Excellent video, I admire the dedication, driving all the way out to Bairnsdale and back in the one day. I especially loved the departure out of Hernes Oak, great footage of R761 working hard to get the train moving again.
Awesome video! The indigenous HCMT was a pretty lucky catch, the transfer train looks pretty cool, seeing an R Class pulling just those 4 wagons is certainly strange!
Fantastic video as always mate! Loved the consist arrangement for the day trip, with R711 leading the VR Blue and gold and R761 leading the E's in pass red, while having them neatly split. Really tickled the OCD side of me 😂
Thoroughly enjoyed an excellent quality video, great to see those beautiful Locomotives at Speed through magnificent Victorian Countryside. Cheers Puf’n-Pete 4612!
If trips to Bairnsdale are to be a feature of the future The installation of a """ Y """ turntable should be considered Also river trips down to the Gippsland Lakes could be arranged ( same goes for SALE ) just a couple of ideas to make STEAMRAIL operations more profitable Same goes for trips to Warnambool too😊😊
With turntables Swan Hill, Echuca, Wycheproof reinstated its turntable. Functional? Yarrawonga, Warnambool Push pull destructions Tocumwal, Albury, Bairnsdale, Stony Point, Serviceton, Robinvale - if the line is ever fixed again. Mildura is a multi day experience.
This heritage trains should be running every day all over Victoria, bringing back memories and the good all days. I will more than happy to raide on them.
Outstanding coverage of one of the best trips this year!

Imagine the petrol price!

The Hearnes Oak departure and city viaduct lovely footage and sound.

It looks like a goods train from the 1950s
