3001 Buxton shuttles - Newly restored steam locomotive!

On Sunday the 5th of March, I was visiting the NSW Rail museum prior to the Thirlmere steam festival to see the newly restored C30 class leader, 3001. This year 3001 is 120 years old and has recently been restored to working condition after it’s absence from heritage passenger services in 1996. On the 4th of March 2023, 3001 was officially relaunched working a passenger service to Buxton. 3001 will be hauling the museum’s Buxton shuttle for awhile, and will appear in the Thirlmere steam festival for presumably years to come!
