i believe solar has said before that she knows she isn't necessarily a complete naturally talented singer, and she feels that she has to work harder to sing well. but aside from that i do appreciate how you've noticed that wheein really is the core support of the group vocally and you're totally right about good singing not always being about high notes, its more about technique. lots of people nowadays think that because idols hit high notes it automatically makes them great singers. also I think you would really like the entire Melting album by Mamamoo.
Yeah, with Moonbyul stage presence, Solar's belts and Hwasa's sultry voice Wheein tends to stand out less. Even invisible at first because when unsure I was assuming a belt was from Solar and often she does great harmonies. Wrecking so hard at some point I might Whee in, and then one can't ... 😏
I actually fell in love with their Melting album like in lOVE. i didnt skip even 1 song bcs all of the songs in d album sounds title track worthy! various genres in one album showcasing their vocals! Melting is 1 of their best album 😍
@@teambellavsteamalice Moonbyul's stage presence? You mean her low vocal tone. And people praise Wheein a lot today and people should because she offers great technique. The reason why Wheein isnt usually noticed by new moomoos is because she's the most introverted out of the four. Solar and Hwasa get instantly noticed in the beginning because of their stage presence or "extraness" in their mv's (mostly Hwasa thou). For example, Egotistic, Solar and Hwasa offer a ton of personality but Wheein holds back on her personality since she's more timid. Moonbyul gets noticed by her low vocal tone instantly. But I feel like Solar often gets forgotten now because people like to constantly compare others a little too much. People should appreciate all of them regardless.
also, not everyone has same preference in vocals. for example, i prefer Wheein's vocals in Mamamoo(all 4 are good singers including Moonbyul, but i prefer Wheein), and especially in solo. her solo songs are exactly what i want
@@aileean19 haha, i think i remember that it was their CEO who said that. HwaSa and WheeIn have been singing together since middle school and they sound good together so they were put in one group, and then they only had to find more members. Solar was accepted and MoonByul was too. There was another one who was supposed to be the leader but she left the group before it debuted. It's amazing how all their voices really suit each other. You can hear it in their harmonies how one voice does not stick out in an ugly way.
Thank you for pointing out WheeIn. Other reactors gloss over her and cameras never seem to show her when she's doing something impressive (which she does often). I'm thankful I can tell all MMM voices apart. Also, I think you're great for pointing out all singers strengths *and* weaknesses (no shame in it, we all have them!) regardless of who you're bias is. The honesty is really refreshing. I love hearing your analyses - 20 minutes flew by!
Him: "I will try not to be obsessed with them" Me myself, and I'm sure the whole radish farms in this channel: "I say the same things before, and guess what, they ended me"
LOL! I feel attacked. 😄 Edit to add: Seriously, I know nothing about any other group and couldn't care less about musicians' personal lives, but I know practically everything there is to know about Mamamoo except who Hwasa is dating these days.
anonygent lol 😂 her imaginary boyfriend. Oh and yes we are all super duper welcome you to join the Radish fams. Also, hope that you will also support others idols also especially idols that works in the RBW Fam. Love ya~
@@biancamedina126 Hi Bianca medina, absence is definitely a fantastic song. I personally would like to hear eclipse for the fact that moonbyul shows off her cool and masculine side. She does also use vocals and rapping on both songs. I do agree and would also love to see a reaction to absence as well. Stay safe and take care ❤️.
I feel like Solar feels like she has to prove herself because people know her as a belter. So she feels like she has to belt like she does all the time. It doesn’t help that the producers of their music give her tones of belted notes and not music that shows off other aspects of her voice.
Honestly, I was so glad when Spit It Out came out and it was more restrained. Everyone was disappointed and I was just here like "thank god it's not just 4 minutes of her belting." Like, she sounds good and impressive but it was so refreshing that they didn't just go for the thing people associate with her.
solar's voice is too powerful that's why whenever they perform, she pulls her mic back away,,,i think that's one of the many reasons why they prefer hand mics because they have more control on it than the headset mic
I love how much recognition to Wheein you give! She is usually overlooked even though she is SUCH a powerhouse! This is my first reaction I’ve seen of you and you’re the first person who has given the respect to wheein and I live for it. Immediate like to the video
I think Solar doesn't trying to prove herself by belting high notes, she is just trying her best to do what the music producer asked even when it's on a 4-hours long concert. They do ad-libs on stage only on certain lines. For the rest, they try to perform it exactly the same as an audio version. That's why people said they eat CD for living. Solar and WheeIn talked about some failure on stage in a video clips and it was about sometimes it was too loud that they can't hear their voice so they tends to sing some lines louder while it was not supposed to be. They are not showing off for them self on stage, they are artists who respect others work and trying to perform a song precisely.
