Thank you for this video. Showing the measurements for the 2 sizes of the shafts is very helpful. Other tutorials neglect to mention this and so I mistakenly tried to force the thicker version and of course it didn't work.
:) I asked the owner if she wanted me to sand the tips to shape them the same as the heel and she indicated it was not worth the effort. A little communication goes a long way ;)
Hi I tried to repair my heel tip DIY but I messed up pulling the metal pins on the heels. They broke! Now it’s stuck inside my heel tip. Do you have hacks how to pull everything out?
Hello, did the rubber piece broke and part of the metal shaft is still sticking out, or did the metal shaft break and now there is no part of it accessible? The first happens all the time, just have to pull with pliers, the second sounds like a bit of a nightmare... Only thing I can think of is to get a very narrow drill bit and drill it out.
@@javiershobbies thank you 🙏🏻 it’s pretty hard to pull it out. I even tried a nipper to do it. Anyway, I might have to bring it to the shoe repair shop and have it done professionally. I enjoy your contents though.
Hello, if some of the metal shaft is still sticking out you may want to try pressure pliers. that makes it easier to pull out. Try twisting as you pull it out too.
@@javiershobbies there’s a teeny tiny bit of the metal shaft sticking out. I felt that if I have something as thin as the nipper but more durable, It might come off. I’ll give another shot. Thanks for not giving up on me. Those shoes is my favorite pair.
