For those looking for the drought demon blade, i tried to farm the battle of wuchao mission for days but did not get anything. The mission “ behold the glaive of righteousness” is the best way to farm the weapon. The mid boss(s) will usually always drop you the weapon. Just beat them and restart the mission. Rinse, repeat till you get a 4star. After days of farming the other mission with no luck, i was able to get it after 2 hours doing this mission.
Don’t forget to randomly mix it up and do some other mission here and there cuz there’s a diminishing returns scaling in the game where if you spam the same mission you’ll get less and less loot
@@OrenFrost so for diminishing returns can I just do the same mission repeatedly and then do another mission and the rewards will return again? Or does the mission I’m trying to farm rewards always stay lower constantly?
@@OrenFrost Interesting. I have not noticed reduced drop rates for farming a single mission at all. Does it take a long time before you get reduced drop rates?
If you like the chivalrous dual swords you should definitely get Gan Jiang And Mo Ye dual swords. Basically a better version and is also an A rating with Wood (HP).
Dual Rooster-Crowing Halberds with Beckoning Pine + Skyward Evergreen Martial Arts single handedly brought me through NG and NG+. Doing both Martial arts back-to-back is stupidly powerful, especially against large enemies and bosses
I honestly don't know how you can cope with it, love the weapon myself but I use the tornado weapon art to make it usable otherwise its just too slow for me.
I highly recommend civalry dual swords with 99 Water Phase + 51 Fire Phase, and the Wizardy Spell from Water phase ( the one witch iceshards from above enemy) is OP, it oneshots enemies with huge hitboxes.
People really sleep on Hua Xiong weapon from the hulao gate mini boss before Lu Bu. It's a staff and it's unique is great for applying elemental statuses and it's more reliable than Sun ce
I really love the demon blade...my fav weapon style is the curve blade. Oh I only want to add ganyu's glaive weapon for the bunny jump spam, really strong too
You can embed weapon load stats in any weapon. You can use the smith hammer and The martial arts and set bonuses, like negative effect bonuses which can add +10%+ damage not including individual gear bonuses. Fiend vanquisher is also a pretty good spell that’s similar to the guidang blade MA.. except you can pop on the staunchest set, get a poleaxe with almost 20% bonus damage and put out tonnes of damage.. plus the spirit damage on a poleaxe is pretty massive on quick targets like the final FINAL boss. Melted him in ng+
My endgame build right now is a fire metal build running both the guding blade and the dread blade. Also running the Curse of the stars set for that crazy 10% bonus to curved sabres. I mostly use the dread blade for its insane damage output with the fire buff but swap to guding blade to break tougher enemies. Poison and fire have insane synergy and my build is very flexible and is destroying ng+.
@@cheeg1538 Yea of course. I am running 40 in metal to unlock venom snare which is probably the best way to apply poison. Then I like running life wither for more damage. I have 90 in fire and use blasting flare and engulfing inferno. But you can honestly mix and match the spells. There are a lot of good spells in both fire and metal so just experiment with what you like. But most of the damage comes from fire spells and the DOT so you want to stack fire as high as possible. The weapons both scale A with both fire and metal so you get really high attack rating with your weapon as well. For Armor I am running the Curse Star of Hejian for the strong passive bonuses but you could honestly run any medium armor. I had to put 6 into earth to still have B agility for a decent dodge. There is more to the build than that but honestly just experiment for yourself. Fire and Metal have very strong synergy and i love the Guding blade and the Dread blade which both Scale A with metal and Fire so there is just a ton of synergy between the two. Also remember that when and enemy is poisoned they take way more fire damage so you definitely want to try to get that poison stacked on them.

