Just bought the 10-42 model. I don’t know a lot about binoculars , and at first was going to buy most powerful. 12-52, but i learned most powerful not always best choice. These seem middle of road. Thanks.
There are a few good options. If you have a milling reticle, you can adjust your turrets a certain amount and then aim your reticle the same amount in the opposite direction. Keep making adjustments, shooting each time you do. You should end up with one small group in the center of your target. You can also draw or print a chart with known measurements, then vise down the scope and check its accuracy as you turn the turrets.
A fantastic binocular, ruined (for me) by the very shallow 15mm eye relief. I don’t wear glasses, and it gave me terrible blackouts. This is an unusually shallow ER for a 8x42. I had to return mine.
The ER on the 8x42 pair you speak of is 18mm not 15mm. 18mm is one of the most ER of the 10x42 pairs on the market. I have had bushnell and Ziess and Swarvorski and Steiner and Zen Ray and honestly the Bushnell Legened Ultra Hds and these new Engage I have are as nice if not nicer then my 2000.00 pairs. I compared them side by side in low light at dusk/dawn and compared edge fringing everything! So for 1800.00 less then the Swaros and Zeiss I choose the Bushnells . Hard to imagine but They are that good. Most people dont get a chance to compare them side by side like I have. But sorry they didnt meet your expectations. Just like boots everyone has different opinions I guess.
@ Nickolai Skeikov: If you set the eye cups at the correct height, blackouts will not occur. PS: Great review TSR !!! Very informative and professional.
It's too dangerous to eat them; they carry bubonic plague. We kill 'em for fun and to maintain healthy numbers. The Plague breaks out when they become too concentrated.
Good review. Bushnell needs to hire you.
Great review. Exactly the kind of video I was looking for with these binoculars. Thank you.

Thanks for the budget friendly reviews.
You're welcome! It's easy for me since I'm on a tight budget, too.
what is a good way to do a turret test to see if your turrets is doing what your data sheet says your bullet should do thank Bruce Erie,pa

You're welcome! I use these binoculars all the time, and I'm still impressed.
Thnx for the review, this has ed glass?
I just checked. Mine are the EDX model, so it does have ED glass. Beautiful image. I just used these successfully on my Missouri whitetail hunt.
Is that the DX or EDX model? Its over 100$ difference and wondering if its worth the cost difference?
Yeah, this was the first production run.

*Bushnell Engage EDX Binocular Better*
This original version had the ED Prime glass. Later they split the model into various quality levels, including the EDX.

Prairie dog hunting? Do you eat them or just enjoy killing?

The Engage scopes are GARBAGE and totally unusable for hunting in low light or against any dar background.
Can't disagree more- I have an engage on my 7mm and it works great at first light and last light.
