      @@DirtInMyShoes I found out about you from watching a Great Smoky Mountains National Park video you did. I live in Maryville Tennessee. I live 20 miles from the Townsend Entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Been there 100s of times. God's Country

    Do you have any tips for going through the 26th of May to the 1st of June? Is Memorial Day really crowded and is it worth going that day?

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  Рік тому

      It's very crowded that time of year, especially over the holiday weekend. My Grand Canyon Itinerary will definitely help with that though: www.dirtinmyshoes.com/grand-canyon-itinerary/

      @@DirtInMyShoesThank you Ash! We are on the way to the GC today. So excited. Quick question. Where do you recommend we go for authentic Native American jewelry and art shopping?

    Great video. One of the best in a series I have found! I have a question. You probably can't answer, but I offer it up anyways. I am a photographer, and want to take some pictures. Do you know of a time in the year when, on the rim looking down, the shadows in the deeper canyons tends to open up? Any thoughts on that? Thanks much, and again, great video.

    Im staying at El Tovar for one night in Dec and hope to get some dawn photos. Which view point would you recommend? Ideally not too busy but an awesome view of pre-dawn.

    thank you Ash, excellent video!!! One question, if I go there in December is it possible not to enter the park due to snow? I have a reservation for the Bright Angel Lodge in December 23th and I will be driving from Monument Valley

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  3 місяці тому +1

      Ummm sometimes. Usually December is ok, but if a big snowstorm rolls through, they will close down roads for a few hours or days while they get things cleared. Road closures usually only occur a few times a winter though...it's not a huge problem typically.

    Do you know if we’re able to drive to South Kaibab trailhead and hike up to Ohh Ahh point in December? Google maps says only shuttle buses have access to that road.

    • @DirtInMyShoes
      @DirtInMyShoes  3 місяці тому

      Stay tuned! I have a new video coming out Monday all about hiking the South Kaibab trail, but to answer your question, you will need to take the shuttle as there is no access for personal vehicles.

      Yeah, you can usually get something pretty easily at that time. But the sooner you book, the better!
