Totally agree with this comment. After seeing some of his interpretations of the scarier side, I would love to see how far he takes it with a series just for ghost type Pokédex entries.
At gen 4 I read through every single ghost Pokémon Pokédex entry and categorised them as malicious, benign and other. The other category sort of became unintended evil, with few exceptions. The Gastly line got a lot of different entries. 2-3 per generation × 4 generations. They are mostly the same, but some tidbits are quite interesting.
pallosand has creeped me out "From the hollows in its arms, it fires the bones of its victims, which are all dried up after being drained of their vitality."
I adored this! Jazza made their design so friendly and clean. Pokémon can be so crazy and their Pokédex entries mostly are completely misleading which makes this series even more interesting. I am looking forward to more of this.
I really love this sort of series you get to see on the diversity creations just from words . Also I'm the only one who thinks Jazza made this as an opportunity to be a pokemon character
@@Joy-Boy850 i don't think it is, specially since he has done a lot of these kind of "i draw a character as originally described" videos, and he's made content around Pokemon a lot of times too. That's actually a good idea for a Pokémon, a bed sheet 'ghost' that is actually a small psychic type underneath the cloth, but you can't see normally it because it hides underneath It also works because psychic is immune to dark but a dark type would see it and think it's a ghost and try to attack it because ghost is weak to dark, but it's not a ghost type This is genuinely a great idea omg

I like how two out of three were straight up legendaries. Like "yeah let's give him absolute giant beasts", the team said. I can't wait to see more of these, especially with like, some more Ghost, Dark or Fairy types, because those are little bastards they are.
When he was freaking out about children being up against creatures that can destroy buildings with a wingbeat, I was laughing because I recognized Lugia's entry and the child characters don't get to see Lugia without Protagonist Plot Armor (their own, or that of someone in their vicinity).
This series should continue, I love to see how some pokedex entries are exaggerated, and due to that the Pokémon imagined become real monsters ( and less pocket)
@@azuroslazuli6948 The first thing I associate the phrase "out of pocket" with is when insurance doesn't cover something, and since I'm American the first thing I associate THAT with is medical bills. That was fun, and feeling happy I got Lugia right lol. Great job on drawing yourself as a trainer, and I loved the little booties on Flapwoopsi lol Hope you do more of these 🙂
Oh man, ok, I'm gonna try to guess along with the Pokedex entries. 1. Mega Glalie. Glalie is pretty dang big, though 4' 11", I can't say for sure. The weight also seems off, but who knows how much a huge chunk of ice like that would weigh. The huge mouth is what makes me think Glalie since while I initially associate Ice types who capture prey with Froslass, the other evolution of Snorunt, Glalie is the one with the big mouth. To compensate for the weight and height being slightly more than I'd expect, I'm going with Mega Glalie since A, I think it's a curveball the team would have thrown in, and B, it's just bigger and probably more aggressive. - In hindsight, maybe starting with such a curveball as a Mega wasn't the best idea, but you know what, I got the Pokemon, just a different form. 2. Necrozma. This one is easy for me. It's a Pokemon searching for light, which was Necrozma's whole deal, and it has the Prism Armor ability, which is also something unique to Necrozma I believe. Being from another world is also another giveaway. I'm also going to say it's not any of the alternate forms since I believe all three of those have a second type in addition to Psychic. - Again, this one was easy for me, especially since there's really nothing else it could have been. Gotta say, props to whoever picked Necrozma of all Pokemon. 3. Lugia. Let's be honest, the thumbnail gives it away, but even still, a Pokemon with huge wings that lives deep under the sea is just screaming Lugia. Even further, it's massive and has the Pressure ability, something which many Legendary Pokemon have. The Psychic/Flying combo also just solidifies it, since it's the whole "wait, you mean Lugia ISN'T a Water type?" thing. - Again, the thumbnail gives it away, but even still, it's pretty clearly Lugia. I feel like Legendary/Mythical Pokemon have such distinct Dex entries that they're easier to guess. Now for some feedback as both an artist and more importantly, a huge Pokemon nerd. Out of all three designs, the first one feels the most like a real Pokemon to me. I could definetly see it as an Ice type that has sort of a nervous and maybe even shy personality. Not really fitting of the Dex entry, but great in its own right. Reminds me of Pokemon like Cubchoo and Eiscue. The second I think strays the furthest from the prompt. The whole prism aspect just wasn't there, which isn't too big of an issue I suppose, but the main thing to me is that it just doesn't feel like a Psychic type. It