I discovered Hong Gi in ''You are beautiful'' ' in 2010 because my three daughters saw the series. I did not like the songs from the series and I forgot about it… I'm 45 years old . I have been a rock fanatic since the age of 12. I thought Rock was already DEAD. The new rock bands do not satisfy me, but FTISLAND with their high quality and diverse rock has appeared in my life 8 months ago and I fell in love forever, even though I do not know a language . I'm so sorry I just found them now. But I'm so HAPPY!!!
FTisland is so underrated. I will never understand why they aren't recognized for their talent. There's serious talent here. Lee Hongki's vocals are the best in the industry. So underrated.
Because in South Korea rock music is consider to be the music who can destroy and pop who gives calm behaviour. This is how society sees this music. And there is so many great rock bands in South Korea who can not make any money from their music just because of the society. If you, guys, are interested in korean rock music I can help you and show you some bands. ^^

krock is really good than kpop..and theres this one krock band that is still active till today but no album since 2005 though.."nemesis", try listen to them. to me,their song feels good..be sure to search "nemesis la rose de versailles" because the band nemesis is too many out there.

FT is one of the first Kpop groups that I listened to back in 2009. I still love their music (both Korean and Japanese). I'm sad that the company focuses too much on CN Blue and ignores FT, but FT still proves themselves to be a strong group by not disbanding after so many years. The quality of their music never goes down.

No offense but i noticed there are many kband fans nowadays who consider their favorite band k-rock while their songs are mostly pop and even ballad, their vocals don't have that rock vibes, nor the way they perform (?) I just don't get it. So far only FTISLAND has consistently delivered excellent rock songs. In terms of songs, vocals, music instruments, vibes, live performances, FTISLAND is the king of K-Rock. Like their levels are completely different and I really respect them for that

I totally agree! I find idols who can actually *write* their own songs deserve to be called idols because you can actually look up to them as an idol. These groups need way more recognition because they can sing just as well and write music better than other idols who get their own songs rejected by their companies. So, I used to listen to FT Island back in the day. Like, somehow, I came across a Japanese album of theirs and for some reason never came to the conclusion that they were actually a Korean group. (happened to me with BoA lol) Then I saw You're Beautiful and fell in love with Jeremy as a character and found out that he was an actual singer, but kind of dismissed it at the time. Then I saw him again in Modern Farmer and realized that he was the same actor. (meanwhile, I'm listening to FT Island without putting two and two together) Somehow along the way, I scrolled through the abyss that is my itunes collection and came across the Korean AND Japanese songs. I put them on shuffle and it was like a bell went off. OMFG. It's been you guys ALL ALONG! JEREMY HAS POWER VOCALS! X'D
This is my interpretation of the MV: According to their album release, they have 2 versions: Truth and False version. The truth version has a red background while the false version has a white background. I think that this is somewhat connected to the MV. The first part of the MV shows FTISLAND in a white background, cctv version kind of. At this point, they show a woman behind a plastic, being watch by many other soldiers/ people (???) Those people probably represents the people of korea. In Korea, rock genre isn't as popular as pop. Hence, FTISLAND is trying to break this 'wall' and make rock popular. A woman is shown instead of the young girl because FTISLAND has been around for 10 years and since is quite an old group. However, I interpret this as false, similiarly to their album, False version. In the 2nd part, FTISLAND is shown in red lights, this time representing the Truth version of the album. A girl is shown, looking at herself in the mirror. This time, the girl represents FTISLAND too because the Truth is, FTISLAND isn't an old band who does indie songs. FTISLAND is now a band who does music with a new genre which is rock. You can also say that FTISLAND is lost, because it isn't easy to influence others with their rock music. At the end a gun is shot at a mirror and the plastic which the woman stands behind burns, which might mean that the plastic or to which i refer to as 'wall' between the korean people and FTISLAND is gone because FTISLAND is starting to influence the people with their rock songs. When the gun is shot, the bullet breaks the mirror. This shows that FTISLAND is making a breakthrough in their music. This is my opinion :) I dont think its clear as its hard to explain TT TT

I think you're wrong in one thing, FTISLAND is always a rock band since the beginning (love sick legend), they might have done indie song but indie is not what they did before changing to rock because their genre has always been rock. But thank you for sharing the theory of the video to us!

