- Here is the safest and most controlled way of learning how to wheelie a motorcycle... as requested 👊 www.braplife.c... - join the community!
I am still a beginner with lots to learn but I have been asked a lot for a tutorial and to include a foot brake cam so I hope this helps 🔥
I am riding my crf450r supermoto in this video... I recommend buying a bike good for the job like a dirt bike or a grom.
Thanks for watching

This is (imo) the best learn to wheelie vid I've seen
thanks, I improved a lot since then was supposed to make a updated one but didn't get round to it 👊 glad this video helped tho
This guy would be a very good teacher.
thanks man
Was about to comment the same wish this guy would live next door i'd pay him to teach me , u made it very clear just perfect all the details. Very good from all the videos ive been watching u the best one. Would be nice to see the same on 4 stroke. 👊🏼😎 keep it up man liked n subed. 👊🏼👊🏼👌🏼
Just looped my bike haha didn't have the foot on the brake, atleast i felt the balance point a little bit, gonna focus on the rear brake from now on
Lol me too, still happens 💀 get back on the bike and get practicing nothing but the footbrake 💯👊 check the latest content if you need something different to watch and motivation for riding lol I’m in Brazil and these lot are crazy
A brilliant video. Reasonable and professional explanations presented. Rarely find someone as dedicated as you who can explain to us with so much feeling, what the steps are to learn a good Wheelie. Thank you very much for this wonderful material. Keep it up Brother.
thank you man i appreciate this! have a good week!
@@TARZANMotoVlogs Thank you the same !
Learned rear brake on my 636 after a few days of practice using the info in the video. Riding the rear brake while going up is what finally made it start to click, thanks for the video man, cheers 🫡
Mate, that is the best in-depth easy to follow interesting how to wheelie video I’ve seen.
I’m going to reset myself and follow this.
You are a great teacher!! 👍👍👍😊
Thank you man 👊 I made a better one on my tiktok randomly lol need to make a new one on here, be worth checking out tho it’s pinned on my tiktok and same username
dude, i’m literally watching this after my 8th week after looping out and fracturing two vertebrae’s in my back. literally so many pinpoints that you stated that i never thought of when i was learning. hands down to you my guy 🤝
Ahhh man hopefully you get healed up soon and back to it 👊 I’m glad you took something from this video, I have a newer video with a good tip in it when I’m on my MT07
I’ve watched so many wheelie tutorials lately and I think this is the one that is going to help me make it click. Thanks man!
No problem! If I was to add something it would be to learn throttle shut off and feel engine brake, that’s 2 life savers right there, footbrake & engine brake
I will make a much better one this year
This is by far the best video on learning to wheelie I’ve seen, this guy would be a very good teacher in a wheelie school - brilliant
Thanks man 👊 many years of personal training and coaching boxing 💯 the video could do with a update as this is when I first learned but all the tips still apply exactly the same, do what’s said in the video but at a slower speed ideally and you will stay safe and learn to use the brake properly
Boxing? I’m heavily involved in both amateur and pro boxing 🥊 where do you coach mate?
@@aaronpritchard1629 good work man I coached 1-2-1s privately nothing competitive but im good at it, I ruined my boxing early involved with wrong crowds ended up with a boxers fracture on my right hand since then coach who managed fights weren't interested kept trying though but got nothing, trained every morning shark tanking with Jacob Gabriel, Tamuka Mucha, and couple others that's where I became a good boxer - dunno where your from but if your UK there names you might know - I got couple bits on my second channel that I tried to create on when I got to Brazil, got my first Muay Thai session in Rio there, helping a state champion kickboxer improve his boxing, helping classes out here etc never done a class so that was good experience no planning second channel is a1vlogs link on my channel might even have a video on this channel Boxing with a friend I used to teach in UK
OMG what a small world 😂 I know Jacob well, I haven’t seen him for probably 10 years now but my son Josh sparred him many times in the amateurs when he was at Basingstoke ABC, such a small world lol
Obviously I’m based in the UK so will look out for the other videos and Chanels you mention 😅 your videos are brilliant 🤩
This was AMAZING!!! I just started venturing into doing wheelies and was doing exactly what he said NOT to do. I 100% agree with him and will clutch up instead of chasing them as well as sling down with break instead of engine breaking - I did cover the brake pedal but was building bad habits with the wrong technique.
