The stupidity shown when they were 1st and goal from the 3 in the 2nd overtime was emblematic of Narduzzi's tenure. Toledo wasn't stopping Dugger, so what do you do, only let him touch it ONCE in those 4 plays, and that was only to hand it off on 1st down. Then two unbelievably ridiculous plays trying to give Bartholomew a send-off TD, after leaving him basically hanging for two years. And finish it off with a comically cowardly kick instead of going for it on 4th down (resoundingly like the missed FG at the end of the latest Penn St game).
As always, thanks for your optimism and thoughtful commentary today and throughout the season; however, I will not be encouraged about the football program as long as Narduzzi is head coach.
Pitt won 3️⃣ games last year. What’s the worst that can happen from firing Pat Narduzzi get real😂 it can’t get any worse there’s not one player on this team. That’s not replaceable your quarterback. Can’t stay healthy. You’re running back. Can’t stay healthy. Who else is there that’s worth anything. On this team outside of those two players. That’s coming back next year?
We could have easily gone 4-8 this year. We accidentally won close games against Cincy, WVU and Cal. Narduzzi gave us stability. It’s time to move on but his contract is through 2030. Unless something crazy happens, he’s not going any where until 2028. Nobody is looking to hire him so he’s not leaving on his own and his buy out is too much.
Our staff costs are probably upwards of 10 mil. Time to use that money for players and hire a really good lower level FCS staff for 2mik or so total. Nards is toast.
That is the future. LIke WVU, hire a re-tread on the cheap and spend money on the players. Paying dopes like Narduzzi gets you losses to Toledo for $7 million!
I am out here in New Mexico and it’s not easy even in the internet age to find in depth Pitt info so a huge shout out for always bringing us the deeper dives and thorough Panther news! 🫡
Does it seem to anyone else that every year we are playing teams in bowls that have far fewer players who are opting out? Is there a culture problem at Pitt?
Bottom line in this game. Pitt just continued to give opportunity and opportunity after opportunity to Toledo. And even teams who arent really that good no disrespect to Toledo they are a 7-5 mac team. But even those teams cant beat you with limitless opportunities. Falls on Narz
Still can’t believe the coaching decisions prior and during the game and the defense couldn’t make a stop against Toledo geez

There is no way a Pitt team should have to advert to a trick play against any Toledo team.
it cant get any worse then having a 3 win season if you keep this coach you deserve the outcome you get he just not that guy lol
Absolutely Dugger should have started.
I don’t know what the coaches see, or don’t see.

I mean you’re not wrong
I agree

Reid plays hurt. He takes a beating. They have no one else.
@ they finished 11th in the ACC. Two good players on the roster won’t save the coach for me
Narduzzi has been here long enough

Face it. They kicked it on 4th down from the 1 because no one on Pitt's staff knew the rules. $7 million and the guy doesn't know the rules.
Reid takes a beating every game.
I know Carter is hurt, but Pitt has nothing when Reid is out.
Dugger may just beat out Holstein. Don’t count that out.
I’ll explain it to you Chris.
Pat Narduzzi
A lot of teams ( Actually most ) have injuries and it is the next man up, and they don’t miss a beat . Pitt HAS NO next men up.
Pitt’s play is exactly why Penn State laughs at Pitt.

Pitt’s Ol is terrible. And Baer is as bad as they come.
Baer would make a far better offensive guard in my opinion

Narduzzi needs to go
