Caffeine makes your stomach produce more acid, you don't just get an ulcer out of nowhere though, you can tell when the stomach lining starts to break because it gets harder to keep food down. Tums only makes you feel better and doesn't actually help, I don't know a lot about Pepto-Bismol and I heard a lot of conflicting stuff so I use it rarely but it seems effective, there's also Pepcid which is more of a medicine.