Thank you for pointing this out. It's so frustrating how "moomoos" insult Solar's overexcessive belting. If you're Wheein biased or Hwasa biased and consider yourself a moomoo while insulting Solar, then don't consider yourself a moomoo. The girls get enough hate as it is, they don't need you adding on to it.
Wheein is so good at rifts and her falsettos is so great, while hwasa jazzy tone husky voice is smooth and there's solar powerful voice but i think solar voice fits perfectly on ballad and rnb type music if u watch her solo concert or live like a fool cover. U can really tell solar voice can be so angelic. Hahahhaa oh and also moonbyul voice fits on a monotone type of music and like billie eilish kind of a song hahaha. Thankyou for reaction coach. My bias is solar and my wrecker is wheein, if u have time please watch some wheesun (wheein and solar shipname) funny videos please
The duration of the concert, where the My Star song was sung is about 4+ hours. I would like to ask if a singer is tired, will they have more difficulty in singing with a proper technique just like you mentioned in that performance, or difficulties will increase in some other areas as well? Their concerts are 4+ hours long and for 2 days continuously. And in one of the concerts, it ran for 5 hours.
Yep and always singing live throughout even their difficult songs is extremely tiring as well as the Immortal Song Medley thats sometimes included too. They are truly amazing.
I've also seen one of their concerts that was 4 hours and I thought it was gonna be the same clip twice in the same video. I never thought they would do a 4 hour concert😂
i love how much recognition and appreciation he gives to Wheein. i think she flies under the radar of most ppl because she isnt quite as sassy and flamboyant as the other members. Wheein is the lowkey sneaky talent.
Moomoos in the comment accepting the opinion on their idol vocal’s flaws is the most humble attitude ever! We all know mmm is a vocal queen but nobody’s perfect, what I want to emphasize if other gg were criticized the fans will go feral. And kudos to this reactor for an honest review of mmm!
Maybe it's becoz most of the people watching this are wheein stans/bias that's y the cmmts are peaceful n all plus a few ot4 stans.moomoos are full of ot1/solo stans, there's no peaceful fandom at all .
Mind your own business Hmm, thank you for your assessment. I agree there is no peaceful fandom in kpop. But I doubt most of this fandom are OT/1 stans, they just happy that wheein is more appreciated and the reactor hits the point that wheein is the backbone of mmm. Maybe the fact also that the reactor calls out the flaws in professional and reliable way that this fandom comprehensively takes it as a constructive criticism.
@@kaikai9598 No need to doubt urself becoz this fandom is full of solo Stans just maybe only 4% are ot4 ,I don't think this cmmt section would have been this peaceful if this was vwed by everyone so it's just mayb mostly wheein stans n the few ot4.
Fyi, i've been in this fandom for a years now and believe me, i saw many being a ot4 stans including me. Mamamoo, is the kind of group that doesnt outshine each other.
My Star Live Version is so good AHHHH Edit: yeah, Solar does over sing sometimes. I think she feels the need to prove herself even though we know she can sing. She got rejected so many times and i'm guessing she thought she wasn't good enough during those times but i'm 90% sure the reason why agencies rejected her was because she started auditioning "late" (21 years old).
"90 percent sure agencies rejected her was because of her age..." she was told she couldn't sing by these agencies that rejected her so your theory is hypothetical
I actually find Solar sings far better in her own songs as they don't tend to have a part where she has to belt out or as in her song Hello the loud part is more comfortably within her range.
mamamoo just so good! they are one of the groups that it doesnt matter how many times i have seen specific clips of them, i will always gladly watch again! wheepup definitely is the anchor of the group- she often gets overlooked because her stage presence isnt one that jumps out at you like the others but her personality is just as loveable and her vocal ability is absolutely top tier. would love to hear your thoughts on solar's rendition of the song "autumn letter" as it is almost the opposite of her normal belting style. you know whats coming next! (; DAY 7 of requesting a reaction to little mix - falling. or the acapella queens video, or the love on the brain cover. or literally anything, just please acknowledge their existence with a reaction video!
also please be aware that my incessant pestering is not done in a manner of me trying to be grabby/pushy/entitled or anything along those lines. just a friendly suggestion because any fan of mamamoo is likely to be a fan of little mix and as a vocal coach i would love to hear you honestly analyze their vocals.
im going to cry, not you just keep staying in the moomoo farm, but you mentioned about wheeins role and im so glad and warm cuz as ive said before she is not being well aprecciated in the kpop audience world. Btw Mamamoo discography its HUGE its so funny, emotional, sassy, sexy,, everything, so they have many funny songs like "Um oh ah yeah"
Lol the power of solars voice is so crazy. If you listen very carefully to the studio versions of some of their songs you can hear the mic overload if you’re wearing headphones. “Egotistic” comes to mind, but I also think “starry night” right before the chorus. Usually this gets cleaned up by the producer but I don’t think she’s capable of not doing it lol they joke about not having volume control. There’s a producer who does reactions on the channel RAHIM and he was the first that I’ve seen point out the mic overloading. I think it adds to the power in my opinion.
