This was very helpful. Thank you! I also suggest spraying sealant to prevent glitter from falling off.
That is a great point. Thanks!
Thank you for explaining why you bake the cones.
❤ Thank you
I use a small paint brush to apply glue or acrylic paint
Great video!
Beautiful! Thank you 👍
I suggest painting on the glue and sprinkling the epsom salt onto the pine cones.
My niece and I did this, and then sprayed it with an adhesive so she could add glitter.
Ooh, that’s such a great idea! Glitter would make it that much better, I’ll have to try it next time.
They are called pine cone scales (had to look it up myself 😉)
Great video, thank you.
Thx!😋
Good morning....do you need to bake pinecones that you buy from the store???
I doubt it. If they’re closed then maybe baking them will open them up, but I think it would be unlikely. The ones I got from outside were closed because they were wet, so baking dried them out and they opened. If they’re closed from the store they’ve likely done something to keep them closed.
How long in the oven?
Hi! The time varies depending on what you’re doing. It shouldn’t take longer than 20-30 minutes though. If they’re closed then just keep checking and turning them until their open, however long that takes. If they’re already open, you’re mostly just killing bugs, so 30 minutes should be plenty for that.
Cahaba Crafts does your oven not to be stingky cause of pinecone?
If you pick them up outside, you need to bake them or else you’ll have bugs/worms crawling out
Fake photo in the start..
Nope it’s real if you look the cones look the same
