Honestly the scariest thing about the character is that he still seems so human, but there's something so off about him. So honestly I think Jazza has succeeded in making the most scary character, by making the most normal and comferting thing, another human being, so horrifing.
You need to make a real life model of him to see how truly terrifying he is. Anyone can say "oh that drawing is scary" but if you have that scary thing in real life, it may just push the scare factor more than it already has. Its completely just an idea I dont expect you to do it but you're free to do so.
Bro this seriously needs to be a movie. Maybe like the Hocus Pocus series where it starts in old times and has a sequel in modern day. Friends go into the forest during the night, and start to hear angelic screeching. Then, they hear leaves crunching and sticks. And then he jumps at the camera and the rest of the movie plays.
Storyline for the sequel: a group of choir kids are escorted to a school trip to visit the 16th century cathedrals where the most angelic opera prodigies lived. A small, pasty looking kid noticed something unusual during their excursion...
@@anotherinternetsoul4515 he cannot stop hearing the beautiful yet disturbing song. He sits at his desk while the tune still swirls around in his head. It seems to get louder as each day passes. It begins driving him to the brink of insanity. He starts hallucinating. The monster itself is really not that visually scary as compared to others, but the story was genuinely so unique and haunting and the entire idea is just so amazing. You're just as good of a story teller as an artist. This is terrific (and terrifying) work.
As an avid horror movie watcher, and having discussed many a horror movies with my boyfriend, I can say this character’s tragic backstory is something that could easily be seen in a gothic tale. While, personally, immortal slashers are pretty cool, the more vulnerable the character, the more horrific their transformation into this demonic creature. Good job Jazza. 👋
Idk if he mentioned this in the video, because I'm writing this before watching - I've been a horror artist for 3 years and the best thing i learned is that children find things that are not normal, scary, for example something is missing, something is added, the size, shape or colour are a bit off, basically anything they're not used to. The same thing can be used with adults. If you, the person reading this wants to draw something unsettling or creepy, use this tip.
They took the sign of the Illuminati which represents all things mystery, and used it as the final villain for a show all about mystery. It's not that original, just fitting
For me personally, you hit a line between a horrifying and a pitiable character. Having read about life in those times, coupled with the abuse this fictional child had gone through took away a bit from his scare factor. Now I'd be terrified if I heard him, petrified if I saw him, but somewhere in the back of my mind no matter what, I'd still hold some pity for him and his past life. I'm not entirely sure if pity is the word I'm looking for, but it fits best with my point. At this point anything old, dusty, and crusty in an attic could possibly scare me, but to think of a church's attic (if it has one) would creep me out so much worse because I would be in HIS territory, unknowing of how to get out, especially if there's an added warp to the architecture through demonic intervention. So yeah he's scary as all get out, but it's saddening on the flip side as well.
I personally think and prefer the ones without backstories like most cryptids or creepypasta because the lack of reason in their actions terrifies me much more
@@ilianoor6870 True, the reason for their animosity is never revealed, so it's scary to know that you don't know, and that you could very well die without ever finding out
I think a Pregnant lady (something pure) would be a good idea. Someone who thinks she is pregnant and swallows babies or some kind of idea where her stomach has faces and hands impronted from the inside would be even more scary

That story has potential to be the most disturbing psychological horror movie ever made. I would love to see even an animated series lol Fantastic work, just found your channel and have really enjoyed your content.
My problem with these types of horror characters is that I always feel more pity for them than scared of them. Like.. this poor kid! I just want to give him a hug and tell him it's ok!
Ooooo. I loved this one!!!!! You hit it right on the spot. And the story was good. Hearing him singing in an empty attic would send me outta there immediately!!!!!
This is a far more interesting, innovative and design-informed story than virtually anyone on your moodboard. You should be very proud. You've come up with a fascinating original idea in, what has essentially become a wasteland of a genre. Please don't misunderstand, I love horror, and I write primarily horror. But it seems like very few people in the industry are concerned with what is original, and are more inclined to choose something that they're certain will work. Of course, it doesn't always, and that scares them more than any nun or doll they could invent. I would absolutely go to see this in theaters. As always, great video!

