Inside the Studio of Rachel Davies Mosaics Creating Miniature Mosaic Art Inspired by Nature

Watch as I create a small mosaic inspired by seaweed growing on rocks near the coast. This abstract mosaic design was created using various types of stone and some pieces of filati (the small round glass pieces) The pieces are individually cut and set into a bed of pigmented tile adhesive (also known as thinset).
The mosaic was created as part of an art challenge to create a series of small mosaics inspired by images from nature. The mosaic measures 2.5x3.5 inches.

I think you’ll be able to order it from the U.K. but you will have to pay an extra postage cost. The book is only available in English though.

All the materials and adhesive are fine for outdoors. The board I used to make this particular mosaic on is not rated for outdoor use though. If the right kind of board was used, then yes, it would be ok outside.
