Usually Korean artists release their Korean songs translated to Japanese and release it there. But FTIsland does the oposite: release it in Japan first then fight until they can release it in Korea. Except they don't translate the song...they write completely new lyrics for it. FTIsland jjang! #IWILL

Lee Hong Gi.... your good looking, charming, and powerful voice makes me jealous because my girlfriend always saying she loves you so much than me, and so with her friends. they even cry when honggi is hurt. she's always playing this song during break time and before she sleep. but now that she made me understood the lyrics of all FT Island songs. I am now completely touched and my favorite is their song "On Your Way" and "To The Light"....FT ISLAND BUENA SUERTE EN SU VIAJE!!!!

I looove their japanese songs best!! I think both bands (cnb and FTI) are more confortable.
I personally think these guys deserve way more than this. It really does break my heart knowing how they are being treated by FNC (dunno the name) its really bs. They are soo awesome...they are actually a band and u dont see much of this in kpop (ik this is a jpop song) but Yeh. Im a new fan and i actually cried when i read the article about how they are treated by fnc. ❤❤❤❤❤

I don't know what happened in South Korea but being a fan of TVXQ for years myself, I sure can imagine how bad it could be. It's sad that FTISLAND would probably never be recognized the way they deserve for their Rock music in there. K-Rock isn't on trend, unfortunately...
+aelliseu cheese afaik, according to my gf, the problem resides that FTIsland while it's pop, Hongki and the others, are more proficient as rock musicians, sadly, rock it's not popular in South Korea, nor Japan, while they have great bands, it's not profitable.

jacqui m. Oh, well welcome to the fandom. Basically the company they are signed to treats them soo badly. They never promote them and the money that the group makes they take it to use for props for other groups in the agency. So they get less money. Like the band had a new song that came out no one really knew, i didn't. They had to post it on their instagram sayin that their company didn't promote the song and that they had to promote ourselves. Its sad really, and gets me angry because they are really good.

I haven't been listening to FTISLAND for a bit as I took some time off exploring rookie groups, but when I came back I realized that Hongki has a really passionate voice. Somehow, there's a tender tinge behind the strong voice he sings in and it really took me by surprise, even though I've been a Primadonna for a year now. Seriously, they are ama~zing...FTISLAND oppa, saranghae! Hwaiting~♡

PsychoKitty사랑 It's a matter of personal preferences in my opinion. I like Japanese Rock more than Korean in general and this song in particular got me into FTISLAND.
Of course, they cannot sound like the Japanese do. I rather compared this sound to their old Korean one, which years ago wasn't that strong and impressive for me, personally. I don't compare them to J-Rock bands though. I love their Korean songs exactly because they're more emotional.
Vladi V They are Korean, so obviously they have more emotion when singing Korean, but K-rock is less known, so I think it sounds cool. J-rock is more visual kei. K-rock is more like American rock but Korean (if that makes sense) so I honestly prefer when they sing rock in Korean and sing more pop/emotionally in Japanese, but if they sang in Korean all the time I'd be even happier.
PsychoKitty사랑 I have to disagree. J-Rock is far more than just Visual Kei, which I'm not into. ONE OK ROCK, FTISLAND and plenty of old-school and new bands make American style sound; nothing in common with Visual Kei. Unfortunately, rock music is not trendy in Korea and that appears to be the reason why FTISLAND are focusing more on the Japanese market. I also would prefer if they sing on their own language but at the end of the day is the music that matters the most.
Don't get me wrong, I've been listening to K-Pop and other genres of Korean music for years but this band shined for me with their recent sound, both in Korean and Japanese, exactly because they are different and make their own music now, which must have cost them a lot. It appears that they have lost much of their support in South Korea due to refusing to follow the trends, which is really saddening considering how good they are. Korean public prefers the Pop sound, which is why FTISLAND is so underrated.

Being a huge 'metal head' and before that, only listening to rock.
Then getting into kpop/jrock.
I love both FTIsland's japanese and korean albums. Each album is unique and carries a different feeling.
By expanding their genre and trying new things in music is what makes an artist grow.
Not to mention that each member is a vital part of the band and you can see each member's talent in this album.