Bronze dual swords don’t have a locked red affix so they are much better IMO… you can enchant them with an element and don’t need to rely on having light equip
Great video! There is one Martial art skill witch I think is random that I have on a set of duel axes. When using the Martial art skill it makes you side dash then move forward. After getting the axes I simply don’t want to use another weapon without that martial art skill. Not only is it a amazing gap closer but it’s the fastest martial art skill in the game and you can use it to side step most attacks in the game to then get a side/back angle on them. Wish I knew the name of the Martial art skill tho so I could share it. Not home this weekend. If anyone is interested in it I will leave a comment under when I get home with the name on it. Could y’all make a video for material farming for upgrading weapons and armor? Like locations where you can lots of each rank materials in one go. I notice some levels have like three of four materials but are separate and far apart while others have three materials in two spots and close to one another. It’s hard finding a good farming video and y’all usually do videos on farming materials stuff.
Idk if the loot is always the same between players but the chest on top of the first ladder after opening the gate ALWAYS had those dual swords for me, every single time when I was farming the cups I stopped there and kept getting them. Only 3stars but it still might be worth checking out. Not sure if the martial arts were always the same tho
I used Lu Bu's halberd and its very strong. If you are running a fire build it will be very effective. The unique martial art is pretty good as well. I personally dont love the halberd moveset as it is a bit slow for me but overall I think its a strong weapon for sure. Have not used the Yu Sword but I think it also would be very solid since straight swords have a good moveset.
Incorrect info the obtaining the Guding Blade, it does not in fact require getting max rank with Sun Jian, you can also obtain it by doing the mission where you fight him and Sun Ce together, allowing you to skip the sworn brothers stuff This being said, how in the actual F do you not include Azure Dragon Crescent Blade? Soaring Phoenix is an AMAZING MA, that you can spam and keep yourself in the air avoiding most strikes.
Ive been trying to get rank 5 double swords, shit has worse RNG that Warframe, if you've played Warframe, and had a hard time farming for something, its worse here
Can anybody confirm that the Staff of King Yufu actually drops in 4 star or better? Been farming for hours with over 150 luck on my gear and well...no luck getting anything but 3 stars
The Guding Blade doesn't always ignore critical attacks. I've been laid out many times halfway through my flashy sprinting bit. I couldn't tell you why or what the special conditions are for such a thing to happen. All I know is if get lazy and try to kill enemies as fast as possible and ignore defense I almost always get wrecked mid sparkly dash. Perhaps getting hit with a critical from the side is what does it.
I did Pride of the Yu clan around 10 times with the Master Smith Hammer and full luck gear, I always get the 3 star variant, is it possible to get a 4* variant of the golden staff of king yufu as reward for Pride of the Yu Clan at all?
This game has soo many good weapons its hard to pick. Main issue is combat system that punish use of slow weapons too much. Its noticeable step down from Nioh2 that was much more flexible and was catering to more playstyles. Block,dodge,parry/critical counter were all playable.
I have not tried the hammers but the glaives are very strong weapon type and are very effective against a lot of enemies. I cleared most of the game with a slashing spear which is also on the slower side of weapons. They are actually very strong in there own way. But you just have to adopt a bit different playstyle.
@@SanityPotion776 i have cavalry halberd and issue i have is that some enemies with 1h sword can block cancel in to peril that is faster than swing recovery.
It will probably be the Lingbao graces set. Applies spirit vulnerability on martial art, power drop on wizardry hit, damage amp on fatal strike and 20% damage increase if your enemy has 3 debuffs on them. It's head and shoulders above the other graces sets imo.
@@Percbooststamina The best place at the moment is the mission in chapter 2 with the single monkey boss. Graces are just a random chance on any gear that's not part of a set and 4 or 5*. They only drop in Ng+
honestly anything with high water scaling just seems like a waste of time since levelling water isn't very useful. Sadly, there's also no point in optimising builds in this game because there's nothing that requires doing so
@@Johnny2Badd idk what a grace set is so maybe there's something i'm missing but as a fighting game enthusiast wo long definitely lacks depth and difficulty. Knowing Team Ninja, we'll have to wait for DLC before they add critical features to the game.
@@gameclips5734 the grace sets require a minimum of 70 stat investment, also easy way to make the game difficulty spike is play at moral rank 15 on bosses etc. It literally becomes 10x harder

I was having trouble with Zhang Liao mission 1v1, where you can't summon reinforcements. I switched to the Guding Blade with Zhangfei's set and beat it in under 5 tries. It's ridiculous how OP that sword is against human enemies, and it has one of the highest deflect rate weapons in the game. I am pretty bad at deflection but this sword made it super easy, was able to deflect every single one of his critical art.

This is also how I farmed the whole 4 star armor set. Its a really good weapon set especially if you are also using the guding blade.

I know you attack with X and spirit attack with Y but how do you use the special (martial arts) attack with a weapon?
