Did anyone think it interesting that Willie leaned forward in his chair and was leaning into the talk with Dave? He is an interesting guy.
(I think his hearing is a little low, and he needs to really be close and look at a face to get the full meaning of a conversation. or not.)
"Bobbie Nelson, playing piano, did not release a solo album of her own until 2008, shortly before she turned 77." She passed last March at the age of 91. Willie is 51 here at this appearance. "Bobbie's got the best story in our whole family. ... Without my sister, I'd never be where I am today. I've always needed her."

Willie and Dave both seemed really into it. Wonderful conversation - -wouldn't have happened later in the show's run; Dave would have cut the answers short and try to make more jokes.Not complaining here - -I watched them all.

I wish I could find the amazing performance of Willie and the Late Night band performing Nightlife. It was truly a magical moment. I'm not sure the year but I believe it was around 2013+/-. The performance is so good and Dave's reaction is so genuine. Please upload!
My grandmother loved Willie Nelson. I didn't appreciate him when she was alive, but I do now. Listening to him makes me feel close to her and makes me wish I had appreciated him when I could have enjoyed his music with her.
