The BMW looks good and sounds absolutely fantastic, the Mercedes looks and sounds mean, the Toyota GT-One and the Audi R8C look fantastic... damn, 1999 was THE year.
no race like Le Mans 1999, the mega career history for ever and ever the best race of all time, magic, and eternal. 24 h le mans 1999, this race will forever be in the first position of eternity.
Mmm, my heart dies every time I see those punctures. If only the Toyota had been given one more year to sort them out! Really important Le Mans in that it's lead to so much. This is where we see the genesis of prototype sports cars as we know them. I was quite young when I saw it too (I am 26) and it's still my favourite Le Mans to date. Not too fond of the newer Diesel cars. I like to hear a car scream!
driving at night seems incredibly hard..i mean some areas of the track is like pitch black...i assume its hard seeing where the turns are. Speaking of which I'm wondering..How do you win Le Mans? Is it first to complete 500 laps for example or do they give points for staying in the lead longer and other things liek that? Thanks for uploading these vids..i love Professional Racing
I dont mean to sound petty, but the announcer made a mistake at 5:00.#5 Mercedes driven by Peter Dumbrek did not flip and crash on the Mulsanne Straight. It was at the 2nd dog-leg curve on the way "The Kink" and "Indianapolis Corner".
I have watched just about every LeMans. 1999 race was the best and we'll never see a race and cars like that again.
Lol, hes uploaded the 1999 Le Mans summary VHS, use to watch this all the time as a kid!

It’s whoever is in the lead after 24 hours. I think you can get points for other things but I am unsure.
epic race!!

4:40 my god that BMW
The Mercedes it's power up in gain ... but unlucky in race not yet!
is this the Duke Video 99 review btw? cause it looks like it but its a bit short for a 24h review...
@MoeTheSyco thanks for the information dude its good to know
lol that mechinic almost killed hhhhhhhh
Damn i wish they didnt kill the CLR program that car couldve won le mans 2000
They really were beautiful cars. Quick too. They should have done something sooner about the aerodynamic issues and it would have been perfect.
@leonelcuellar Whoever has finished the most laps
haha its probably better to kill the program than to kill all of ur lead drivers.
