This is the clearest WB UA-cam video I’ve seen so far.

Sometimes it’s nice to use AWB when you’re running around. In the custom buttons menu I programmed a button to “AWB lock” which makes it very easy to lock the AWB until you press this button again. Very useful!

This video gave so much of understanding of white balance, because you made it easy to understand. Love your content.

I've seen a few lessons on WB. This is great. Locking in Kelvin is clutch. Do you prefer a White card to Grey?

How often should you black balance?
Is this similar to the black shading on reds?
Just picked up a c200 and trying to figure all the quirks out 😅

I only do it when I go from extreame temp shifts.

How much of the frame has to be filled with the grey/white card in order to get a good white balance? Is it just a certain area around the center of the image which a canon camera is considering? Thanks, Karsten

The centre frame of at least 20%, by my experience. The camera is smart and will try any grey or white, but when you hold up a white card it gets the idea and snaps to it.

I find it has to be a lot of the frame. Normally I’ll swap lens to a tight. Then card next to my face. And boom works every time

How often do you recommend Auto Black Balancing?

There are people who swear it reduces grain but I've never seen it help. I only do it going from indoors to outdoors or any other big temp shift.

I hate teal and orange look in cinemas... it have that artificial plasticy yak look to it... i mean its ok if someone shoots a travel video or vlog... but for filmmaking it kinda feel disgusting... I always love to go with either blue(for night scene) or tungsten(warm sunset/rise) or just go for daylight... these 3 lights are what people are acquainted with and that's how a film could represent with actual world... and Crimson can I ask you if you can please make a video on how to light a jungle scene and also what kind of power source should a filmmaker carry for shooting in a jungle?... i am planning on shooting my 1st webseries in October and around 90% shoot is in the jungle... i would love to get some knowledge and ideas from you...
