I always carry a flashlight in my pocket so that's always covered. while it's not a floodlight, it is very bright, and rechargeable so I throw it on the charger at night just like my phone. The battery is good for I think 2 hours on low, and 45 minutes on high. The high setting will blind you so I rarely need that setting.

I agree a simple first aid kit, and not just for humans, but for animals as well. It doesn't have to be huge, just a few simple things like blood stopping powder, and an antibiotic spray like bluecote. Would go a long way towards not having to drive all the way back to the ranch or barn for something simple. Of course the human one should include not just a boo boo kit of adhesive bandages and such, but also something for gunshots a well. It doesn't have to take up much room, and if you ever need it you will be VERY happy you have it.

A nice heavy blanket would be a life saver, if the gator decided to stop running if you were out checking animals in a snowstorm/blizzard/ -20 weather & the heater is not working as the motor quit running. If Mike has his cell phone, he will have a flash light; but it is safer to stay in the truck wrapped in a water proof blanket or quilt.

Mike, just a suggestion on feeding. I am a little (a lot) older than you are, and I sometimes are a little forgetful, so I was wandering through a farm supply store and stumbled upon feeding scoops of different colors and picked up a few and keep one in each food storage container (trash can). My wife the artist renamed each container with a matching color paint. Problem solved. Going back in my childhood, my father made scoops out of gallon tin cans. He would cut the cans and bend over the sharp edges. He would fashion a handle and solder it on the can and around the seams. He was born in1913 and raised on a dairy farm. His dad owned the first automobile and tractor (steam) in the county. He could fix anything. Love your videos.

A first aid kit (basic) every vehicle should have one, they’re easy enough to make your own…..scissor,tweezers,bandages, tensor bandage, gauze, peroxide, alcohol swabs, antibacterial ointment and a sling, you can put it all in a plastic food container or a travel accessory bag

Fence stretcher so you can make repairs that’s what the gator needs. The trench tool as you called it for breaking up ice my dad always called it a grub hoe as it was used to break up soil and dirt so you could till it for a garden. Might just be a Minnesota term. As for your grain we always used old chest freezers that no longer worked. If we had more than one kinda feed we put bags/sacks in there otherwise we would just dump the grain straight in. Just an idea for the future it kept the mice out and the freshness in. And it couldn’t be opened by the sneakiest cow or horse. Great video.

Hi there, Mike. Just a suggestion about the slight feeding problem of the Emus, Sheep/Calf, & the Alpacas. How about using 3 separate scoop buckets of different colors with the animal category on each of them. Maybe it will be easier to keep their food from possibly getting mixed up! Besides the lids you should put the what feed is what on the outside of the 20 gal trash can. That if the lids do get mixed up you can get them on the right bucket. You may have already done that, I didn't see. You may want to put a spot light in the gator for when you are out on the range and the gator headlights don't quite cut it.

For where you are a space blanket would be a good idea, not necessarily for you but they can be used for all kinds of things. Something I still keep in all my vehicles.

I was wondering if there are another 99 things under the Gator seat like some Orks, 2 or 3 hippos, a dwarf and an inflatable wheelbarrow … 😂
Love ❤ and greetings from Germany

Fencing pliers, fence stretcher, a few tposts clips, a few fence staples, and of course, you need a small amount of good old number nine wire. Then you can fix almost anything. Always carried these supplies in all our ranch rigs.

You need to spill all that random stuff out onto a tray and take a picture... like find the 4 bolts, 2 rubber bands, 1 hose, etc.

How about using three different coloured scoops? That gator looks like my junk drawer in the kitchen. I sorted it out and put it all back..😊put some hand warmers in the gator for the winter days that your feet and hands can’t seem to warm up during chores.

Ya need birthing gloves! The kind that go up to your shoulders, just in case ya have to help pull a calf in the field that you can’t get to the Euroquip. Just a thought and you need your birthing bucket with tags and an earpunch tool.

You might want to carry a few road flares in case you need help at night out on the ranch during calving season.

That is so awesome the animals come charging in when they hear the bell ring at night. Awesome. great job of training them. BTW where is your first aid kit in your gator? Doesn't have to be large, just the basic. I have a first aid kit in all my vehicles and am grateful I have one because you never know what type of situation you might come across in your daily life. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. @OurWyomingLife.
