Genie High were releasing material and playing live immediately before tricot started to promote the Jodeki (上出来) album. Genie High are a super group of sorts with music that's a bit more mainstream but still interesting as they have a jazzy vibe. Due to the combined popularity of the bands members, they're a much bigger act than tricot. That's Ikkyu's dog in the video - also appears on the Jodeki album cover and probably provides a 'vocal' part on the title track. You're right about Dogs and Ducks too - 'wan-wan' is the Japanese equivalent of 'woof-woof' in English. If you want to see more evidence of that, I'd recommend ZOKINGDOG by AiNA THE END (アイナ・ジ・エンド). To bring things full circle, Ikkyu and AiNA duet on the Genie High track 不便な可愛げ (translates to something like Inconveniently Cute).