feels more in line with Ghost Pokemon like Shuppet and Mimikyu rather than your average Psychic Pokemon. I think that it's probably the weakest design of the three, but still really fun as a character. The last one, again, doesn't really feel like a Pokemon, but that's not too big of an issue because you can't be expected to draw in the exact same style or anything. I also don't get Psychic out of this one, and I think it leans too far towards the Water aspect of things, but to be fair, Lugia also does that, so I guess you hit it on the head there. As some pointers for the future, which I'd LOVE to see more of this in the future, Pokemon designs and types have some shared traits between them, namely the eyes. If a Pokemon is more aggressive, they tend to have smaller and sharper eyes, basically triangles. Think Voltorb or Charizard. Cuter Pokemon have larger round eyes, though sometimes they can have small beady eyes like you'd see on Diglett, or even wilder cases like the spiral eyes of Spinda. It's also worth remembering that, in general, Pokemon are based on animals, plants, or objects. For example, Glalie is a big chunk of ice, and Necrozma is more angular to represent a prism. Things like Vileplume are based on the rafflesia, while Pokemon like Klefki are based on, well, a set of keys. I'd love to see a future video like this where some of these aspects are considered, but hey, I'll still watch it and support it regardless. If anyone reading this wants to start drawing or improve at drawing Pokemon, take those aspects into consideration. Of course not EVERY Pokemon will fit the same templates and rules, but they're a nice general set of guidelines you can strive to get at least close to. Have fun everyone, and keep on drawing.
Minor side note: Mega Glalie entry would’ve mentioned a broken/dislocated jaw. Ultra Moon for example: The power of Mega Evolution was so strong that it smashed Glalie's jaw. Its inability to eat very well leaves Glalie irritated.
really like this. if you want you should do this again and include the pokedex "category" of each. for example pikachu's is the "mouse pokemon" and bulbasaur's is "seed pokemon." i think these could give a little more direction without giving it away

With Necrozma I really wish you’d cued to the ability Prism Armor indicating it had a prism or jewel-like body structure. Not sure the Pokédex really gives you enough information about the Pokémon’s appearance by itself.
Same. That annoyed me so much! I also would have atleast had ability descriptions too(Like what they do. Like how Intimiate lowers opposing Pokemons attack)

I may have to do this challenge myself-though I'll have to find someone to grab some Pokedex entries... or maybe make/find a random Pokedex entry generator so I can see it and not know what it's from.
This exercise is absolutely genius to just sit and create your own Pokémon. They are fairly simple and there’s no rules to the way they look. I struggle with having inspiration to draw at times and this has gave me a good idea. I think any skill level of artist could do this even. Dedicate 20 pages of your sketch book. 10 to play and sketch and 10 final designs of your very own madeupnpokemon style creatures. Completely from your mind. I couldn’t be more excited to try this when I get home. Thank you!!!!!
Love this idea! Especially as a big Pokémon fan it’s fun to guess the Pokémon just from the description! I’d love to see Jazza’s reaction to the fact that Necrozma is technically not even a Pokémon, but an Ultra Beast!
Wow, fantastic idea. Will definitely be watching more of this series in the future. You could also do Stitch characters because I doubt you would be able to remember all of them off hand 😜🤭
This was a really cool video idea, I loved this. I also want to see more of flapwoopsie (the comment section seems to really like him) and I'd love to see more drawing pokémon by descriptions videos
Love ur series I choose you jazza to do this with how to train your dragon dragons if you get your crew to write a description on them and you can read the description and draw them how they’ve been described hope you see this 😊
This concept kind of worries me knowing that there exist cut Pokémon from Ruby and Sapphire that only have a Pokédex entry and are otherwise lost to time. We may never know what they might have been, and whatever we can imagine, it could be anything in reality.
Would you consider drawing superhero characters based on only descriptions? Several different artists seem to disagree on how to make a lot of them look like. Some of which include Wolverine and Spider-Man, among others.
Lugia is my favorite Pokemon so I knew right away who it was haha! I get a kick out of how outrageous the Pokedex entries are in this series but it's fun, just like this drawing challenge seemed to be. I like Flapwoopsi! 😄
Is there anyone else out there who wouldn't mind seeing Gobsicle's, Barnyshy's and Flapwoopsi's Shinies? Or even Regional Formes? Or Mega Evolutions? I wouldn't mind, but the first one I actually thought of Froslass, Snorunt's OTHER Evolution! Ah, well... Then again, they're better than some more modern designs I've seen... And, 10:03! When you realise how big some Pokémon's actually are!
