Wish I watched this and listened before learning wheelies. I looped last weekend chasing wheelies fast without the foot brake. Can’t wait to make a comeback and get back brake. Ty for what you doin 🙏
Ahhh man happens to the best of us💯 hope you make a speedy recovery and get back to it! I got a better tutorial on my tiktok lol dunno why I made it for there was quick spontaneous one but check that out same username 👊
@@gringomotovlogs one day my channel will catch up! I’m still chasing that wheelie, but now I know the secrets. Keep putting out the killer vids! Cheers from the states. 🇺🇸💪🏼
oi man everything you say is truth as and logical.its the same way as my brain works too.................but faaark now ive found balance point i love being past it but scares me hard .....but i want more.........I THINK I HAVE A DISEASE!cheers from australia bro.
I can chase my wheelies out rn and I'm looking to try to drop back to balance point. In the beginning I would just clutch up first and slam the foot brake and because of that now when I get a bite scared of the height automatically I have pressed the footbrake now which is helping me build trust.
As soon as you clutch up, apply brake pressure, there is no panic reaction it’s just press the brake more So clutch up, drag the brake as you slowly roll on more throttle and push height bit by bit, You will get to the point where you are maintaining speed with maintenance throttle at the beginning of balance point To make you feel more comfortable, you don’t need footbrake on at this point as you haven’t dropped back, but with what I am telling you, you will already be on footbrake dragging slightly, applying a bit more throttle and looking for more height and then more pressure on the brake to come down Your brain will figure the rest out though reps 👊
Stand up on pegs is same just make sure your not pulling on the bars keep upper body relaxed, stand up on seat is something I got no interest in learning haha
haha next seaon i hope to have a 2 stroke aswell, but if i was to try i would aproach it a similar way, stay out the power band, and just need to practice to where you clutch up and coaster maybe and get used to that so you can control the speed, back down, more throttle kinda thing, cause you obviously cant hold steady throttle like 4t
Good video mate thanks. With the engine braking do you need to use the back brake all the time or is the back brake just for when it gets right to balance point? Guessing when you come off the throttle it brings the front end down?
you need to be smooth on the throttle, very small inputs and smooth, to learn proper control you need to find balance point and control the height with the brake while the throttle near enough stays the same maybe very tiny inputs but the brake will bring you back down from past balance, then ease of pressure then your back again and add more pressure, but you will always be on the brake when learninig, i still stay on the brake when i learn new things like when i learned knee knockers, i only just started easing off dragging the brake recently in those, with one handers i am dragging as im learining just ride the brake and play with different brake pressure and keep a very smooth throttle
a small input makes a big difference because a small change in height makes a big difference around balance point if you let off throttle completely, the wheel will just come down as long as your smooth on throttle, and you keep your feet on the pegs you will stay safe, i cant coast on the throttle because you have to go so far back without brake pressure as the engine braking will bring you back down haha i am learning clucth coasters as you dont have to be as far back and also to unlock scrapes but just to paint the picture on how much the engine braking will bring the wheel down but its the same as cornering, you would never rely on engine braking to slow you down as its inconsistent, each gear act different at a different speed, you rely on the front brake to slow you down as this is consistent, same with wheelies, never rely on engine braking, always rely on footbrake
good vision, balance point is slightly lower so that might have a part of it, but definitely on my MT I was much better in knee knockers just because of the vision, sit downs you can't see anything, but il be back learning again soon been so long since I've been on a powerful bike the new 07 I just got is feeling like a rocket right now haha
@@gringomotovlogs 07 is nuts brother, ride safe thanks for your reply, im still learning to use the rear brake more and wheelie slower but knee knockers feels much safer and easier to balance i had several loops from sitting because i was dragging the rear brake while giving it throttle and my drum brake got so hot that just stopped working now i pop it higher so i can hit BP with low rpms and just tapping the brake instead of dragging it!!
@@bocorico yeh man need regular brakes when you are riding the brake or you will get fade and flip, and the only thing to be careful with kneeknockers is mouse trap because your not sat down so its easier to fly over the bars if you panic and slam brake, keep working man your get there

Oooooo I love the look of the rmz 🔥 yeh that’s it, if you already got pressure there you will always come back down and your foot will stay stuck on the pegs Just keep learning that footbrake, play with different brake pressure the higher you go and your brain will just figure it out
it definitly is but all the tips will still apply, focus footbrake, drag, stay relaxed, obviously the technique to the actual wheelie will jsut be different but the tips would still apply, shoe up, practice, footbrake, confidence and trust, stay relaxed, it would just be different with throttle inputs, and stay out of the power band is probably a good tip for 2t haha
i will get a 2 stroke hopefully next season and learn ahah, all the same tho, just clucth up, stay out power band, drag the brake, and its so important not to chase on the 2 stroke, just go up and back down, if the power band hits while your learning you will do a flip lol, the way i will learn will be to keep the revs as low as possible, so its important to be able to drop back slightly to slow the wheelie down or at least maintain speed, then as you build experience and skill you can learn to wheelie in the power band, pretty much: clutch up and drag brake and apply more pressure to come down, chip away at that till your bored and keep going more, dont try to continue the wheelie until you have learned to clutch up to balance point and control it with the footbrake, as you come down just roll on some more throttle to get back up, and obviously come off throttle when your up as rpms will build otherwise lol this is how i would approach it... i havnt watched any videos or anything but it seems like a smart way to me and a safe way

Thanks buddy i need some more help to rise up
keep it up
Perfect words for the video haha thanks man
My problem is when I get it up there I keep going to the left or right I can’t keep it up straight.(no diddy)
Stay centred on your bike, take air pressure out of the back wheel 🫡
we’re waiting for a 2 stroke wheelie

What about 125 2 strokes?
i will get a 2 stroke hopefully next season and learn ahah, all the same tho, just clucth up, stay out power band, drag the brake, and its so important not to chase on the 2 stroke, just go up and back down, if the power band hits while your learning you will do a flip lol, the way i will learn will be to keep the revs as low as possible, so its important to be able to drop back slightly to slow the wheelie down or at least maintain speed, then as you build experience and skill you can learn to wheelie in the power band,
pretty much: clutch up and drag brake and apply more pressure to come down, chip away at that till your bored and keep going more, dont try to continue the wheelie until you have learned to clutch up to balance point and control it with the footbrake, as you come down just roll on some more throttle to get back up, and obviously come off throttle when your up as rpms will build otherwise lol
