I had a friend north east of Grand Island I had 7700 John Deere it was good for soy beans still, but it was wore out for corn. So he and his cousin rented an 8820 each year to harvester corn. It cost him about $8000 to rent the combine. Cheaper than buying a new one.
Good call from your Dad changing the bearing, and hearing them to begin with. The down time cost nothing this time, but had you been shelling for a farmer, the down time would have cost more than the parts.
Check out Iver’s farm videos They have an air line that runs down to the feeder house, every once in a while from inside the cab turns a valve and blows off all the chaff.
Great video of the corn harvesting that you had to wait a couple days to get started on. The situation with the fan bearing worked to be beneficial to you guys to not having to completely tear it down. Ole Dibs has it made riding along and such a good dog. Watching him getting in and out of the combine is PRICELESS! Thanks again Hayden for another great video to share with us along with your time and effort! Cheers from Laurel, Delaware USA.
You keep saying "picked" referring to your combine harvesting corn.. The proper terminology is "shelled." as in shelling corn. "Picking corn" is what everyone did decades before you were born. As in whole ears being picked and thrown into a hopper wagon. My Dad is rolling over in his grave- because picking is different from shelling!
Who's that raven haired woman with those Dale Earnhardt glasses? LOL. Corn is messy/dusty. But I still enjoy watching the harvest of different crops. If memory serves me right, last year was your first year doing beans? I remember that you purposefully didn't follow the rows but cut across them during bean harvest. Definitely can do that with corn. Dibs with Tess in the kitchen?
You guys are certainly having a frustrating harvest season, your father always seems to take the set backs in his stride, I hope I'm not stepping over the mark but I can never get over how young your mother looks, way too young to have a son your age, hope that's not being rude

We got done with corn on Tuesday. We live in Western Nebraska
Good call on fan bearing. Had one go on a 690 and took out the fan
Check out Ivers Farms on the corn combine boss builds a on board throat blower with a click of a switch. It does really well at blowing it clean!
Hi Hayden, thank you for the great video and the ride along. I hope they have a bumper corn crop over there in Nebraska ♥️♥️ - Hope
The video was awesome I just finished watching it and as always you all be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Amazinv video. thank you guys
Great video Hayden
This is interesting for me...guess I missed your corn harvesting last year, I'll have to go back and check!
My first choice of crops to combine would be corn. The bin fills faster!😊
I am watching from Lincoln, NE
Well done lad.
It harvests faster than my kids clean their rooms, that’s for sure
Where are you in Nebraska? Are you close to Grand Island?

Most of the farmers I watch would rather shell corn
Have fun guys be safe out there your buddy from Nebraska

Are you guys gonna harvest beans again
The best dad signals are the ones when you can’t see his hand behind the header or you can’t see him but he thinks he’s in full view
I know that hand signal. It means get it right or I'll come up there and show you what it means.. lol
Pretty much lol
Great to see Mom again. Nice call on fan bearings.better than a fire in the field. Be safe out there
where are you all at now
Getting combines loaded to go home
So excited for the fall corn videos!!!
Thanks for the update