Jazza: “It has-like-gills…” “And a leafy tail to like-navigate” “I gave it these little antennae things…” The Description: Ghost Dark Electric Ice Rock… Like aka basically every other Pokémon type 😂
Jazza's 2nd Pokémon: grumpy grandfather barney the dinosaur. The actual Pokémon: The incomplete extradimensional consumer of all light that can fuse with the literal embodiments of the Sun & Moon to gain strength greater than the creator of everything Arceus AKA Pokémon God himself.
You should totally do one where someone describe the pokemon for you to draw, and see how close you can get.
Love this idea! Especially as a big Pokémon fan it’s fun to guess the Pokémon just from the description! I’d love to see Jazza’s reaction to the fact that Necrozma is technically not even a Pokémon, but an Ultra Beast!
The early sketch for Barnyshy looked kind of like a half peeled banana XD i loved it
Draw a psychic type!
Jazza: a ghost type? Okay!
Wow, fantastic idea. Will definitely be watching more of this series in the future.
You could also do Stitch characters because I doubt you would be able to remember all of them off hand 😜🤭
I love flapwoopsie so much!
A Pokémon episode of my favorite series!! Yes!!!
To be honest I’d love to see Jazza draw Pokémon. Maybe “TCG packs decide what Pokémon I draw” videos would be nice
Hey! I suggested this idea! :D not sure if others also suggested it but I definitely did and seeing it done is very cool.
I need more of this! It was amazing! ❤
If you read the Pokemon names at 2:50 you are gonna see some fantastic good names
The flapwoosi impression put me off 💀
I kinda want Jazza to do a whole deck of "Jazzamons"?
This was a really cool video idea, I loved this. I also want to see more of flapwoopsie (the comment section seems to really like him) and I'd love to see more drawing pokémon by descriptions videos
Amazing as always
Flapwoopsi is the cutest thing and I love your interpretation of his personality. So cute!
Love ur series I choose you jazza to do this with how to train your dragon dragons if you get your crew to write a description on them and you can read the description and draw them how they’ve been described hope you see this 😊
Great idea, that would actually be so fun! I hope he sees this :)
11:42-12:00 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve never nose laughed so hard in my life! 🤣🤣🤣
Guessed them all. That final outro gave me drawfee vibes 😂
10:22 I heard the Danish dub of Slowking in my mind as I saw that description: "Lugia - havenes beskytter!"
14:23 he looks like something from adventure time!
That is Exactly what I thought when I saw it.
This is my first jazza video and he's amazing I love his art style and his humor nerdycrafter was right he is amazing
This concept kind of worries me knowing that there exist cut Pokémon from Ruby and Sapphire that only have a Pokédex entry and are otherwise lost to time. We may never know what they might have been, and whatever we can imagine, it could be anything in reality.
“You knocked over my f-ing house mate” 😂🤣
Would you consider drawing superhero characters based on only descriptions? Several different artists seem to disagree on how to make a lot of them look like. Some of which include Wolverine and Spider-Man, among others.
Love this! You make me want to do the same with scarlet and violet since I haven't played or watched any gameplay !
Thank you for this fun idea :)
Lugia is my favorite Pokemon so I knew right away who it was haha! I get a kick out of how outrageous the Pokedex entries are in this series but it's fun, just like this drawing challenge seemed to be. I like Flapwoopsi! 😄
Seven foot??? I'M FOUR FOOT killed me lmao
Can u draw httyd exactly as describe in the book of dragons??
Omg please read the top comment I didn’t even see your comment omg great minds think alike I was just liking everyone’s comment to be nice lol :)
Jazza: “It has-like-gills…” “And a leafy tail to like-navigate” “I gave it these little antennae things…”
The Description: Ghost Dark Electric Ice Rock…
Like aka basically every other Pokémon type 😂
Jazza's 2nd Pokémon: grumpy grandfather barney the dinosaur.
The actual Pokémon: The incomplete extradimensional consumer of all light that can fuse with the literal embodiments of the Sun & Moon to gain strength greater than the creator of everything Arceus AKA Pokémon God himself.
I know too much about pokémon & guessed them all right.
I think an average 10 year old is at least 4’6😂
Wrong I'm 4,7
Ok?
JAZZA!! I HAVE AN IDEA!!! A great one in fact...
You should draw indie-game characters only based on their descriptions!!
First one I'd like you to draw (Scroll down for the character) :
Tall, Muscular, Inky Body
Overalls, an Axe and a Cartoon Demon Mask Covering His "Face"
Cartoon world
Devout Follower Of "His Lord"
The character is: Sammy Lawrence from Bendy and The Ink Machine