Just saw this video and I am dumbfounded. This was so good that I was left with a thirst for more on this story. Congrats on such a disturbing story and incredible illustration and character design!
I think what I love the most about this, is the fact that Lucifer being the "Angel of Music.". Who Is said to be responsible for the creation of the Choir itself, would be the one to accept the choirboy. I think it adds a bit more layers to the story.
@@darlalathan6143 I’d honestly image that if he was haunting somewhere, all the birds in the area would die. I just feel like it would fit. Almost like he wants the only sound to be him
Lucifer was the angel of light....? And an archangel? Where'd this music thing come from? Sounds suspiciously protestant/puritan to me, and neither biblical nor Israelite nor first century. I've never heard that before, and I've learned a lot about Christianity in every stage including many superstitions that were founded in waning semi-Christian settings. A quick search on Google proves you didn't make it up. But I still have no idea where this information came from. So, like, where did you hear it or read it?
I feel like this character would be much scarier if it was created on a person, or maybe in clay. The drawing seems kinda sad, like I feel bad for the boy.
spn 53 and dalenna I magnate this think coming out of your television and chasing you trying to kill you painfully Don’t lie to yourself and say “I’m scared of nothing”
I think if you disregard the story he looks more like an unmanaged and disoriented old man... but then again, only the unknown and unimaginable backstory can shape the person. so okay. it's just like any old scary movies, if you know what scared them then you can scare them. just like how the devil works
@@swagmeister9559 I'm not saying I'm not scared of anything. I'm terrified of most things actually. I cried in a haunted house. But this drawing is not scary, it would probably be scarier in person. This image does not scare me
Oddly enough, all of that torture and malnutrition would actually make his voice worse. I did like how through the story he basically became the same monster that the priest who created him was, albeit a more twisted and horrifying version but equally as monstrous.
“Hello?” Julia called, stepping over the broken stones. A strange, dark fog seemed to hang over the ruins of the church that had been demolished long ago, although the air was completely dry. “Yeesh, this place creeps me out,” Alex muttered from behind her. “Why is it so dark here?” She shrugged, glancing up at the sky. “Well, a storm’s coming in soon. Maybe that’s it?” Alex just muttered something else to himself. She hopped over a larger stone and landed down into a small clearing on the other side, where the rubble had been cleared away to form a small space. In the middle was a small box. She tilted her head curiously. “Alex, over here! Something weird.” She heard panting behind her, and eventually came her brother, hopping down off the stone and landing next to her. “Huh.” He crouched down and looked at it. “Wonder what’s inside.” “Yeah, me too.” Julia reached down. Alex slapped her hand away. “No way! This place is freaky, I don’t think we should open random boxes.” She huffed with annoyance. “I know, I know. I’m just curious.” She looked around. “Don’t you think if this place is dangerous, we’d be dead by now?” He glared at her. “I hope you’re the first to die if something comes to kill us.” She chuckled. “Fine.” She kneeled down beside him and reached out her hand to the box. She hesitated. She felt . . . weird. It was unexplainable. She shook her head. She shouldn’t be so skittish. The creepy legend that roamed this area was obviously not true. She grabbed the box and lifted it. Alex stared at it, looking ready to bolt. She slowly began lifting the lid. She felt the shadows darken, the wind began to softly pick up until it let out a low howl that echoed through the ruins. Her chest tightened and chills creeped up her spine. She opened it, dropping the lid. Nothing happened. She let out a quiet sigh of relief and looked inside. She set the box down as she lifted what was inside. “Is that one of those cross necklaces?” Alex asked, his voice trembling a little. “You know, the things that priests wear?” Julia rolled her eyes. “It’s a demolished church, remember.” “Yeah, but don’t you think it’s weird how it’s like, sitting here so perfectly?” He pointed around the center of the clearing and slowly stood. He looked like he was shaking. “Hey, it’s okay, Alex.” She set the item into the box and closed it, then stood up. “We can just leave. We’ll tell Joe that we didn’t find anything important.” Alex froze. “Did you hear that?” His voice was quiet, and trembling. He looked absolutely terrified. “Hear what?” “Do y-you remember that creepy tale th-they warned us about?” he stammered, looking ready to cry. “About the little-choir boy?” Julia swallowed, her