Technically in electronic engineer, it called "clipping" in the microphone pre-amplifier. I'm designing microphone pre-amplifier and other audio elcetronic product :)
I love Rahim!! Love watching the two of them (his wife, I think????) reacting to Mamamoo, specifically the Queendom performances. They get so hyped. Lol
i really love hearing your professional opinions and honesty, as someone who has no music knowledge they always just sound good to me. watching your videos is like having a very fun music class.
I always thought wheein is the backbone, I called the "free safety" of the group, a position in American football that covers all the bases, making sure others are doing their job well and supporting them to make them stronger.
Most of those clips were of early MMM songs. I think the mics were very hot during Piano Man. Solar pulled back off the mic but it still clipped a bit. I think their relaxation and overall technique has improved since then but it's fun to see them when they were uber talented, high energy rookies. In some of the early Immortal Songs appearances Solar made me wince with a "that's gotta hurt" when she belted but I haven't felt that way during the last couple of years. Of course Solar being Solar she still likes to push the limits as you saw in the Speechless practice, but she toned it down for the actual performance at KCON. Um Oh Ah Yeah is a MMM classic and is still one of the songs they perform most frequently live. Other MVs for fun songs include You're the Best, New York, Yes I Am and the two pre-debut collab songs Don't Be Happy and Peppermint Chocolate. Note that there's more going on in the MVs for Um Oh Ah Yeah and Yes I Am than just fun & games.
@@daniellxnder Makes me dance around the kitchen with a silly look on my face but you're right, fun is not the right word for the song (or my dancing). 😄
I really enjoy your commentary. I love Solar but sometimes I found myself not liking her voice cause I felt she was shouting but then I thought what do I know maybe it's me. It's interesting to realize that she indeed tends to over sing. I hope she tone it down a little so she doesn't damage her voice. She has a beautiful and amazing voice so
Some people need to understand that constructive criticism is different from hating on someone without basis. I love watching reactions from professionals like you who actually know what they’re talking about because the majority of K-pop stans out there enjoy K-pop not only because it sounds good but for the aesthetic. I for sure am a huge noob when it comes to music production, vocal ability and vocal technique and all I can really say is “hey, that sounds good”. I love seeing what professionals have to say about idols and K-pop in general and I think it’s informative to us K-pop fans. I think these videos are especially important for those who like to compare and compete with each other, often being rude and nasty to each other and other idols/groups by using their own subjective views on what makes a good singer. Professionals provide actual insight and not use “she can belt so she’s an amazing singer” as the main point of their argument. These videos are so informational and after watching these types of videos done by professionals in the industry, I’ll leave learning a lot about what makes a good singer, dancer, performer, etc. Thanks for all of your honest reactions I can’t wait for your next MAMAMOO one!!!
I'm crying. I'm happy that wheein is getting the recognition she deserves. It is true that she is the backbone of mamamoo even the members and their ceo acknowledged it. Why is she so underrated she's literally a gem. Her technique is just. Wow.
They actually found out when wheein's pitch is lowered down it perfectly sounded like moonbyul's voice, That could be the reason why they so blend with each other when they harmonize
@@SirAustin love your insight..moonbyul vocals are amazing..this is best showcase of her range tine and skills vocally: ua-cam.com/video/ZjhctbeifW0/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MAMAMOO thsi recent cover she did on their offcialy website
I'm so here for this journey, trust me, there is just soooo much to discover with them. For me, one of the things that really dragged me in were the concepts, and the deeper meaning in them, their previous project 'Four seasons, Four colors' is seriously amazing, it consist of 4 albums that were released each in a specific season containing the colors, concepts, symbols and feelings of each member. The first one 'Yellow Flower', representing the spring, it's Hwasa's, she has a solo song in it called 'Be calm' (the lyrics were written by her) the first song is 'Star Wind Flower Sun' that contains all the hopes they had with this project, there's a really cute MV of it (the lyrics were written by solar and Moonbyul, and the music composed by solar) the title song is 'starry night' and in the MV you can see all the elements and representations of each member being portrayed over it, it's one of the most beautiful MVs in kpop (imo) Then in the summer, it was released the album 'Red Moon' being represented by Moonbyul, it has that summer feeling all over it, the title song is 'Egotistic' and it's just fire, Byul's song here is a collab, with Red Velvet's seulgi, and it's a really fun song called 'selfish' it has a colorful MV, there's also an MV for the song 'sky! sky!' but we don't talk about that one. In the autumn, the album that followed was 'Blue;s' my personal fave, it was supposed to be called 'Blue sun' following the project concept but for me, it fits better as Blue;s since it has that nostalgic feeling, this one represents Solar, and her solo song here is 'Hello' composed and written by her, the title song is 'wind flower' which MV feels like a whole movie. And later on, during winter was released 'white wind' containing wheein as the wind (if you pronounce her name in the korean way, it sounds almost the same) her song here is '25' written by her, there's an MV of that too, and the title song is 'Gogobebe' which has a really fun and energetic sound to contrast the blues we just came from. After that, the full album 'reality in BLACK' came out with the title 'HIP' and it's like a conclusion to this project with the phrase 'Bless Life and Carry Knowledge'. It's a really dynamic album, with all kinds of surprises on it and amazing bsides, the perfect ending to the project. Then the solo projects started, and the members are showing us how unique and diverse they are with their own sounds, wheein released 'soar' an album with the single 'Goodbye' a beautiful slow song that expresses her voice richness, Moonbyul relesed a mini album called 'The dark side of the moon' that has her energy all over it, and the title song is 'Eclipse', solar released 'spit it out' and the whole concept was a surprise to us since she's always been more the ballad type, and this song is full sass, but somehow perfect for her too, then it came 'Maria' that you already know about, and Hwasa power is perfectly displayed on this emotive, raw and fun song. I'm sorry for the huge block of text, but I thought you might want some sort of guide while falling into the rabbit hole, and it would be really enjoyable to see it, I have lost of expectations and ill be following all of it. Thank you so much for giving a chance to Mamamoo.
