    They need to make the toe boxes wider so that it doesn’t damage your toes after wearing heels for years and more padding in the foot bed and heel area , one siz e does not fit all

    Why not just trim the tip? I’m seriously asking and would like to know?

    • @Andre1CustomShoes
      @Andre1CustomShoes  Рік тому +2

      Hello and thank you for watching. If you were to trim off from the tip, the heel will cave in and it won’t be vertical anymore which is dangerous. You can twist or even break your ankle. If you notice in the video we start off with a Tall straight heel and at the end we have a short straight heel. That was the point. 🙏

    It would be nice to have sound and explanations. I wouldn’t try this but I would like to be able to show my local shoe cobbler who says it cannot be done without affecting the heel to toe ratio affecting the walk.

      Hello
      It’s not hard to do but you just have to know the anatomy of shoes. A lot of shoe repair shops don’t attempt stuff like this because they never made a shoe from scratch. Just show him my videos and he can follow. I average about 10 pairs of heel shortening a month.
      I’m not that good at editing videos, but I do plan to hire a video editor once I get 100 Subscribers. So if you can share videos and let people know that would be great 👍.
      Thanks 🙏

      The shorter heel DID throw the balance (aka toe spring)of the shoe off. Notice how the toe sat flush to table before and is point up in the air afterwards.. I bet they are less comfortable to walk in ... the guy is very talented, but just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should, and those beautiful shoes were designed to have 4 1/2 “ heels...

    I just received a pair today for which I would like the heel shortened one inch....really cute stilettos. If I were only walking on carpet everywhere, then they'd be okay; but, walking on slippery wood, acrylic or linoleum is problematic. I was going to send them back; but, I'd rather try to have the heel shortened. If not, I'll just wear them only wear there's carpeting.

      Hello Tricia
      We can definitely shorten the heels. We charge $400 for the process. And takes 2-3 months to do. Thanks

      Hello, no problem, it normally takes 4-6 weeks to complete this process fully and costs about $300-$400 per pair to do. If you would like the process done please look in the "About" section on our channel for our address. Thank you!

    What's the point? - Why not just buy a pair of shes with a lower heel? - Some people have more money than brains.

    • @ish1918
      @ish1918 3 роки тому +14

      Maybe the owner really love these particular pair of shoes but they are not available in the height the owner feels comfortable walking in? Maybe it was a gift with sentimental value and the owner would like to be able to proudly show them off in comfort? Maybe the owner is really tall and doesn't want the added height? There are many rational reasons for getting this done. Don't generalise and put people in boxes and it's not like they are spending your money to do this.

      @@ish1918 I'm looking at reducing my heels because at one time I was able to walk in 5 in and higher now that I'm older I still like the style of the boot I just no longer can wear heels that high so I would like to maintain the boot and just lower the heel

    Why ruin such a beautiful pair of shoes? Makes me sad. :( They just don't have the balance and form they were designed to have. Sell them and get some designed to have 3.5 inch heels.

      They actually are balanced once worn. Your body weight equals out the rise in the toe. This is a clients request. We Average about 30 pairs of cutdown’s a year for her. ✌️

    I have noticed that womens high heeled shoes don't have the same eye appeal they used to. It appears to me that they, "the powers that be" whoever they are have redesigned womens high heeled shoes with the heel all the way towards the back of the shoe and that the heel has lost that little curve to it, which to my eyes is what made the shoe more eye appealing and it allowed the ball of the womens foot to be located directly under the actual weight of her/the body of the wearer. This may sound absurd but a Psychologist in practice that I know personally said he is aware of this new fashion design and said they moved the womens high heel all the way to back or rear of the shoe in order to try and make high heel shoes as uncomfortable as possible to make the trend of high heeled womens shoes to "GO-AWAY". I HAVE NOTICED THAT WITH THE HEEL STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN ALL THE WAY TO THE REAR that women don't walk as smoothly as they did with the curved inward heel and again it just looks better to have the femine curve to it, after all it's the curves of a women that is what is eye appealing. Next time you are out take note....the straight and at the obsolute rear of the high heeled style shoe wearing women look like are being throwed forward where as the curved inward heel wearer looks and walks like she is in control without losing her balance.

    He letter out a few important steps. Mainly, he didn't demonstrate how he took an inch off. Next, he didn't show us how he removed the cover from around the heel. Finally, he did the most! He could've just remove the tip from the shoe. Then, cut the shoe down to your desired height, leaving the metal insert sticking out. then use a soldering iron to heat the rod so you can take some grip pliers to twist out the metal rod. Then, use dreamer to cut off the small metal tube. Finally, use a hammer to drive the small metal tube back into the heel; then reinstall the tip back into the metal tube.
