Could you guys please do a video for a open root groove test with a 30° bevel and 1/8 inch gap using 7018 1/8 throughout for 2g, 3g, and 4g using stringers only and a 3 bead cap? I really need to learn this
my filler always gets stuck and then i pull on it and it comes unstuck but ends up flopping around and it takes forever for me to get it close to the puddle again. so fuck it, i will work structural

JDaniel Cornu personally 1/8 2% lanthenated tungsten is great for most types of steels from 1/16” to 1” because it has great yield and does not ball up on you as often

The inspector told me that my root was unsatisfactory due to being flush on the backside and not being able to see a weave pattern. Is it even possible to have a weave pattern on a open tig root?