Can't wait for you to react to byul's singing voice, her tone is just so beautiful. Is not as impressive and powerful like de rest of the members, but is really impressive for a rapper and really pretty.
great reaction!! i love all the girls vocals but i´ve always thought Wheein has better vocal techniques than the others, she always seems really stable to me
Acutally Wheein wasn't the "Ain't nobody got time for this" - girl in the MV. It was Esna :D and the pushy thing with Solar is the reason why I prefer Wheein's or Hwasa's belts actually. Thank you for being honest. And the whole "Who Hoo" song , was a cf and completely Wheeins song in my opinion :D
wheeins aint nobody got time for this part in the live version gives me +100000000 years of life, i love esna, but im a wheein bias so i cant handle it, just so good
Love this song and MMM is great in it but RBW did eSNa dirty with this song. eSNa is a really great singer! But the company didn’t let her do the promotions with MMM (except for one live), and Ahh Oop is her song, she wrote it. Here’s the link of her talking about it ua-cam.com/video/0EJAy9eWfgQ/v-deo.html
man the fact that you're the first person i hear saying wheein is the backbone of mamamoo is ridiculous, i've been thinking this for the longest time. she needs to get recognition more often fr
Well your comments you said is what how much you saw on them.... The more you watch, there's more suprises that you'll know.... There's even a compilation, also an interview about those suprising Mamamoo adlibs.... You pretty much spotted the uniquenees on Mamamoo, cheers
You're complimenting our baby Wheein. That made me a fan. Love your professional opinions. 💓 Looking forward for your reaction to Moonbyul. Her singing after a long time as rapper is really a big deal to the fandom. Bc the members are good vocalists and has to live up to the name of 'vocal group'. Her best songs imo are In My Room, Love and Hate, and Weird Day.
That ted talk is all i needed in life ! THANK YOU. whenever someone hear me sing or know that i can sing they always ask if i can do a whistle note..I'm just trying to sing without damaging my vocal cords leave me alone!
Totally agreed! That's why I really love MAMAMOO. Each member can really SING not just the main vocalist. And they all have their own style and color and shine in their own way.
Hey there, if you want to see more about Solar voice, I really recommend "Autumn Letter" and "Alone People". She did them a while ago and it make me fall in love with her voice, it gives me the chills even tho there's no big high notes
Thank you for your insight. Yes wheein has the best technique that's probably why she's to hold the melody most of the time and hwasa adds texture. I like it when solar and wheein are harmonizing and hwasa does her adlibs. Personally, i prefer when solar sings in her lower register or when she sings more emotional songs like in her solar gamsung project (i hope you react to those). She did sing mostly in her lower register with minimal belting in her solo spit it out and i saw/read a lot of people were disappointed because they were expecting her to belt everything.
