Goddamn, Haggerty is such a dangerous fighter, he's got every tool at his disposal and he uses them to vicious effect. Great to watch, thanks ONE Championship!
Maybe the hardest hitting and most aggressive MT fight ONE FC has put on. Haggerty has turned into such a talented fighter. You get the feeling if he had that 1-punch KO power like Rodlek, that he'd be the most terrifying thing in gloves. Christian Knowles is an amazing coach and cornerman. Props to him
@Reo Sho honestly it's not so much "need" as it is just a habit sort of. you could leave it and be fine for most part, but you get used to pulling them up in your "reset"
Great to see humbleness in a fighter you can see how hard it is to get in the ring and a relief that the fight is over and no one got seriously injured
I like these replays - also because they do slightly different takes (without the commentary this time so can hear more of what the corner people are saying). Haggerty was the clear winner but reasonably close. Mongolpetch an incredible fighter. Fierce tough, brutal and entertaining fight. They looked like Brothers trying to kill each other but best mates after. Respect.
He is very good, but not at the elite level yet. I see three weaknesses. 1. Lack of power, He causes damage but allows the opponent to come back. 2. Low kick inconsistency, He has a very good low kick but during pressure, he stops using them. 3. Weak defense (body). This one takes away his elbow strikes in close range because he has to cover the body shots.
@@iScoopyPal none of these points make any sense arguably besides the first one. Thai fighters are known for keeping a slow pace the 1st rd, and John haggerty has a fast pace, so instead of saying he has lack of power (which isn’t true at all) 2. Low kicks are very précise and should be well timed, if you throw a leg kick while getting backed up or pressured you could be putting yourself in a bad position, and its easy to lose your balance. And the third one???? Did you see how many times he closed the distance with an elbow, did you see how many elbows he throw in the clinch/the pocket? Also, that just makes no sense at all, either you’re throwing or blocking, most of the time even if he was getting backed up he was still throwing, and when mongol was going for the body shots he was covering and still throwing.
There is no better feel good feeling than when you watch two warriors smash each other too pieces and then hug and smile after. It's truly amazing to watch. Muay Thai by far the best combat sport both as a fighter and a spectator. LOVE IT!!
This is a very good fight. JH is an excellent "outside" fighter. He controls the distance with vicious strikes using any limbs. In this stance, he knows how to use his size advantage and gives MP and any Thai fighter, including Rodtank, problems. R1: he completely dominates MP. However, in R2, the smaller MP relies on his skills and executes heavy blows from all limbs that hurt JH. On the run, JH barely survives the round. R3 decides the bout. The physical strength of JH is the difference. MP was exhausted and couldn't carry on the pressure of R2. As slower starters, Thai fighters need to adapt their strategy and never give R1 for free. They must put pressure and disrupt JH from the beginning by attacking 100% if they want to win. Future fights with the elite Thai fighters that have the same physical strength will certainly be intrigued.
lmfao plz. Haggerty wouldn't make it in Thailand's muay thai circuit. He can't even beat Rodtang who isn't even an elite level muay thai fighter 🤣 The yt bois who know nothing about muay thai hyping up their own
After such a strong first round Haggerty gasses noticeably. It would be so much better if he could produce the same level for more than the first round. I hate feeling anxious watching fighters I want to do win.
@@user-pd9ju5dk5s rodtang is not an elite level muay thai fighter? He's beating everyone in One FC, and before you say "all the thai are way better then One FC". He's also a former Omnoi stadium champion. Delusional

@@Teddy-se8qb That's really not true. Even though Muay Thai as a style is great I am not a big fan of the sport itself, and the best Thais stay in Muay Thai. They do since they were young and can make good money and a lot of them fight at lower weights where boxing does not pay that great anyway
I'm only just getting into my Muay Thai and I'm just blown away by the level of respect in the sport. How can you not respect your opponent after that though?
Can Haggerty book his place in the semifinals with another dominant display against Goncalves?

Great fight from both fighters and I love seeing the mutual respect. Pure class and a pleasure to watch.
Speed and precision is unreal 😳

I love the sportmanship and respect of both fighters.
Haggertys movement is so fluid, he never stands in 1 place, floats around and BANG, an elbow to your face. Absolute savage
This fight is absolutely incredible I find myself coming back to it Christian and jon work so well
The respect on display here is phenomenal. That's what true martial art is all about, to me at least.
Brutal but brilliant fight..
Man i love watching these muay thai bouts by ONEFC. They're always a banger of a fight no matter who is fighting🔥🔥🔥👍
Haggerty's technique and tool usage has elevated.
My wife and I have been following Haggerty for some time now, and we said the same thing. He’s getting comfortable more and more every fight he has
Always fast and accurate but more tactical and unpredictable now.
