I've been to the Museum many times and Kennedy's plane was my favorite. Broke my heart when he passed. I was 9 and it seems like yesterday. Great vlogging! Thank you
I used to go here all the time when I was little. It’s an amazing place! So much history, the presidential planes are so cool to see. They even have Roosevelt’s wheelchair. At least it was there when I last went 6 years ago. I definitely recommend going! It’s so worth it
Nice garden update Kat. It’s nice to see the old school fence tester that tough enough to touch it instead of using a gadget. Take care and have a blessed rest of the week my friend.
Hello Daze with Jordan the Lion! Thanks for the great walking tour! Soo many additions and changes since your last visit. We hope you can return again soon!
Very cool I've always wanted to visit that plane and see the spots where kennedys casket was carried in and Johnson was sworn into office . The JFK assasination still fascinating and complex to this day
I totally agree with you Adam. Btw I watched one of your vlogs on Spawn Ranch and I must say your a comedian in a good way. I really enjoyed the adventure thank you
I always thought it was pretty cold-blooded and callous that Johnson wanted to be sworn in before he even left Texas on the ground I don't think that was probably procedure especially after the events that happened already
Loved the small piece here on Bob Hope.. He was a down to earth celebrity..very friendly. My daughter was a classmate of one of Hope's Security Chiefs in charge of his security details years ago. One day the two young girls were sitting in the kitchen of Hope's Toluca Lake home when Hope and some of his staff came in and they said he came over and sat down and talked with them for a few. They said he was so nice and laughed a lot and told them jokes.
Wonderful. Enjoyed seeing all the planes but of course The images of what took place on the plane returning JFK to Washington are sealed in my brain. It was good to have a sense of being inside the plane. Also appreciated the tribute to Bob Hope. He sure did a lot to help our troops. Belinda Davis
This museum is the favorite one I have ever been to. I could have spent a week there going through each of the buildings and exploring all the artifacts and displays.
So awesome Jordan thank you! Loved the Kennedy era. I was five years old when he was killed. My dad was at work on the railroad and my mom was at home with us. My twin sister and I were watching cartoons on our floor console black and white Zenith t.v. When Walter Cronkite interrupted the programming and came on the t.v. and said "the flash apparently official John F. Kennedy..." My mom grabbed our baby sister and ran to our neighbours to tell them of the shooting, leaving us in front of the t.v. to wonder what happened. That memory will be itched in my mind for as long as I live. Long live Camelot!
I was born at WPAFB, in 1956. In early 60s we were stationed at Clark AFB in the Philiippines. Bob Hope did a show and we went. I would guess it was a stop after or before he went to Vietnam. I was 7 yrs old.
Well that was fun to see again! It has been many, many years since I have been to the museum and I have no double many more things have been added since then! If you go again you will get to see the Memphis Belle that was added a few months ago! I would like to see the WWII since my Dad was a Marine in the Korean War. Great vlog!
This Air Force Brat thoroughly enjoyed your tour through this museum, as I never got to see it previously, so thank you so much 😊. My dad flew the big plane that you walked through in the first vlog. He took us kids up into the cockpit. When he retired in ‘65, he was offered to fly Air Force One, but chose to go to Laos to fly for Air AMERICA instead. I never really thought about it, but that would have been the very plane that Kennedy’s body was flown on !! It’s great to have seen inside it, along with you 😲🥰
I saw Air Force One on the ground at the Airport in Palm Springs 🌴, California. Wow was it HUGE! And the security was unreal! Seeing the plane that brought Kennedy's body back to Washington DC was incredible! Thanks for sharing Jordan!
Hi Jordan, My brother was in the Army, in Vietnam. He got to see Bob Hope, Raquel Welch and Tina Turner at one of Bob Hope's USO shows. He also got to see Robert Mitchem...he went to see the guys in their barracks. He sent home all kinds of pictures.
Another GREAT vlog today Jordan! I'v always been fascinated by AIR FORCE ONE and so appreciated your taking us on the tour. Fascinating! Cheers buddy from Sacramento!
Love the video man just went here today took a detour on my way home back to New York from Florida it really was only a 3-hour detour but well worth it first time ever here I could have spent 12 hours in that place
