeanor, respect, and also their time around the contest. I do feel bad for the defenders though, they need a seperate medal since the Forwards have the Coleman and the Mids have the Brownlow.
Im reading this and just want to clarify what I meant by the Ramsay quote. Everyone seems to think that the Brownlow winner every year is not deserving. For the record, I think that since everyone is being judged by the umpires, it is totally fair.

Danny Frawley Golden Fist Medal needs to be an official medal.
@@Winks3 100%. Who would you give it to for the 22 season?
Tom Stewart or Steven May

This is a very good take. Defenders definitely do need their own medal!
They need to give forwards and defenders more of a chance
Crippa deserved it 100%
Cripps was good this year but I definitely think brayshaw or neale shouldve won it.
Good video though!
Totally agree. Glad you like the video!