heart pounding. “Yeah,” she replied hesitantly. “How y-you hear him before y-you see him?” She quickly whipped around, looking in all directions. “Let’s get out of here,” she muttered. She grabbed Alex’s arm and lead him across the rubble. It was more difficult getting out than it had been getting over here. A piercing cry shattered through the still air, making her stop in her tracks. It was loud, and sorrowful. It was twisted and awful to hear, although she could almost believe it was someone trying to sing a beautiful song. “The Devil’s Angel,” Alex whispered quietly, before whimpering. “Come on!” she snapped, and began running across the rubble, slipping on stones and tripping. She could hear Alex stumbling behind her. She saw the end of the ruins up ahead, and only stopped briefly to see the best path out. Julia continued running, calling behind her to make sure Alex was following. Confused, she called again, slowing her pace. She climbed to the top of a stone and turned, and as she did, a horrible scream sliced through her thoughts. Alex was cornered, and the most awful thing she’d ever seen was creeping towards him from under a piece of rubble. Its face was bent and disheveled; it looked inhuman. It was shorter than Alex, but its limbs were long and animal-like. Its tattered clothing was yellowed and dull, when it was clear it had once been white and pure. Julia covered her mouth in terror, frozen to the spot as she watched its face twist in anger and leap upon Alex. It grabbed at his face with one long hand, its fingers looking bony and pointed like claws. With the other, it clenched her brother’s throat. She watched as Alex’s scream stopped short. The terrible song from earlier began again, as the creature turned and locked gazes with Julia. She spun around and scrambled for the exit, unable to hear her own thoughts at the sounds of the wind howling and the song increasing in volume. She could hear it behind her, coming, coming for her too. The rubble became more difficult to climb over, the shadows seeming to grab at her legs like monsters. It felt like she was moving underwater; her movements slow no matter how fast she tried to run. She jumped off one last stone and rolled onto grass. She was finally free of the ruins. Now, she raced away from the place, as fast as her legs could go. She felt something hot on her face, and realized it was tears. Her body ached and places on her legs and arms stung from where the stones had cut them. But she could still hear the song, drowning out everything. Angry, frustrated and desperate. It wanted her. Her chest tightened as the image of her brother’s throat being ripped away from him repeated in her head. She tried to push it away, but each attempt just made it more vivid. As she ran weakly across the faded path through the forest that lead to the ruins, the song seemed to grow more and more distant, as though giving up chase. But she didn’t stop running. She decided she would never complain about going to track again. Julia didn’t stop running until she reached the end of the woods, where the path opened up into a road. Parked at the other side was Joe’s old truck. She jogged over and pounded on the door. “Let me in,” she choked, her voice sounding unlike her own. Joe stared at her through the window before leaning over and opening the door of the shotgun seat. She pulled herself in, slammed the door shut, and stared ahead. “Where’s Ale-” “Shut up and start driving,” Julia said, her voice barely more than a whisper. She finally began really crying now. Long, terrible sobs that shook her entire body. The car drove across the road, and she buried her face in her hands, shielding herself from the view of outside. The woods that stretched on either side of the road taunted her with their shadows, and even above the rickety sound of Joe’s old truck, she thought she could still hear the howl of the wind. But in its echo was a sound more terrible than any other she had heard. A sound she would never be able to forget. The song of the choir boy would never leave her.
Jazza: makes a scary choirboy with a compelling backstory. Me: wants to hug Angelo and make him feel better. Then again I wanna hug most of the mood board and tell them everything thing is going to be better. Yes I realize that I could be the most cursed person in cinema if I did this but I would then become my own horror creature, “The Curse Bearer”. Also Jason from the Friday the 13th series needs a hug. As “The Curse Bearer” I would roam the world hugging/talking out the problems of all manner of supernatural villains and collecting whatever curses they bestow upon me. Some fear me for the curses I bear, while others welcome the relief I bring from their monsters. Ok new comic idea.
Pennywise and Chucky are my favourite horror characters, but I like a lot and I have watched pretty much every horror movie apart from older ones in black and white... I have only watched Psycho.