This may be a VERY random requests after all the amazing videos and vocal performances. But as you seem to really love Mamamoo. Aside from their talent their personality is a huge reason they are so popular. I think you would really really enjoy these two video's. 1. Mamamoo Playing in the Car MMMTB ep 6 eng sub (some great vocals and surprises here) and 2. Chaotic Mamamoo Moments I can't forget (by the channel by resonance) 🥰
Storms woke me up this morning...darn midwestern weather. I really appreciate the honesty in your videos, and I like how you really appreciate Wheein. I agree that Mamamoo has the best vocals...even though Dreamcatcher will always be my no. 1
10:35 "She just doesn't have to prove anything".... I started crying hearing that so random but for some reason the whole reaction made me remember their early years when they had trouble promoting were overworking themselves and tried to make it in an industry where backing is everything without any. In the beginning they weren't even recognised and were fighting so hard to make sales and with Solar being the leader it was all on her to get them through it and to pull these girls up and I think she did an amazing job at that but like seeing people recognised her like that it just makes me happy and hearing that comment just got me thinking back. So I had to pause the video because I was crying to much to continue watching😅
14:49 Wheein hitting that note was clean though! Her vocal technique is the healthiest, a lot of vocal coaches observe the same thing. Also in consideration of the I Miss You performance @15:55 , Wheein sounded this good while she had the Flu. (In this show called Queendom you see she is absent a lot and only get to see her when they perform, as she was sick during the majority of it. News of her having the Flu came out about a week or two after the show ended)
I'm not a music expert or anything, in fact I sing badly xD but the moment I saw Mamamoo I immediately loved Wheein's vocals. I didn't know why she was the first one I noticed, until you mentioned her stable vocals and good singing techniques.
MoonByul, Wheein and Hwasa have been musically training since middle school and went to a Performing Arts high school. Solar completed her education in a different field and started singing and receiving musical training only after at age 22. She has not been musically trained for as long as the other members and was mostly self taught.
Woah really? Do you have a link for that info? I'd love to read that on my own! Can't believe Solar started at age 22 considering what she can do by then.
fun songs? they literally have a song complaining cuz they don't have time to sleep and have to sleep in the car (sleep in the car), a song about their height (1 cm) ahahahahhahahahahhahahhahahah i think waggy and aze gag are fun songs too
Sleep in the car and 1cm and aze gag are more rap-based though (although i agree the lyrics are really fun to read). I would suggest you're the best, um oh ah yeah, universe and zzzzz. Really catchy songs 😁
The thing with mamamoos concert videos are that their concert goes for 3-4 hours so they automatically loose strength or control over their voice .. 😅😭😭
Some fun songs: Um Oh Ah Yeah - you already saw part of this gender-bending MV. Taller than You - a song about their argument over who is the tallest member (it's Moonbyul). Aze Gag - about 'Dad jokes' Girl Crush - delightful MV with some elements of pop culture spoof. Moonbyul dancing and rapping in her PJs is one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. You're the Best - just a really good song telling a story of the girls crushing on someone. Yes I Am - great song embracing their eccentricities, which is especially relevant in the world of kpop image-perfectionosm. Some small gems: My Hometown - very personal, brief reminiscence about their roots. My Recipe - about cooking without a recipe (edit - but see comment below about viewing the correct version). Pink Panties - a song only Hwasa could pull off
my only thing here... i'd def suggest either a lyric video or the official audio for "recipe" instead of the official video, much as i love said video. the official video is literally a 6 minute cooking competition that mostly plays parts of the song on loop. the official audio and lyric videos are just the whole song as released, so you can hear it as intended (just because i know some people are put off when they first watch the mv for it)
Wheein is really the backbone of the group, she's the most low key amongst the members thats why she is often overlooked. Solar, is different with Wheein and Hyejin, she worked hard for her voice. As you already finished with Wheein and Hwasa. Suggestions for Solar: Nada sou sou Spit it out Despacito Suggestions for Moonbyul Snow 서툰 이별을 하려래 (a cover) Absence
For Moonbuyl's reaction, I really recommend these 2 videos: [문별] 부재 (Absence) Performance Video [Special] 서툰 이별을 하려해 (Cover by 문별) They are both on the official Mamamoo channel. I really love hearing your opinions. Thanks for reacting to Mamamoo!
Yeah, I agree that Wheein is the backbone of the group vocally, and I'm glad that more people are noticing her now. But nowadays I feel that a lot of people aren't recognizing Solar which is a shame because where Wheein is the glue for the group vocally, Solar is definitely the glue emotionally, like she is such. a good leader and is willing to embarrass herself all the time just to make her girls smile even when they are going through controversies, so the group definitely would not be the same without her. I always say that if you take out one of the girls Mamamoo just wouldn't be as good for different reasons.
Mamamoo truly are the queens of live performances. They have King of Masked Singer performances but I'm pretty sure you won't be able to react to those on UA-cam. Maybe if it's the lyric version of those perf? Just putting this DC comment here because I don't know if you saw it last week: If you ever feel like reacting to some other radio covers I'd recommend: "Me, In" (SuA, JiU, Siyeon) "Bling Bling" (Siyeon, SuA) "My ears candy" (Dami, Yoo and Jiu) "Really Really" (Siyeon, SuA, Yoo) "Blue Moon" (SuA, Siyeon, Gahyeon, Dami) "이 소설의 끝을 다시 써보려 해" (Siyeon, Yoo)
I'm living for all your mamamoo content!! Glad to see someone with actual knowledge commenting objectively on their vocals. I've seen too many biased fans/haters and fake professionals this is so refreshing.
