I agree about the Delaware, it's been my favorite forever. The whole area, Neversink, Willowemoc, Beaverkill and a bunch of smaller lesser known streams are all fantastic. The whole Catskill region is a trout anglers paradise.

Wow!! This video takes the cake!! I really like when you got a good drift you were so right and immediately hooked up. Not once but twice! Love the size and colors on the first rainbow and the massive beautiful brown. Whatta perfect example of a brown. Always love seeing that bluish colored dot that wild browns portray. The last one was a nice one too. So glad you had a great outing on your first time on the Del! Love the drone footage also. Really adds another dimension to your videos. I’m sure it’s going to be a very interesting fishing season with the drone and your new fly “the natural “ and the River soldier! Looking forward to more great videos from you! Thanks !

16:39 . The GameLands!!! That pool has blanket Hendricksons so thick you can walk on them. . Please hit the trico hatch there, also, The East Branch Del above the "jaws" pool is also amazing for Green Drakes, olives, caddis, etc. What I love about the East Branch is it's peaceful. Serious rednecks up there, they might shoot the drone down. Very nice dredging footage, bravo. God I miss that whole river system.

@@DownstreamDownrange final note, I swear. Hit the East branch when it's moderately high. 600- maybe 1000. Post june 1 Thunderstorms. When it's low it's impossible. Skittish fish. But right now it also cranks Hendricksons by the train load.But it doesn't get the insane pressure like the WB. Mellow.

Good video. I especially appreciate your artistic touches! I had to laugh after you caught that first fish thinking there are even bigger ones in that stretch of water which you certainly proved with the next one you caught!. No doubt it was 20+ .
BTW if the fish does run downstream you can still hold onto it although it will swim thru some turbulent water because you can walk the shore line with it. I fish that area regularly.
Notice from your first visit to the WB that you play the fish off the reel now. Actually there is no choice given the strength of the fish and current. Also see that you have already figured out how on the WB you have to try to get into slower water to land a fish otherwise it can be impossible.
One suggestion. Get a large net, or in my case being cheap, I made an 18 inch extension on my net. It is very hard to land a fish with the “traditional” sized trout net on the WB.
Since I fish the WB once a week including above and below where you were, hope to run into you and say hello.
Again had to laugh after your first video knowing full well you would get obsessed with that river! You never know what you will hook up on the next cast. It could be a sipping fish and it turns out to be another 20+ fish.

When you’re fishing big broken shallow water like that, are you covering all of it or actually targeting certain areas?
I try to cover the whole dang thing! Grid pattern sometimes! Go all the way across and then move up or down 10 feet and so it again!

These fishing videos make me nauseous. Old school anglers would never do this. The WB is overrun because of all these guys posting to get attention.Thiose trout at 191 bridge get caught all day everyday, you're not showing us anything we don't know. Also if you want to be a pro when you catch a trout act like you been there before. Giving us advice on flies to use is so nice of you
