Haggerty went super saiyan after Lobo dropped him. That fight is exactly what you want a Muy Thai fight to be.
I mean not in terms of utilising the arsenal of muay thai. Not a single knee was thrown in there. It was a boxing match with some elbows in it
It is due to OneFC rules. They don't score on a round basis, but on the whole match. This means that Hagerty was still behind on scoring in round 2 after the knockdown. He had to score a knockdown back to get even.
@ChaRaps This is why I don't like ONE. Their rules make it feel like just kickboxing with elbows at this point. Little technical nuances of muay thai displayed
Hats of to both great fighters but the rule set with small gloves minus clinch then add the fight bonus incentive to finish makes these fights really one dimensional.. The lessie vs abasolo fight was way better on this card but again respects to all fighters!

That was a great fight! Hagerty was in trouble a few times but held in there and landed the kill shot!

That was one of the badass rounds of all time round 2 comeback. what a war. haggerty has amazing straight kicks and maybe even better roundhouse. Good hand speed, unpredictable striking and can fight "switch" when needed.
Anyway, that second round is freaking career move. Single-handedly earns this kid Hall of Fame status for that comeback.

Man, Haggerty continues to impress and show he can outdo people at range, but what I love most is how he now seems even more willing to just bite down on his mouth piece and outgun these guys as well.
ONE fights rarely dissapoint.

What a banger of a fight both guys did so well I had Lobo winning a 10 - 8 first round against Haggerty, and Haggerty having a 10 - 8 second round and the third round was a TKO by Haggerty overall an amazing fight and keep up the great content as always Gabriel! 🎉

I'm glad to see the ref. stop the match at this point when the fighter seem to has some level of damage. If it was 10-20 years ago in muay thai match like this, the ref. surely let the fight continue and the fighter may take more or serious damage that effect his carrier. Someone may think this is too soft but this is sport not killing event.

Liam Nolan vs Nauzet Trujillo was a banger too, you should make a breakdown about that one
Trujillo looked poor until the elbow that destroyed Nolans face, Nolan was done from that point onwards. Trujillo grabbing Nolans face when the ref was breaking them up was very bad sportsmanship.

With heavier weight, Haggerty's Punching become powerful he does not need rely on his elbows anymore.

Haggerty definitely doesn’t want the smoke from you man! He displayed weakness to body-to-head combos, and loses his responsible defense when trading in the pocket. You could definitely eat him alive

@@zacm9747NongO should also retire. Thais age differently because they fight since childhood, most of them are considered "washed" by mid-late 20s. He already retired in 2014 because he personally felt he was washed. He only had that winning streak in ONE because most of the guys there were mid and overrated by ONE's social media. Who's the best name he beat at ONE? Washed up Rodlek? Saemapetch who was 0.500 in Thailand? Ramazanov whose record is also half wins half losses?
I don't want to take away from Nong-O, his stadium record in his prime makes him a legend of the sport, but he's washed currently. Doesn't have the chin to win fights anymore.

Well first that was an awesome fight. But i was kinda disappointed how bad their boxing defense was. Which usually muay thai guys have bad boxing defense anyway but, i didn't think it would be that bad.

A boxer can beat these guys just with boxing. Lobo proved it.
Gabriel, no need to wonder. With MMA gloves you ABSOLUTELY want to cover with open hands, not fists. It hurts when you're knuckles are impacted against your skull. You can even see Haggerty trying to adjust to open hand cover while being barraged with punches. They only ever cover with fists because of habit from fighting with boxing gloves most of the time.
If you're going to fight with MMA gloves, I STRONGLY suggest working on making this adjustment.
