One thing I miss is you can't tag your or the enemy traps. Enemy mines are very hard to spot, even after you defuse them the small flag is still there.
Haven't had a chance to check this yet but if I were to add something, it would be dismemberment. May sound crazy but it just helps sell the power of explosions an stuff to me. I think that's one thing Cyberpunk does well
Yes, absolutely we need more realistic body damage. If you step on a mine you lose a foot, leg, or arm. Same goes for bullet wounds. Plus after a guy is killed his body should have the same damage. If you zoom in you should see a blown up ravaged human body. Realism is what we expect and want in our games todag.

We need a serious Sniper Elite game that has a open world and has realistic physics, a better damage model for the kills, allow the AI to actually surive some wounds but just beslowed down, and we need it to be like FarCry or GTA world wise and vehicle wise. I know its alot but that would be amazing.
2:14 - "General movement feels the smoothest the series has ever had!" (In an awe-struck voice.) - Dude, have you really played the games? The movement mechanics of SE4 are noticeably smoother and more stable.
The maps need to be more open world like AC style, I often see an area that would be great to snipe from but invisable barries prevent it from being reached. I would like to see the environment more destructable too. Imagine if they could allow mods for this game, so new maps or times in history could be created. They also need to have the time of day changing and weather conditions too.
This is less about making Sniper Elite 5 better and more about where the series should go next so I'll talk about the same sort of stuff. I'd like to see more distinct mission locations. This would probably mean making the game areas smaller again but I'd like them to be more distinct locations with more varied objectives and more of a plot flow to them. The current design whilst giving "infinite" player choice limits the choices the developer can make at the same time since a player may or may encounter something completely removes their ability to place the player in specific scenarios since each time they want to do that they have to create a huge map with lots of "copy paste but try not to" locations. The area should still be large enough that one can take any approach but only just so. So for instance maybe one starts out as a normal soldier and comes across a dead sniper and proceeds from there earning your chops as a sniper on a "normal" battlefield. Next mission you get sent in as a sniper to assist allied troops pushing on various objectives (Think Warriors game but without the comical plowing over of cannon fodder enemies). Your performance here leads to a special ops division becoming interested in you and you get dropped behind enemy lines for various missions. Perhaps the first mission has you tasked with identifying and taking out the officers at a training camp. Maybe one has you either take out or delay a train. Sabotage a tank factory. Allied command has heard of prisoners of war wanting to stage an escape/revolt at a prison camp and you are sent in to assist them. Eventually maybe you are tasked with finding out who is responsible for the V2 rocket program and taking them out. And finally you get your usual shot at Hitler. The idea is each area has less open area with nothing in it beyond random encampments and more of a puzzle showpiece for you to concentrate on with each taking place in a visually distinct location rather than everything being set in Africa or Italy or the French countryside but rather each location offering such a puzzle, so basically make it even closer to being Hitman with a sniper rifle.
For me I'd like auto picking up ammo ans items then targeting bodies to pick up and carry seems a lot harder than it was in Sniper Elite 4, the only other Sniper Elite game I've played. Very minor issues for me. Part five overall for me has been an A+ game after the first three levels
It's not a bad game you just gotta get creative wherever the developers didn't. I would like to play as a Nazi, drive, fly, have civilians like previously stated, and have more guns. More freedom of attachments would be cool as long as it stays realistic
I think 5 is a backwards step in terms of mechanisms and general feel of being a a sniper in hostile land. It feels clunky in trying to move, or the auto pressing against walls not needed, or going from sprinting to crouch, with the bizarre mechanic of the spotter scope on the same button as the sense mechanic, so it just kept going into spotter scope at wrong times. The game is poor
man, sniper elite 5 is locked at 30fps on ps5 which was really dissapointing, and the game itself plays like a big step down from sniper elite 4. i think 4 was 10 times better
What the actual fuck is the point in ballistics when there is literally a 2nd crosshair telling you exactly where your shot will hit? Completely defeats the purpose

In SNE4 the guns system encouraged you to replay levels to level up your guns, each gun had separate challenges. Also the challenges in SNE5 are limited. It is a shame as i paid £80 for this game and for me it has been a real let down. It is not rubbish, but not as good as the previous game.
Excellent comments...Came in on 5 and now realize why 4 is so expensive. Forget driving vehicles. Too time consuming to develop and implement... How about friendly targets? ... Where are the massive civilians surprised by your invasion? Seriously...With this game, and most fps's. This element sticks out like a sore thumb. Make Civilian targets. Hit one you lose points OR ammo...Say 1 in 20 is a super uber (no glint)?
@@djcjr1x1 I do like the weapon mod function, but the base line stats of many of the weapons are absolute bullshit. One prime example is that the Mk VI (Webley) Revolver has over TWICE the Hit Points of the 1911, when in reality the 1911 has over 30% higher muzzle velocity. Just as bad or worse, they give the Welrod, which is a puny .32 ACP, 10% more Hit Points than the 1911. The whole mess gets worse when you compare the game’s stats of handguns against rifles, they give the Webley more HP than either the G43 or the M1903. Just mind numbingly stupid.
@kentfletcher8539 Haven't played it in awhile but I remember thinking the stats were way off for pistols. You're right I just watched a MK VI 455 vid and they made 1911s in that caliber and they were actually weaker than 45acp. 🤔Something that always bugs me is Luger's have magnum like firepower in most games especially end game versions you earn, c'mon it's reg 9x19 like millions of other guns.🙄

Being funneled around the map by obstacles is the worst of the immersion breakers. Learn from Red Dead Redemption 2 my developer friends.

I agree with the fact that it would be nice to drive the jeeps, motorcycles and also the tanks, it is a big map indeed.
Driving, boats, planes, tanks should all be possiable
They should bring back the tripwires also being able to shoot grenades on them and blow them up was fun

I suggest playing at Authentic mode and with sharpshooter at medium difficulty. Best experience ever!

SNE5 levels are too gated 👎🏼 Also the weapon bench upgrades have limited the re play value.
I agree on the gating, probably from invasion mode. But how does the bench upgrades limit replay?

It is so easy that I have lost interest. Not nearly enough enemies. Not hard even in the least. Authentic mode is SE5 is a J..O..K..E is it SOOO easy.

I didn't play on authentic but I think level design, weapon modification, placement and usability did it for me.