As a singing person, I think that can't work. But maybe that guy who tortured Angelo knew nothing about singing. We can add metal pipe :D That priest be like: "your throat must be open wide when you sing... let's shove metal pipe in your throat, why not@
I have to agree.. Watched a movie yesterday where the father killed everyone after he did something horrifying to his daughter and was then killed holding an object... There is a lot less empathy when someone has always been a psychopath
TheCatMurgatroyd thats just makes the worst villain designs tho everyone can have their own opinion but i aöways find it much more interesting when everyone is grey in their world view akd i dont think that always has to take away from the scare factor

Jazza could seriously produce movies. These ideas are incredible

The smiling boy on the bottom right. That one chills me the most! Love it (:

Google: oh that one, here you go:p

Just saw this video and I am dumbfounded. This was so good that I was left with a thirst for more on this story. Congrats on such a disturbing story and incredible illustration and character design!
The backstory really brings out the characters image, I love how his early experiences lead to him being a vengeful spirt
I think what I love the most about this, is the fact that Lucifer being the "Angel of Music.". Who Is said to be responsible for the creation of the Choir itself, would be the one to accept the choirboy. I think it adds a bit more layers to the story.
Yep. Give the Choirboy some demonic powers like Damien in "The Omen" and you got yourself a supervillain/monster!

Holy mother of pancakes your right.

“Why is it so dark here?”
She shrugged, glancing up at the sky. “Well, a storm’s coming in soon. Maybe that’s it?”
Alex just muttered something else to himself.
She hopped over a larger stone and landed down into a small clearing on the other side, where the rubble had been cleared away to form a small space. In the middle was a small box.
She tilted her head curiously. “Alex, over here! Something weird.”
She heard panting behind her, and eventually came her brother, hopping down off the stone and landing next to her. “Huh.” He crouched down and looked at it. “Wonder what’s inside.”
“Yeah, me too.” Julia reached down.
Alex slapped her hand away. “No way! This place is freaky, I don’t think we should open random boxes.”
She huffed with annoyance. “I know, I know. I’m just curious.” She looked around. “Don’t you think if this place is dangerous, we’d be dead by now?”
He glared at her. “I hope you’re the first to die if something comes to kill us.”
She chuckled.
“You know, the things that priests wear?”
Julia rolled her eyes. “It’s a demolished church, remember.”
“Yeah, but don’t you think it’s weird how it’s like, sitting here so perfectly?” He pointed around the center of the clearing and slowly stood. He looked like he was shaking.
“Hey, it’s okay, Alex.” She set the item into the box and closed it, then stood up. “We can just leave. We’ll tell Joe that we didn’t find anything important.”
Alex froze. “Did you hear that?” His voice was quiet, and trembling. He looked absolutely terrified.
“Hear what?”
“Do y-you remember that creepy tale th-they warned us about?” he stammered, looking ready to cry. “About the little-choir boy?”
Julia swallowed, her heart pounding. “Yeah,” she replied hesitantly.
“How y-you hear him before y-you see him?”
She quickly whipped around, looking in all directions.
“Where’s Ale-”
“Shut up and start driving,” Julia said, her voice barely more than a whisper.
Awesome
