Hiking The Dales Way

Thanks for watching our video highlights of The Dales Way. We completed this hike in May of 2024 with a few friends of ours from Utah. Like several of our other hikes, logistics were handled by a third-party - in this case, we used Mickledore Travel. Mickledore is headquartered in Keswick, England. We were very pleased with the support we received from then before and during the hike.
We choose to tackle The Dales Way in 8 segments over the course of 9 days. We’ve come to realize that days of over 13 miles leave little time for stops to enjoy the scenery, take pictures or videos, or to have a long and relaxing lunch. We planned a ‘zero’ day in Ribblehead because of its adjacent rail station. This allowed us to take a quick train ride to Settle to get some laundry done.
Of our long distance hikes so far, The Dales Way was by far the easiest.