thanks for watching and commenting im glad you took something from the video, I've just come to Brazil to learn from the best... haha check my latest upload 👊 hopefully I can learn more and share more of what I learn this year 🇧🇷 ride safe (ish)
You explained great! I watched about 20 videos on youtube and no one mentioned that the wheelie is regulated by BRAKE not THROTTLE. You explained it and showed it so fucking well.
Ordinary "fast" wheelies are not a problem. But mastering a slow wheelie is fun. Now it's logical to me. Time to train. Greetings from Poland!
Being able to control the speed of a wheelie is too important and I’m still trying to master it haha next it’s the direction lol
Thanks man I’m glad you took something from the video
There’s many ways to learn but this way forces you to use footbrake so much
So when you move away from footbrake to then using engine brake with brake taps when you need it, you will have learnt it properly and will be safe 👊
Eventually you will learn to drop back by blipping the throttle to get past balance point, and shutting it off immediately to throttle coast (coasting with engine brake) while you are dropped back, then only using the footbrake when you go to far back or need to come down and it will
Literally just take a tap on the brake at this point, will allow you to wheelie for a long time as you won’t be using the brake too much and won’t get brake fade,
Learning tho the way shown in the video take regular breaks as you are on the brake a lot
Best wheelie tutorial i've seen so far. Watched it like 3 times now. Thank u so much 🤜🏻🤛🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
thank you! i got a better one on tiktok, dont ask why its there haha wish it was on my youtube
Best tutorial ever dude, thanks and congrats!!! Let´s practice jjj
Great video!! Once I find an empty road that doesn't get so much traffic in my area I'll give this video another view or two I'm pretty confident I'll make some progress
thanks man, start slow 💯
best learning vid i have seen
Best introductions I have seen so far !!! 🎉
Thank you 👊 I got some tips on one of my latest videos for street bikes
Excellent video. Thank you for taking your time to make this, you can tell you are very passionate about teaching. Love it.
I appreciate that!
See your 1st attempts on the Ninja now my man smashing it and teaching!! Nice bro!! 👍🏽
Thank you 👊 will do a proper tutorial this year when I learned a lot more
Sick, cool to see how it works. I've been practicing so hope this will help
Thanks! And yeh keep going good work!
Best wheeli learning vedio ❤❤❤
Haha il have to remake it when I’ve spent more time in Brazil these lot really know how to ride
thank for sharing
no problem 👊 I should have made a updated version but its all still the same, I would recommend going as slow as possible while starting out and learning the brake, I would also recommend learning on a grom
what a great video and camera angle
Glad you think so!
Imma put this into practice 🤙🏽 great video btw 💯
thank you!
Thanks buddy for the clear explanation 👍
thanks for watching 👊
Legend!
Glad you found the video helpful 👊 I’d recommend going as slow speed as possible 💯
why am i watching this while not owning a supermoto yet
Great explanation. I just wanna do little pop up. Long wheelies can get too addicted 😅
Good explanation 😅😅😊
👊👊
Good video my man
Thanks 👊
Thanks for a great video. Is dragging the rear brake and keeping the throttle steady good for two strokes as well or do you recommend something else?
