Peter, your drawings are amazing and show how objects truly look through a telescope ( or binoscope in your case). Fantastic work!

I've seen some of your videos and I didn't even realize those were illustrations! Oh, my, that's truly a lovely work, like those of Leopold Trouvelot. I got my 10" dob, and I want to start sketching as well, opefully it will be a nice experience.
Qui sugli appennine sta giungendo l'autunno ed è bellissimo!

Sketching is a wonderful way to enhance your observing experience because it compels you to focus, to let the telescope image communicate with you and to discover all of its secrets. It's something that requires patience, however, and one of the reasons I stopped was that it became too time consuming. But, if you like, on my channel you'll find an entire tutorial about astronomical sketching and I hope you'll find it useful. Divertiti! 😊

@@astronomydrawings Sure, probably I will start with planets, are a bit easiere and less time consuming.

@@hs_illustrator8832 Don't bet on it. Planets can be tricky... 😆