They debuted in 2007 (very young!! maknae was 15..?) with Love Sick and then came a lot of eras and most recently PRAY era in korea. They mainly promote in Japan tbh (they actually just released just do it in japanese the other day). PRAY as well as everything on this album is heavier than their early stuff because they're finally making their own music. AS for the members, leader singer=lee hongki, yellow strap guitarist=song seunghyun, leader+other guitarist=choi jonghoon, white haired bassist=lee jaejin, drums=choi minhwan aka minari. Yep, we're PRIMADONNAS (there's a song about us kinda). Besides, FT is under FNC entertainment (CNBLUE, AOA) who kinda debuted them and works with them similar to normal kpop artists. So they show up on shows like music bank and stuff (which is why I'm streaming rn) and on a lot of typical variety shows too.

FT is one of the first Kpop groups that I listened to back in 2009. I still love their music (both Korean and Japanese). I'm sad that the company focuses too much on CN Blue and ignores FT, but FT still proves themselves to be a strong group by not disbanding after so many years. The quality of their music never goes down.

So far only FTISLAND has consistently delivered excellent rock songs. In terms of songs, vocals, music instruments, vibes, live performances, FTISLAND is the king of K-Rock. Like their levels are completely different and I really respect them for that

So, I used to listen to FT Island back in the day. Like, somehow, I came across a Japanese album of theirs and for some reason never came to the conclusion that they were actually a Korean group. (happened to me with BoA lol)
Then I saw You're Beautiful and fell in love with Jeremy as a character and found out that he was an actual singer, but kind of dismissed it at the time.
Then I saw him again in Modern Farmer and realized that he was the same actor. (meanwhile, I'm listening to FT Island without putting two and two together)
Somehow along the way, I scrolled through the abyss that is my itunes collection and came across the Korean AND Japanese songs. I put them on shuffle and it was like a bell went off. OMFG. It's been you guys ALL ALONG! JEREMY HAS POWER VOCALS! X'D

This is my interpretation of the MV:
According to their album release, they have 2 versions: Truth and False version. The truth version has a red background while the false version has a white background. I think that this is somewhat connected to the MV. The first part of the MV shows FTISLAND in a white background, cctv version kind of. At this point, they show a woman behind a plastic, being watch by many other soldiers/ people (???) Those people probably represents the people of korea. In Korea, rock genre isn't as popular as pop. Hence, FTISLAND is trying to break this 'wall' and make rock popular. A woman is shown instead of the young girl because FTISLAND has been around for 10 years and since is quite an old group. However, I interpret this as false, similiarly to their album, False version. In the 2nd part, FTISLAND is shown in red lights, this time representing the Truth version of the album. A girl is shown, looking at herself in the mirror. This time, the girl represents FTISLAND too because the Truth is, FTISLAND isn't an old band who does indie songs. FTISLAND is now a band who does music with a new genre which is rock. You can also say that FTISLAND is lost, because it isn't easy to influence others with their rock music. At the end a gun is shot at a mirror and the plastic which the woman stands behind burns, which might mean that the plastic or to which i refer to as 'wall' between the korean people and FTISLAND is gone because FTISLAND is starting to influence the people with their rock songs. When the gun is shot, the bullet breaks the mirror. This shows that FTISLAND is making a breakthrough in their music.

I think you're wrong in one thing, FTISLAND is always a rock band since the beginning (love sick legend), they might have done indie song but indie is not what they did before changing to rock because their genre has always been rock. But thank you for sharing the theory of the video to us!

They debuted in 2007 (very young!! maknae was 15..?) with Love Sick and then came a lot of eras and most recently PRAY era in korea. They mainly promote in Japan tbh (they actually just released just do it in japanese the other day). PRAY as well as everything on this album is heavier than their early stuff because they're finally making their own music. AS for the members, leader singer=lee hongki, yellow strap guitarist=song seunghyun, leader+other guitarist=choi jonghoon, white haired bassist=lee jaejin, drums=choi minhwan aka minari. Yep, we're PRIMADONNAS (there's a song about us kinda). Besides, FT is under FNC entertainment (CNBLUE, AOA) who kinda debuted them and works with them similar to normal kpop artists. So they show up on shows like music bank and stuff (which is why I'm streaming rn) and on a lot of typical variety shows too.