Thanks, I’m not experienced with 2t but if I was to learn I would do a similar thing
You can’t obviously keep a steady throttle for long cause the rpms build, but I would follow the first 70% of the video until it’s starts getting to balance point or just below…
When you are just below balance point you will probably want to shut off throttle
As you get more and more comfortable at this exact point you will be able to go a little higher and eventually you will coast at balance point, but you will 100% come back down because your dragging the brake,
Everytime you go a bit higher, you will already be dragging but when you go that extra hieigjt and shut off throttle just press the footbrake a bit more so you don’t spend to much time coasting
Eventually your be able to not press the brake as hard and be comfortable in the coast
I’m not too sure how to teach 2t specific but 80% of these tips will be similar and everything I just said in the comment will help 💯
that BRAP got me feeling some type of way 🤣18:07
that was a BAAAAPPP haha
Hahaha i Was crying laughing 🤣🤣
thanks bro, nice video
Thanks 👊
Immediately toot my bike out, i pulled my yz450 over balancepoint without crashing, i dont have the feeling to stay there but it felt safe ! Only problem i went to the right every time
Nice one, it was my suggestion :-)
Thanks for the idea! legend 👊
Do you recommend turning up compression on your forks when learning wheelies to save your fork seals from the inevitable slam downs in the beginning? I have a Multistrada 1200 and trying to learn wheelies on it😅
Haha do yourself a favour and get a grom to learn or a 250 at most
You will drop the bike if you learn properly, and I wouldn’t recommend learning to chase wheelies down the road, go all the way or don’t start it will be a ticking time bomb till you get hurt or you fly into the back of someone
You need to learn to come up to balance point and use brake, then it’s either drop it back and throttle coast using the brake
Or pulling clutch to coast and using brake to control, with this technique you will definitly mouse trap at first
Pretty much all I’m saying is get a grom or something to learn on haha I got enough crashes on this channel to show how much learning it takes
@@TARZANMotoVlogs I got an option of buying an r6 stunt bike for 3k,might be better for me as I am also interested in learning more than a wheelie
Amazing video
thanks!!
Great vid 🎉
Thanks!
Deffo going to rewatch this before trying to learn a wheelie ....do you think a 2 stroke crosser will wheelie with the same technique as a 4 stroke with them being more lively ....guessing its the same thing just more sensitive to throttle compared to the 4 strokes ??
Yeh slightly different for a 2t, il make a better tutorial this summer
great vid mate, ive got the balance point wheelies down on my MT09 now just at stage of going past balance to slow the wheelie down but its very scary, problem is by the time im at balance im going 50-60 mph
mt09 is a big bike aswell so good job!!!
My biggest problem while learning was neglecting back brake. 2 months in i taught myself to shift and drag the wheelie out all the way til 5th gear. Now im having issues getting to/past balance point cause i still don’t use back brake.
yeh your learning lessons the hard way haha learn to slow down before you shift, the back brake needs to be drilled over and over, it will lead to a better clucth up as well... the btter the clutch up the faster you get balance point the slower / more controlled / safe the wheelie will be 👊 keep practicing man you got it!
@@TARZANMotoVlogs appreciate it bro
Hi,
Could you please explain what do I do after clutch up with the clutch, do I leave the clutch alone and just use the rear brake vs the throttle?
Do I use the clutch at engagement point?
Nice video LOL
Don’t touch the clutch once you have clutched up
Only time you will need clutch in a wheelie is when you start learning clutch work to coast but don’t worry about that for now
Probably. stupid question, but do you grip the bike with your legs? My worry is holding too tight on the throttle, and twisting it back too much...
its something I haven't thought about in a while cause I just had 10 months off riding with about a month of riding on a 160 in there at some point, I just got back on a mt07 and am getting back to lifting the wheel myself
but yeh id say grip the bike with your legs and keep the weight in the seat, you want no weight / pull in your arms. You should just be holding the grips / throttle, not pulling on them to support yourself.
after a while this will be automatic, they same way when your riding normally with 2 wheels on the ground you would keep all of your upper body relaxed and you wouldn't grip the throttle tight
Any more questions feel free to ask. Il have new videos coming soon with tips from the best riders in the world out here in brasil 🇧🇷👊
Ayeee Les goo 🔥🔥
thanks man!!