I saw your video reacting to Mamamoo for the first time this morning and I love how you gave a very honest and insightful reviews - you were smitten by Solar’s voice at first and then I found out that you’ve been making more Mamamoo reviews and praising Wheein’s vocal ability and I’m about to cry tears of happiness because Wheein is somewhat underrated as a vocalist and the way you describe her as the ‘back bone’ of the group who keeps the melody intact is just perfect. This video (and the other one you made about (G)I-DLE prompted me to immediately subscribe!
it's just so good that while listening to this and comparing solar now, she really learned how to control and properly use her voice. the willingness of her to grow... kudos to her❤️
I definitely agree with you. Other people doesn't realize wheein's vocal capability. So i like watching you reacting to them. On point. I like them all. No bias. Because they are all bias wrecker. But wheein's voice is impeccable. 😍❤️
when a vocal coaches reacted to mamamoo, wheein usually finally got noticed, shes kinda underrated... i really appreciate those who realise her as the backbone of mamamoo even though we know that all of them are the best among the best...
Since you mentioned whistle notes/tones: I believe there is one also towards the end of My Star! Unfortunately there is no music video for that song, it's a B-side track in their album White Wind, but I also love the song. The whistle note there is also sung by Wheein! Also thank you for mentioning Wheein, she's very much overlooked by most people because she may not stand out the most, but she plays such a big role in their music
Can't wait til you check our more of their music videos. Mamamoo = so much fun. Um Oh Ah Yeah, 1cm Taller than You and You're the Best are some really funny, funky and catchy songs!
I haven't watched this video yet but I noticed you did individual video reaction for the vocals of all the members except for Moonbyul If you're doing moonbyul next I recommend her cover of trying to say goodbye
I love the way you listen, break down their voices, and also advise on the importance of proper technique. I kind of wish you could work with them to give them this kind of advice and assistance. You basically show no singer is perfect, even if they’re too tier like MMM. Your voice is also so pleasant and you really take your time to analyze their voices. I love your criticisms 💕💕💕
Would love to see your reaction to brown eyed girls ,,, please react to Abandoned and the live performance of snowman by them , it's great , oh and you should check out while you're sleeping and Dear rude by the member jeA
As someone who's passionate in singing and being a moomoo at the same time, your videos give me better ideas on what parts should I work on and also the misconception about the whistle note. Not only these vids are entertaining, they are educational also. Thank you!
I tend toward watching more MVs and listening to the studio tracks on albums for most kpop groups but wow.. just wow. I was already a Moomoo but hearing how good they are live just gives me a deeper appreciation of their talent. THEY'RE SO FRIGGIN' GOOD.

when you said that wheein is the backbone of the group, *chef's kiss*
the girls also said the very same thing!!!
Did the girls also said that ? Do you remember when ? 😊
Aimy Aileean cmiiw i think the CEO who said that
@@aileean19 i heard that the group was made around Wheein's voice, therefore, making her the backbone (in harmonies, especially).
@@sunsetooo I didn't know that, I'm glad to know that its kind of "official" haha 😊
«She (Wheein) is the backbone of this group», I couldn’t agreed more with you.
yesss their ceo has said this too
What's a backbone?

By the way, My Star is a B-side, their b-side tracks are soo good that's why most of the times Moomoos prefer them.
Yes!!!! Im really hoping Mamamoo held a B-track concert because i love it!
Thank you for appreciating Wheein 😭♥️
She really is the backbone of the group ~
Thank you for pointing out WheeIn. Other reactors gloss over her and cameras never seem to show her when she's doing something impressive (which she does often). I'm thankful I can tell all MMM voices apart.
Also, I think you're great for pointing out all singers strengths *and* weaknesses (no shame in it, we all have them!) regardless of who you're bias is. The honesty is really refreshing. I love hearing your analyses - 20 minutes flew by!

Hwasa-Twit
Moonbyul-eclipse
Wheein-Easy.
Also I'm super glad to see you reacting to MAMAMOO!
Hwasa LMM solo too, it has really good vocals
Better "Absence" than Eclipse from Moonbyul. In Absence you actually can hear her voice singing, in Eclipse you hear her rapping, more than anything 🤔
@@biancamedina126
Eclipse is stil one if Moonbyul's solos so...
Kim Doo Hoon the founder of MAMAMOO and their producer said Wheein is the backbone of MAMAMOO
I feel like Solar feels like she has to prove herself because people know her as a belter. So she feels like she has to belt like she does all the time. It doesn’t help that the producers of their music give her tones of belted notes and not music that shows off other aspects of her voice.
I agree
Honestly, I was so glad when Spit It Out came out and it was more restrained. Everyone was disappointed and I was just here like "thank god it's not just 4 minutes of her belting." Like, she sounds good and impressive but it was so refreshing that they didn't just go for the thing people associate with her.
