This girl was in my class at school and I remember her bringing in her Jim ill fix it badge and being very disappointed to find out the badge was plastic.
I've watched the Netflix documentary on Saville. In part 1, they had an excerpt of this at the start in a montage of Fix Its. I actually thought this was the set of Star Trek II initially. Many a Mission: Impossible and Trek episode were made on the old Paramount backlot featuring buildings.
Haven't seen this since the original transmission when I was 7, really enjoyed seeing it again. The format of Jim ll fixit was good, shame about the host.
I shudder to think what might have happened if that poor girl had found Jimmy Saville waiting in the cockpit instead of Shatner.