What's a good cheap road legal bike to get to practice on? Great vid btw
Thanks 👊 Honda grom stunt build
@@TARZANMotoVlogs Any others?! Too big for a grom
Jesus we got master Tarzan teaching his viewers and master brapz teaching his mum😂
hahahaha 💀
Shit i appreciate it 🤷🏿♂️
Is it necessary to clutch up? I also have a 450 and with a small blip of throttle it comes up even at low rpm
you don't need to if its that easy to lift 💯 this was a while ago and I had street gearing, eventually I went back to stock gearing and would lift in first and shift lock into second on the way up,
the benefit of learning clutch up is it can transfer to street bikes, and it can lift the bike faster giving you more room in the rpms
I have some videos im filming this week out her win brasil on how these guys out here wheelie and tips / tricks for smaller cc bikes and the bigger cc bikes 👊
The moment you drop the clutch do you blip the throttle or keep it on at a constant rpm?
blip the throttle, press the brake and shut off straight away, then build from there, just practice over and over again, it will get boring but you need to drill it so you actually learn to use the brake, otherwise you will come off
Legend! Cheers man@@TARZANMotoVlogs
Okay Ama see how ur tips help
Il make another video this year on the MT 👊
During a clutch up as you give it throttle, is the throttle position meant to be maintained while dropping the clutch out or do you need to drop throttle once wheel is up then back on it?
The perfect clutch up would be smooth like you just explained
But sometimes you will roll off slightly to re adjust your input but don’t shut off or the bike will come straight back down
The higher you get the less throttle you will need
The first part of balance point (throttle balance point) will be a very small amount of throttle being maintained and you will just float there and your rpms will stay steady and you will stop picking up speed
Then you will just play with brake pressure, as you go little higher add more pressure
Lower, less pressure
Control the height with the footbrake and be very smooth on throttle will be tiny inputs
Also on my 701 the brake lever is higher than the foot rest. Any suggestions on how to make it more comfortable for my ankle to cover brake constantly?
You will need to take off the right foot peg mount,
First I think you will need to adjust the free play pin so you know how far you want the footbrake to be set to
Then you will set it with the actually brake pin for when you want it to engage
what do you do with clutch during the wheelie ? do you still keep it partially to maintain wheelie without speeding up ?
Don’t pull touch it after the clutch up 👊 il make a better video soon
Here’s a better one I made on Tiktok vm.tiktok.com/ZGJQ2pqCC/
Every time I clutch up and immediately get on the brake it goes down. Is it okay to drag it prior to clutch up? I’m on a cbr600rr
It’s fine to do that aswell, but it doesn’t matter really, just keep doing what your doing your brain will figure it out, every session you keep pressing the brake your learning even if your not getting higher etc that’s not the goal, the goal is learning the brake
It will feel like you 1 million miles away from proper wheelies but just keep showing up and all of a sudden something will click and your make little break throughs 👊 check out my second latest upload 👊
i’m looking at getting a 2018 ktm duke 390 will i be ok with this bike to practice my wheelies?
watch gixxer brah on a duke 390 haha he does pretty good on it
Any more wheelies on your mt?
I don’t have the mt, il get another one probably and yeh il wheelie it
How do i get over the drop back fear?
by doing it over and over again, you need to get to balance point and just keep going back past slightly and back down and learn contorl, its just reps from here as it wont take long to get good at this part once you get there, and through doing this over and over and just having fun with it, you will build more and more trust in the footbrake and can start moving on to coasters to start dropping back properly
pretty much its repetition, but good focused practice consistently, and you will build trust in the footbrake and become confident instead of scared 👊 its a journey just keep practicing but have fun with it
Buy a clapped bike and flip it a few times
@@Olly328 already flipped twice still can’t get it.
👍
👌🏼💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
thanks John!👊
does cc really matter?
No, don’t start on a 450 either 💀 learn on a grom or maybe a 250 at most,
125 2t will probably be best for learning technique and control
It’s not sectioned
I just looped a wheelie and scrape the shit out of the bike lmao and then the bike fell on my foot and it’s swollen af now
It take you long to find the angle haha
The angle of the footbrake cam??? Haha naa it’s a 360 cam was a easy set up
That's sweet then haha can see it being a pain in the arse with a go pro