Thank you for the tour. I would love to go there but I am very claustrophobic and I doubt if I could take the small walk through areas. This way, I get to see it without feeling claustrophobic.
In 1992 I was on temporary duty to Wright-Patterson AFB and got to tour Columbine III and SAM 26000 before the plexiglas partitions were put up. The smell of leather, cigarettes, and cigars was still present.
If you go back to the Air Force Museum, please contact me. There are several aircraft on display (Mig-21 Fishbed C, Mig-23 Flogger E, and F-4C Phantom II) that I worked on over the years when I was in the USAF.
That entire museum is such a fascinating place, it was a 'bucket list' item for us when we went in 2011 on our way to a wedding, but I'd highly suggest/recommend checking it out & plan on spending the entire day, if not two. Yes, the Presidential planes section was my favorite ;) I have heard though that they put up a new building since 2011, so clearly they have a new display layout for this section, the planes themselves are truly impressive, I'd make the trip to go through them again in a heartbeat. In the book 'Death of a President', there is a diagram of the way the plane was laid out during Kennedy's administration. I printed a copy of it so I could get a 'comparison' picture of the diagram under the one they currently have of the way it is now to show how it had been changed. I wish UA-cam would allow photos in the comments so I could post them.
Our neighbour's son fly in Korea, then the Berlin airlift then for Presidents Kennedy & Johnson. High profile missions. He died young in a car crash 2 blocks from home. huggs, silky
Fantastic place ! Dayton, Ohio Wright Patterson Air Base ... The Kennedy 707 is the crown jewel there.... awesome to see up close and go aboard ! to me this jet is history ...... the other Presidential prop planes are also very nice ... they were the state of the art before the Sam 2600 707 ... I want to go back to see this wonderful collection of aircraft .... God Bless USA !!
They sell the Kennedy Matches that were on the plane. I personally think they're replica matchbooks because the price is so low and the gift shop seems to have so many of them. I still have to get more info on them. Nice place. The entry fee is reasonable huh? :)
brian versansky dude that is not a replica and you wanna know how I know it is not. I know because my friends grandpa works at wright-Patterson AFB and was the one overseeing the construction of that hanger. So we with Boy Scouts got to see it before it was loaded into the hanger and right after.
Now I live in Dayton and I have been there many times. I have been there so many times that I know that there are exactly 41 telephones in JFK’s plane and they were most all for the press.
All the planes were cool,i remember the day of the Kennedy assassin ination.i was 6 yrs old over in first grade in Youngstown Ohio.i recall the principal making the announcement over the speaker, his voice cracking.i knew right there it was a big deal as i never seen that many adults cry.
thank you so much !!!! This was amazing so much history in one place. I especially enjoyed the JFK plane. It was on my bucket list and thanks to you I got to see it !!!
Awesome video! Just FYI, "The Rock" on the c-130 identifies the aircraft as being originally assigned to the 314th Airlift Wing located at Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Just thought you might like to know :)

Sure he did. My grandfather once went to the moon
He really did
@@josephcaldwell7105 I was just messing with you bud. That place looks great
Ive visited several times--so much to see and I look forward to going back :)
It would take you hours of footage to see and shoe everything there, never gets old.

Loved this, Jordan! I saw the eternal flame at JFKs burial site. It was amazing yet sad 😢

You should go to the US Army Infantry Museum. I guess it's still at Fort Benning GA. My Alma Mater.

Very cool vlog...thank you!
I live near there! Go there all the time! If you come back you should definitely let me know! I can give some facts about most of the wwii planes
I think if you have the time and haven't been there you should go to Jesse James house in St Joesph Mo and the James farm in Missouri.
Beautiful inside
I think in that museum, there is one of the four remaining planes from Yugoslavia B-24J-10-C0 42-73085......WW2
Most excellent vlog. So much history, especially the JFK plane. Thanks for sharing your travels with us.

It's one thing to read history, quite another to actually see it.
I agree completely!
In the future the the 747's (VC-25's) will be in museums as the 747-8i will replace them.