When did shes says that she need to prove herself? And where?
solar's voice is too powerful that's why whenever they perform, she pulls her mic back away,,,i think that's one of the many reasons why they prefer hand mics because they have more control on it than the headset mic
@@animecookies8784 exactly.
Only a few seconds in but thank you for giving Wheein the recognition she deserves ❤️👏
Wheein Whistle Note SUPERIOR
i love how much recognition and appreciation he gives to Wheein. i think she flies under the radar of most ppl because she isnt quite as sassy and flamboyant as the other members.

My Star Live Version is so good AHHHH
Edit: yeah, Solar does over sing sometimes. I think she feels the need to prove herself even though we know she can sing. She got rejected so many times and i'm guessing she thought she wasn't good enough during those times but i'm 90% sure the reason why agencies rejected her was because she started auditioning "late" (21 years old).
Yeah and sometimes when she growls it's like she sometimes forgets the singing part sometimes.... Not anymore though
Wheein is the backbone of Mamamoo and also the only braincell in Mamamoo 😭
If you are curious about Moonbyul singing abilities, I recommend her song "Absence"
or her cover ‘trying to say goodbye’
mamamoo just so good! they are one of the groups that it doesnt matter how many times i have seen specific clips of them, i will always gladly watch again! wheepup definitely is the anchor of the group- she often gets overlooked because her stage presence isnt one that jumps out at you like the others but her personality is just as loveable and her vocal ability is absolutely top tier. would love to hear your thoughts on solar's rendition of the song "autumn letter" as it is almost the opposite of her normal belting style.
you know whats coming next!

I'm designing microphone pre-amplifier and other audio elcetronic product :)

i really love hearing your professional opinions and honesty, as someone who has no music knowledge they always just sound good to me. watching your videos is like having a very fun music class.
I always thought wheein is the backbone, I called the "free safety" of the group, a position in American football that covers all the bases, making sure others are doing their job well and supporting them to make them stronger.
Solar was just starting to sing in her mid 2os.
She didnt train in her teens
"I'm sorry I'm really squemish about straight razors" me without even skipping a beat "that's okay, they do kill him so.... makes sense"

Wow.
" we need to show some respect for Wheein" Thank you for saying that!
They actually found out when wheein's pitch is lowered down it perfectly sounded like moonbyul's voice, That could be the reason why they so blend with each other when they harmonize

Yes, you're right. Wheein is the backbone of the group.
Yesss! You solved the mystery of the whistle note everyone keeps debating about!
What I really love about this Channel is he keep it HONEST
I'm so here for this journey, trust me, there is just soooo much to discover with them.
For me, one of the things that really dragged me in were the concepts, and the deeper meaning in them, their previous project 'Four seasons, Four colors' is seriously amazing, it consist of 4 albums that were released each in a specific season containing the colors, concepts, symbols and feelings of each member.
The first one 'Yellow Flower', representing the spring, it's Hwasa's, she has a solo song in it called 'Be calm' (the lyrics were written by her) the first song is 'Star Wind Flower Sun' that contains all the hopes they had with this project, there's a really cute MV of it (the lyrics were written by solar and Moonbyul, and the music composed by solar) the title song is 'starry night' and in the MV you can see all the elements and representations of each member being portrayed over it, it's one of the most beautiful MVs in kpop (imo)
Then in the summer, it was released the album 'Red Moon' being represented by Moonbyul, it has that summer feeling all over it, the title song is 'Egotistic' and it's just fire, Byul's song here is a collab, with Red Velvet's seulgi, and it's a really fun song called 'selfish' it has a colorful MV, there's also an MV for the song 'sky! sky!' but we don't talk about that one.
Here’s the link of her talking about it

Asking Solar to calm down is like asking a 2 year old to sit still. Not gonna happen 😂
It would not be the first time she broke a mic 😄
That ted talk is all i needed in life ! THANK YOU. whenever someone hear me sing or know that i can sing they always ask if i can do a whistle note..I'm just trying to sing without damaging my vocal cords leave me alone!
Totally agreed! That's why I really love MAMAMOO. Each member can really SING not just the main vocalist. And they all have their own style and color and shine in their own way.
One of the few voices, I put in the same powerful range as Solar and Siyeon is Ailee. Check her out.
Ailee is from New Jersey too
Hey there, if you want to see more about Solar voice, I really recommend "Autumn Letter" and "Alone People".
Wheein is my fav voice in Mamamoo.

This may be a VERY random requests after all the amazing videos and vocal performances. But as you seem to really love Mamamoo. Aside from their talent their personality is a huge reason they are so popular. I think you would really really enjoy these two video's. 1. Storms woke me up this morning...darn midwestern weather.
I really appreciate the honesty in your videos, and I like how you really appreciate Wheein. I agree that Mamamoo has the best vocals...even though Dreamcatcher will always be my no. 1
Same. I love Dreamcatcher so much.
