- Being a completionist, I wanted to cover my opinions on every mount grind in the game & try and give a path of "efficiency" towards getting 500 mounts. This is still hundred upon hundreds of hours of grinding, but hopefully this guide points you away from inefficient and unenjoyable grinds in everyones journey to 500.

I started playing well into Legion, and got hooked on collecting mounts when I was farming Dragon Soul for transmog, and did not even know what the Blazing Drake was until I read the details. Sole reason why I have over 10 max level alts every year. There is an unexplainable "rush" you feel when you loot something, and a mount you were trying for is in the window.

I finished my 500 on 8/14/2023! A lot of the new Dragonflight mounts added past this video's release are easy - particularly the time rifts / new vendor mounts.
Another addon I'd recommend is Saved Instances - it tracks all of your instance kills across all characters so that it is much easier to tell what you've done on each character each week.
As for extra info, profession mounts are usually just gold. Some are very efficient, some cost 100k+, but they all count towards collection.
Pvp is pvp, but there is actually a lot of mounts to get from it if you're grinding. The mark of honor mounts are all very easy.
There are two raid skips that save a lot of time - One in Firelands, one in ICC. Firelands can be done on any character, you go straight to bird boss and do not instantly kill it. Pick up three feathers and then kill it (Do not loot her, it is sent to your mailbox) & then you fly straight to Rag from the feathers.
ICC is the other skip that can be done on DH/Evoker & you skip all of the dragon healing wing and fly straight to last boss. Saves ~5 min each run, look up a guide for that one because it is much harder to explain.

tip for the service medals: start your own group for warmode and mention in the tradechat. A lot of people are still after the sets and weapons from there.
It's a lot easier on Alliance side if you happen to be on RP server

Great video, do you know how to make silverdragon track only the things that drop mounts and not every rare ?
It is tedious to remove them, but you can do it - You would just do /silverdragon ingame and remove ones that don't have a mount from each xpac. As far as I know there is no way to just have mount rares show up sadly
as someone who is a completionist like you and having started playing late like you(started in WOD, stopped in BFA), i really recommend you drop world of warcraft, i put a lot of time into the game and the game is just not worth your time( for reference i had around 360 mounts mid-bfa, before the like 140 mounts were introduced in shadowlands) the main reason i'm telling you this is FOMO, this game ABUSES you with FOMO, good luck man. if you want an actual good MMO to be a completionist on OSRS is really good and has basically no FOMO with horizontal gear progression
