If I'm grumbling about the world and the new generations I'm just going to come here and be inspired. Bravi! And the video is great too: like the original song, simple, elegant and performed with sparkle and grace.
I'm glad to have come across this. Theres a lot of great performers in this video I felt like i was listening to a brand new sound. I need to practice more music because everyone here belonged to this song and i really do love that about this.
Great cover. If Belle and Sebastian ever do a cover of this song (which they totally should do), I’ll vouch for you doing it first. Edit: btw, anyone else think this is one of the saddest tv themes ever written?
Does the pianist know the story the film maker seems to be making about him and the flautist? (Does the film maker?) Not that it matters, but it's a nice touch to a great cover.
@@basedchimera5859 The one playing the piano is doing life for murder. A great cover of a great song. The only thing is the whole Glee/Fame vibe kinda makes me want to puke. Wish I'd just heard this version. Twisted? Me? Probably.
Singers need to work on their cardio and lengthen those aborted phrases!!! Though Matt has a tendency to be short of breath when he sings...that shouldn't inspire cover singers to mimic his weaknesses. I also don't understand why the harmony voice is dominant in this AND the original...I'd like to here the melody voice dominate...it would work far better!!
This is one of my favourite songs ever and this rendition is just wonderful and magnificent. Thank you ❤️
Matt Berry would be so proud!
I love Matt's writing so much. This group took it a step further. So gorgeous.
A beautiful rendition...I have to be honest and declare that I prefer this to the original.
Great music guys

one of my favourite songs of all time, it's great to see it getting the attention it deserves
I know a Clem at work. I've called him Clem Fandango for years and he has no idea why.
Absolute top bombing this guys. Fantastic amount of depth to the sound, you hear something new every listen.
Steven, can you hear me.
Azim Khan Yes I can hear you Clem Fandango. What do you want now?
This is Clem Fandango.
The feeling here is that it needs more energy. Can you take it from the top again Steven?
Absolutely delightful. Thank you so much for making this
Fabulous rendition and video. Reminds me of when I was in college filming music videos...except that yours looks like a happy experience!
Absolutely brilliant rendition! You nailed it!
Love the song. Love this cover. Enjoyed this video and seeing some students have fun with this. Surprised how much this takes me back to schooldays.
gorgeous
Nicely done😎👍

Depends on context. In Toast of London, maybe. When it appears as a leitmotif in Snuff Box, definitely.
It leaves me in floods every time & i'm never quite sure why... I thought it was just me!
Fooking Beauty Mate!!
This is incredible!
Actually like this better than the original recording. Great job.
Look, don't get me wrong, I love MB but THIS is what the song SHOULD have sounded like.
👏How could anyone not like this?
Love this sweet poppy cover. Also the drummer's Axl Rose dance moves are excellent.
Good job guys this is beautiful
Keep up the good work 👍

Very beautiful!

Well done guys, you nailed it..

WITCHHAZEL.
Perfection.
it took me hours to remember where I've heard the melody before!!!
(pulp and before that general public - tenderness)
Great cover... and that ending..
Brilliant
Why does this song make me cry? Honestly curious, like what does this song do that makes it both sad and groovy
Excellent version - made me smile! :)
Wonderful cover. 👏👏👏
Love it !!!
great work! i wish i knew how to play this on piano!
Excellent
Sing you canaries!!
Great cover and video guys :-)
Thats bloody amazing! I would have done anything to be a part of this 😫
I would happily have this song play at both my funeral & wedding, & both would feel appropriate.
I'm here because of toast. And because this song is just bloody beautiful.
Well done kiddos ❤️🤘
1:25 that's exactly what an "oh shit you're looking at me" moment looks like
Yeeeesss!!
James Acaster on piano??
Honestly I love the original but this is special
Steven, this Clem Fandango, can you hear me?
Hi there, would you be so kind as to tell me where you picked up the sheet music for the piano? I'd love to play it myself l!
did you ever find it?
@@maxheslop2890 Hey Max, no I haven't..But I managed to learn the song somehow.

How did you decide on this song?
Anyone know where i might be able to find the sheet music for the Piano?
did you ever find it?
HEY CLEM H FANDANGO!
Someone please please post the piano sheet music
Fucking amazing!!!
Does the pianist know the story the film maker seems to be making about him and the flautist? (Does the film maker?) Not that it matters, but it's a nice touch to a great cover.
Toast would approve.
reminds me of a slower version of that Maxine Nightingale song
How did you get the piano sheet of the song? I’ve been finding it for months and there’s none on the internet
Where did you find the sheet music for the piano? :))
Me ears are about to fizz
Purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More Synths!!!
Man, that's austere.
Is there any sheet music for this? I’ve been trying to learn the piano part but can’t find it anywhere
fucking perfect gang fuck yeah!!!
wanna shout out at the horn section!
CF: "Hi Steven. Its Clem Fandango. Can you hear me?"
ST: "I fucking DARE you to say that again!"
Steven can you hear me?
Nicely done! Sounds a bit like a Sufjan Stevens arrangement, with slightly less polished vocals, but much more polished instruments and orchestration
Well, well, well. If it isn’t Stephen “hide your wife because I’ll $#*& anything” Toast!
That's for fucking my wife! And making me look like a dog's nut back there!
James Pilcher Ray bloody Purchase
@@jamespilcher5287 that's one of my favorite moments in the show. He just comes out of nowhere and whoops his ass.
Am I going crazy or are the lyrics different?
turn the bass up in the mix. great cover
perhaps only a "metronome" could have helped a little, but still great!!
Nah tbf I'm the drummer and I was well hungover that day
@@gwinterborn That's kinda weak

Well, well, well ...

Guy on the piano has a face like the main singer of the Trashcan Sinatras.
Steven.
Yes.
This is Clem H Fandango.
Yes I know.
Can u you hear me Steven?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!
Very wholesome. So sad that they've all now descended into lives of drugs, crime and prostitution.
Wait seriously

Not so much of a 'neigh', more a 'whinny'...
Nice cover, but definitely running a little hot. Keeping the og tempo would have sounded a little better. Enjoyed it all the same!
A bit too fast.
A great cover of a great song. The only thing is the whole Glee/Fame vibe kinda makes me want to puke. Wish I'd just heard this version. Twisted? Me? Probably.
