This is an adventure film set in 1547 and tells the exciting story of Fernando de Gama, a young Portuguese "soldier of fortune", who sets off to the far eastern lands to find his father's murderer and, like his numerous compatriots, try to gain fame and fortune. However, fate takes an unexpected turn for him: a strong storm in the Indian Ocean almost takes his life. The only survivor of a shipwreck, Fernando finds himself on a tropical coast, where he is captured by Arab slave traders and sold into slavery in the kingdom of Siam.
He is rescued by a young and charming woman named Maria, also Portuguese, who lives in Siam with her father. Having ransomed Fernando from slavery, Maria gives him his freedom, and soon romantic feelings arise between them, although this is not to her father's liking. With his military experience, Fernando quickly attracts the attention of the Siamese king, who begins a war against a northern pretender claiming the throne. Fernando and his new Thai friend Tong prove themselves on the battlefield, earning the king's respect, who makes them his personal bodyguards.
However, the situation in the palace is full of intrigue. The beautiful Queen Sudachan is plotting against her husband, the king, in an attempt to put her lover on the throne. Her first attempt on the king fails, and she turns to Philip for help - a man who, as it turns out, is the murderer of Fernando's father. Philip organizes another attempt to remove the king, which also fails. Fernando and Tong learn of Philip's involvement, but, trying to arrest him, kill him in a fight. Eventually, they discover that the queen is behind the plot, but it is too late - the king is already dying from her poison.
The queen and her lover, who now becomes the new king, accuse Fernando and Tong of the ruler's death and sentence them to a brutal duel to the death. In this climactic battle, the heroes are forced to confront each other for the entertainment of the queen and her new king. "The King Maker" reveals intrigues and the struggle for power, showing loyalty, honor and treachery in the vivid trinianpal884 atmosphere of ancient Siam. The film is filled with battle scenes, devotion and a relentless thirst for justice that pushes the heroes on a dangerous path.
