I'm doing research on contacts at the moment as I want too get some for my OC for Halloween. I also have other cosplays I want too do that would need contact's. I realise this video is a few years old but thank you i'm watching videos to do my research!
Unfortunately most eye doctors do not recommend colored contacts which is a huge problem

Where is the expiration date on the pink paradise glass cases?

Akshita Yadav I haven’t ordered from Pinky Paradise before but many cosplayers buy their contacts from there. You can try Uniqso as well I think this is the website I got my first pair from or you can try HoneyColor; just look at online reviews first and watch videos on the delivery time, the quality etc. Sorry I don’t remember a lot about the places I’ve ordered from cause it has been awhile but I hope this was a little bit helpful 👀
Akshita Yadav You can also try Maplelens or Eyecandys (I actually ordered from them and was happy with my purchase). As I said earlier just be careful and do your research, pick a website you trust and have what you’re looking for. Good luck 😊

For every contact it has an expiration date??? Also is it dangerous to wear them because I don't know how to convince my parents I'll be safe wearing them, since they think they're dangerous. :/
Mask Beast from what I understand, they aren’t dangerous after their expiration date it’s just that they start to loose their colour
Contacts themselves aren't dangerous if you get the right kind and look at reviews. But after the expectation date they can start to get dry, they might have bacteria, ect. So I wouldn't suggest wearing the expired one
Well I think it would be god to say “well technically, it depends what contacts you buy.I don’t cosplay but if u watch cosplay, I suggest u ask where the cosplayer got their contacts and when you are looking for contacts u SHOULD look at the reviews

Do you need to have prescription lenses or can you just (ironically) wear glasses over them or no?
Since they're -0.00 I'd say you could if you really wanted to. I've never done it but if I was going to I'd try it with fake glasses first just in case

Hey I’m going to be cosyplaying soon and I want to know how I should start should I start with a oc or a character?
Try a character first, makes it way easier imo

Ideally a character with minimal “costume” clothing, like chara/frisk from undertale, or Aizawa from Boku no hero. You can do more detailed characters, no ones stopping you, but since you’re begging it’s best to build up in case you decide it’s not really something you want to do

So very sorry for the late reply. I hope your 1st attempt at cosplay went amazingly! Realistically it doesn't matter what you start with when it comes to OC's and established characters, however the detail level of those characters maters. Start simple, then work your way up

This might be a stupid question but do every contacts fit your eyes like do you get sizes 😂😂

there's sizes!!! make sure you get one's that fit you or you run the risk of getting a cut!
Your question is not stupid! Everyone should get their eyes measured by an optometrist bc you could run the risk of damaging your eyes! Protect your eyes kiddos
Got contact lenses but no case and solution I'm so stupid what do I do for the mean time-
If you havent opened them, then I would recommend waiting until you get a proper case and solution.
The only times I have not uses either is due to forgetting my lense case at home or in my hotel room.
I placed them in a bottled water until I located my case/solution. Sure doing that worked for me in a pinch, but it doesn't substitute having a proper lens case or proper solution. Please get those items asap.
hi! i wear prescription contact lenses already, but i was just wondering what contact lense brands are best/safest to use for cosplay? this will be my first time using colored contacts so i want to know where i should be getting them from :p
Sadly I don't have a quick answer for that. Many popular contact lens providers are not regulated and therefore I van recommend any of them.
Colored contact lenses can be safely acquired via FDA approved means, but that is info to discuss with your eye care doctor.

not sure if anyone will see this but im new to contact lenses and I just wanted to know if I have to get the hydrogen peroxide cleaning solution or can I get a different one? im just not really sure :/
The Hydrogen Peroxide is ment to clean your lenses. It usually recommends soaking your lenses for about 6-8 hours and then thoroughly rinse them with normal normal saline solution before you put them in you eyes. KEEP THE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE SOLUTION FAR AWAY FROM YOUR EYES!

i'm sure they know about them, but may not know about popular cosplay brands. I'd imagine most eye doctors will only promote the use of very specific brands

how old do you have to be to put colored contacts in?
I can imagin teens would be ok, but I'm no eye doctor. I would strongly suggest talking to your eye doctor to make sure you're a good candidate for contact lenses in general. 😌
