    The chipper is like a Swiss Army knife, does everything and folds away after. Thanks for posting.

    That Albrach is some piece of kit...... A whole wood processing plant that can travel at 85kph, amazing. Glad that you're cutting at last & yields look good so far. ATB.

      Been a funny season, so we are glad to see reasonable yields. Just needs the weather to settle down now.

    It's all go on the farm this week. That wood chipper is some beast of a machine and is very impressive to watch it working. Expensive too, I'll bet that it cost a fortune to get a fancy piece of kit like that.
    It seems like it was only a few weeks ago that the peas were being sown and the viners are harvesting them already. They are the first machines I have seen on tracks !
    All the videos of viners working that I've watched before have been running on tyres. So I guess that peas viners on tracks were the next level of evolution for them too.
    Less compaction and less chance of getting stuck in soft ground.
    Also super to see the Claas getting started on the harvesting and to hear the yield is so good after all the bad weather earlier this year.
    The big bulk of straw is a bonus too as there will be a good ready market for it this year from what I've read and heard about the straw market.
    Another excellent video this week.

      Thank you 😊 yes all the kit is getting bigger and more expensive as the years go by. All our straw is sold for going into the power stations

    • @DonaldFraser-c9v

      @JDautopower Just the thought of all that good straw going up in smoke in a power station would bring tears to the eyes of many livestock farmers in my area.
      There's already huge acreages straw used for covering carrots over winter up here, and that's making straw for the livestock farmers use scarce and expensive, too.

      @@DonaldFraser-c9v I agree it’s criminal. Unfortunately it’s not my decision

    Nice clean stubble and straw will be very welcome for straw merchants Pea viners always a nice sight to see slowly going across a field and the size of back up crews amazing operation

    • @JDautopower
      @JDautopower  2 місяці тому

      All our straw sold to Northern Straw and is destined for power stations, about 3 big Heston bales/acre.
      Yes I like to see the viners to.

    • @JDautopower
      @JDautopower  2 місяці тому

      Yes we are very pleased with it considering the season. On sand our Barley has done just under 2.5t/acre. Not bad for the land though.

    That's a good yield for this year, what variety is it? Think the hybrid variety's are doing well. Best going steady so you dont chuck it out the back end
