- In the premiere episode of Lowrider Roll Models, we feature the inspirational story of Steve Alvarez-Mott--a longtime original member of the Groupe Car Club East L.A. Steve recalls the early days of the lowrider lifestyle and his first car, a 1966 Pontiac Tempest. Ultimately, the camaraderie and culture would have a transformative impact on Steve and help lead him to find his true calling in life. Steve is a genuine Roll Model in the Lowrider community.

Its amazing how good and underviewed this video is, while a guy putting mentos on a Coke gets millions. Very inspiring, especially when Im about to buy a 58 impala.
Even though covid is horrible I'm kinda glad quarantine came around cause I would of never been able to hear this great story and see this BEAUTIFUL 58 IMPALA!! 💯 Such a badass car! Im in love 😍
I may not understand the lowrider concept, but that is one clean looking Impala. I love the lines of those 50s cars.
This is a great example of what success is like along the pursuit of hobbies or passion.
glad motor trend is starting to run these stories, lowriding gets left in the dark in the car industry, hopefully these videos will shed new light into what lowriding is and what it takes to be a lowrider.
Even if this segment goes unnoticed, to the few that did notice it like me it's some inspiring stuff. Low rider rollmodels, that's some shit that I can get behind!

This is very inspiring and motivating. A lot of people think that just because you're educating yourself you have to remove yourself from what make you an individual and conform to the norm because, like he said, you're a professional now. Do what you love and what makes you happy.
Legit, Shell is doing GREAT things. I never thought I would say this about an "energy" company but they really are focused on making the world a better place. This video series is one small example.
Not a fan of low riders or their style, but I appreciate all the time and effort that went into this creation.
I share the same opinion........not for me either, but the car is really beautiful, and his life choice in career & accomplishment is equally impressive.

Truly inspiring.Never judge a book by it's cover.Society gave lowriding a bad rap by saying " they're ignorant trouble makers & gangsters". Not true at all, get to know someone before you judge someone.You'll soon discover that there's more to them than meets the eye.

I remember when there was this great UA-cam channel that fantastic free content like week long Ultimate Adventure installments and amazing Roadkill episodes that were actually relevant, and inspiring to an average car guy who could do some of the same fun things. Now we get this..... No wonder Finnegan moved away and started his own channel.