I didn't know why she was the first one I noticed, until you mentioned her stable vocals and good singing techniques.
i love how honest you are and i love how every vocal coach shows admiration for Wheein, she is literally the spine of Mamamoo
Thank you for showing Wheein some love. 😁
Omg finally I found a reactor said Wheein is a backbone of MMM.!!!
Ikr!?
Mamamoo only need 4 members. They compliment each other. 4 of them was born to be together.
fun songs? they literally have a song complaining cuz they don't have time to sleep and have to sleep in the car (sleep in the car), a song about their height (1 cm) ahahahahhahahahahhahahhahahah i think waggy and aze gag are fun songs too
Not to mention You're the best - one of my fave funky Mamamoo songs!
Yes and universe and zzzz. Seriously he needs to do album reactions. Their b sides are just as if not more amazing that the title songs
Wheein and whistle notes 🥰🥰
wheein usually chose to not sing the "whistle note" so when she did in that performance, even you can see that moonbyul was shocked lmao
Some fun songs:
Um Oh Ah Yeah - you already saw part of this gender-bending MV.
Taller than You - a song about their argument over who is the tallest member (it's Moonbyul).
Aze Gag - about 'Dad jokes'
Girl Crush - delightful MV with some elements of pop culture spoof.
Some small gems:
My Hometown - very personal, brief reminiscence about their roots.
My Recipe - about cooking without a recipe (edit - but see comment below about viewing the correct version).
Pink Panties - a song only Hwasa could pull off
This needs more likes. Love all the songs mentioned
my only thing here... i'd def suggest either a lyric video or the official audio for "recipe" instead of the official video, much as i love said video. the official video is literally a 6 minute cooking competition that mostly plays parts of the song on loop. the official audio and lyric videos are just the whole song as released, so you can hear it as intended (just because i know some people are put off when they first watch the mv for it)
Wheein is really the backbone of the group, she's the most low key amongst the members thats why she is often overlooked. Solar, is different with Wheein and Hyejin, she worked hard for her voice.
As you already finished with Wheein and Hwasa.

It's nice that you're discovering other groups but I have to say I really enjoy your DC & MMM reactions!
Thx for the vid
Mamamoo truly are the queens of live performances. They have King of Masked Singer performances but I'm pretty sure you won't be able to react to those on UA-cam. Maybe if it's the lyric version of those perf?
Just putting this DC comment here because I don't know if you saw it last week:
If you ever feel like reacting to some other radio covers I'd recommend:
"Me, In" (SuA, JiU, Siyeon)
"Bling Bling" (Siyeon, SuA)
"My ears candy" (Dami, Yoo and Jiu)
"Really Really" (Siyeon, SuA, Yoo)
"Blue Moon" (SuA, Siyeon, Gahyeon, Dami)
"이 소설의 끝을 다시 써보려 해" (Siyeon, Yoo)
I love Hwasa's KOMS performance. I guess he would love it too since it's jazz.
I'm living for all your mamamoo content!! Glad to see someone with actual knowledge commenting objectively on their vocals. I've seen too many biased fans/haters and fake professionals this is so refreshing.
So happy to hear you point out she was peaking the mic lol. It's a funny little moment.
Wheein has been my bias since I started getting into mamamoo and I love it when I see people doing a shoutout to how great her vocals are
Thank you for always giving your honest critique. Your perspective is very informative and I appreciate it.
This video (and the other one you made about (G)I-DLE prompted me to immediately subscribe!
it's just so good that while listening to this and comparing solar now, she really learned how to control and properly use her voice. the willingness of her to grow... kudos to her❤️
Wheein appreciation!! I love to hear it, she's my bias. LOVE AND STAN MAMAMOO
👏👏👏Wheein the backbone, our stable, honey vocalist. 🥰🥰🥰
I haven't watched this video yet but I noticed you did individual video reaction for the vocals of all the members except for Moonbyul
If you're doing moonbyul next I recommend her cover of trying to say goodbye
I love the way you listen, break down their voices, and also advise on the importance of proper technique. I kind of wish you could work with them to give them this kind of advice and assistance. You basically show no singer is perfect, even if they’re too tier like MMM. Your voice is also so pleasant and you really take your time to analyze their voices. I love your criticisms 💕💕💕
17:48 "Okay, so what's going on? It's a little chaotic. They all kinda doing their own thing." Yup, every Mamamoo on crack video.
Sir Austin: Beautiful. I love Wheein's voice.
Me: Same here. Same 🥰😍
Would love to see your reaction to brown eyed girls ,,, please react to Abandoned and the live performance of snowman by them , it's great , oh and you should check out while you're sleeping and Dear rude by the member jeA
THEY'RE SO FRIGGIN' GOOD.
me: vibing with you
me: still vibing even though i don't understand the technicality of voice you explained
