⚡️CamelBak M.U.L.E Hydration Pack- amzn.to/3dRhpaO. The M.U.LE. is my most recent CamelBak purchase, and we chose this one because of the 3 Liter water bladder and storage available for our other items. It has exceeded our expectations.
⚡️CamelBak Mini M.U.L.E Hydration Pack- amzn.to/36eXTRB. This pack is the mini version of the pack we love, and our kids love it too! It holds 50 oz of water.
⚡️Goodr Polarized Sunglasses- amzn.to/3yq94Tq. I received a pair of these in my swag bag after completing a half marathon and they've been my go-to sunglasses for the past two years. They are light, comfortable, never slip, and the polarized lens keep the glare away.
⚡️Hoka Arahi Running Shoe- amzn.to/3xgUi1b. These shoes have taken care of Matt's leg pain and have made hiking possible for him again. The wide base with a sturdy grip has made a huge difference.
⚡️Asic's Gel Venture- amzn.to/3Ax6Vao I've been a runner and hiker for 20+ years and Asic's are the only shoes I use. They are lightweight, cool, and offer excellent cushion and support.
⚡️Jason Aldeen Georgia Boy Hat- amzn.to/3e7mJr1. Keep the sun away, stay cool, and look good in this straw cowboy hat. It's the perfect hat for exploring the West!
⚡️Sursip 1 Gallon, Vacuum Sealed Insulated, Travel Water bottle- amzn.to/3PAzVW3. We bought this one because it was half the price of its high-end competitors, and it had half the customer complaints! It has good ice retention; we have not been disappointed.
⚡️Lifetime 77 Quart Cooler- amzn.to/2V53pnm. After a lot of research online and asking family and neighbors, this was the winner. It is incredibly sturdy and well-made and has up to 9 days ice retention (we've seen it last 4 days but are pleased with those results since it was 100 degrees on our last trip). A great cooler is a road trip must!

You two are adorable. Thank you for the information. I went to the Grand Canyon over 40 years ago with my family on a cross country camping trip. I would love to go back again with my own camper (and a car that is air-conditioned. Ugh, don't get me started). I love your videos. You give an honest opinion and give advise like a good friend. Plus, you're always so darned happy!

#8: Don't forget about rafting the Colorado River through the canyon. That is my favorite way to visit the GC!!

Thanks to Raleigh Link's video I found out that the mule trail rider leaders expect you to hit the mules with whips and the mules are generally mistreated otherwise as well.

I walked down into the canyon an hour or so with my family. It was kind of late in the day, and about 30 minutes into our descent we met two guys who were coming up. These guys were super fit--they took their personal physical training seriously. But they also looked kind of tired.
Turns out they had started out early that morning and gone to the bottom. "You know how the rangers tell you NOT to try to walk to the bottom and back up in one day?" he asked me. "Listen to them."
He said although they made it, it was beyond grueling--it was abusive to their bodies. He said if they had had that choice to make over again, they definitely would NOT have done it.

I ha e visited GC three times and each time somebody died - not because of me though. We took the shuttle to Hermits Rest a d walked to the next stop. From there bus to the lazt stop and walked back to the villave. Stayed at Kacina Lodge with canyon view. On tbe latest visits we had some close rncounters with bighorn sheep.

Thanks for sharing all these informations. I actually started listening to your other videos so I can plan my trip better and safer since it is really a huge monumental landmark to visit. Please continue making more videos and give more tips about the shortest and safest freeways to take from South to east to north and to west of Grand Canyon. That’s just my suggestions for future reference or videos. Once again thank you and kudos to both of you. 👍🏼👍🏼

Great video. I agree with all these. Especially the shuttle service. (which is free with park admission)

In 2015 we went to the Grand canyon and we had reservations at the Best Western premium I believe in the village outside of the park. The shallow service from the village to the main visitor center was excellent, and very timely. If you missed one there was one right behind it within 10 minutes. Once you're in the park and you want to travel to the other sites along the rim of the south rim that is as the day goes on it gets busier with more passengers but it was easy it was convenient there are always enough seats and it saves on using your car and it saves on your legs. When you're inside the park there are many other things to do besides just looking in quote the whole there are many other interesting things to see and do and the visitor center has information on what to see and what to do besides just looking in the canyon.

Hey Napoleon, give me some of your tots! Great video. Best part of the Grand Canyon is the very very potent $7 glass of lemonade at Phantom Ranch!

    Are there 🐍 snakes everywhere?

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  Рік тому +2

No, they are not. There are plenty of snakes, but you don't usually see them while you're out and about.

the problem with people feeding animals. I have been to every viewpoint and it is great.stick to the popular ones and complain about the crowd? throwing trash into the canyon or feeding and watering animals is illegal and bad for people and animal. The mule ride into the canyon is fantastic, do it in February, the slowest month. the shuttles are easy. love the canyon.
