I have a dead 555 that I last used 2 years ago to clear trees that fell during a storm. It doesn't seem to be getting any fuel. I will take the carb off and habe a look around. Thanks!
Bit of a long shot but do you know whether there is supposed to be a hose that connects the white-coloured tank vent to the area around the carburetor on the 555? I've got the tank filter visible when look just behind the handle on the tank but don't see any hose connecting it to anything. Thank you
I think it depends on the year of the saw. Early ones (pre 2015 or 2017?) may be like you describe and later ones have a hose connected to the vent that is formed together with the return line and runs up through that carb base tray. Its fine to not have a hose on it as long as it stays clean 😐
You ever start watching a video and about halfway through realize you have no idea what you just watched because your brain just totally drifted away? Not because your video was boring me or anything. Anyway, I watched your video twice lol
They come with the carb kit. If you need a part number for the kit then go to walbro or zama web site and you can look them up based on your carb model.
Damn new this blue that upgrade this green that... MY BRAIN AIN'T BIG ENOUGH FOR ALL THIS CHIT good video neighbor even though I don't like the music lol can't please em All right 😅
Sorry, I enjoy the damn music more than the sound of my voice and it helps hide the background f bombs in the shop. I do appreciate you watching but I'll never be able to make everybody happy.
@@TheGreasyShopRag I get that , but some of us have hearing issues, ( stupid use of chainsaws without hearing protection ) and voice gets lost when music is present.
@@airgunsfreedom700ssp3 My hearing is getting worse also. I'll give the whole matter some consideration. Maybe I can figure out some kind of compromise.

@@TheGreasyShopRag thanks
I remember this video talked about a magnet for the fuel system. Does that actually work? Could you simply drop a tiny rare earth magnet in the tank?
I've never found evidence of metal on those magnets so I don't know.

Ya I gave up on the music. Too many people didn't care for it and it wasn't needed. Thanks for watching!
@@TheGreasyShopRag always neighbor!!!!
Any technical term for what causes the scum? Bad fuel? Nice fix. Laterrr.
I believe the Latin phrase is "scumibus occurromus" which translates to "scum happens".
@@TheGreasyShopRag This show just gets classier all the time!
Great info but hard to concentrate with the music sorry, but it's your call!
You're not the first to mention it. I'll tone the music down. Thanks for watching!
Man I wish people would dispense with the damn music.
