My impression from this video: The Car Wizard has lived a lot, seen a lot, learned a lot, and has built a life, a business, a family life for which he feels fortunate and is truly grateful.
The Wizard is truly a good guy. He pretty much built my expedition rig and was flawless. He is as wholesome as human beings come, a true gift of the Heartland.
My impression: What mechanic doesn't like modifying cars???
Agreed. He reminds me of the chap who works on my cars here in the UK. An enthusiast/car guy who makes a good living from working hard, being honest and doing things right. Wishing him continued success.
I agree, but I still want to see how much his personality comes out when he gets drunk lol
I agree i love cars. Im about 45 cars my my worst regret is selling my 1979 Mercedes 420 color sky blue I miss her

My dad's w123 240d had more than 1 Milon Km's. His current w210 220d also has more than 700 thousand km, and the original clutch :D
I love how mrs wizard comes in with the maybe not intentional over the top inquisitive or informative off camera voice. Like she's talking to the studio audience at a 1960's childrens show.
The most interesting fact revealed here...The Wizard has a couple of kids!...Never been mentioned before.
I may be a bit older, ( 60+), but I have had the same disease as you and Hoovie ... over 100 cars owned, bought and sold, until my wife finally made me stop when I retired from truck driving. Good luck in your future endeavors !! I enjoy your videos.
Something about his voice is relaxing
You can tell he is a very kind and gentle man.
YOO! you still working at that Burger Shot?

It's the sound of a simple man, happy in his element.
They should make an ad: "Mercedes - so good, it will bore you".

I waited until I was 50 to get married. Decades of whoring and debauchery. Now, I abide by "Happy wife: happy life."
I never imagined being married would be better than being single. Boy, was I wrong.

"Gas prices were thru the roof. Almost 4$a gallon."
That's a bargain for us Californians
You don't want to live in europe, my friend!
Yeah, right now here in Germany it's ~1.40 EUR (including all taxes) per liter for regular gasoline, that's 5.88 USD / gallon.
In Venesuela 1 liter of gasoline costs like 2 cents.
Filled up at 76 in LA for $3.25 today. What are you talking about?
The most I ever paid was a fill-up for $4.599/gal in Yates Center, KS back in '08. Woof!
No one:
Scotty Kilmer: "Endless money pits"
Nobody cares what scotty Kilmer has to say about cars he is only biased towards toyota and lexus definitely not a man i would trust to work on my car
Please, do not say nobody.
@@starsaber2002 even the wizard would tell you that Toyota is among the best! Sounds like maybe you're biased against Toyota.
@@tonebonebgky2 well everyone knows that toyotas are super reliable, but constantly bashing others car brands as endless money pits is quite tiresome, even tough they can sometimes make really good fun and reliable cars. I was watching his videos before but they started to get annoying by saying EMP that or EMP this
@@tonebonebgky2 I don't think he's biased, but there's other good cars aswell that actually has a personality and is actually fun to drive.
Car Wizard just saved my Sunday evening... none of my favorite uploaders have published anything new... and in comes this. Great!
"they were doing unspeakable things in the back of the house" LMAO

I knew MRS. Wizard had to be a smart lady to marry an auto mechanic, and now I know for sure that she is: she's a TEACHER! Awesome! Love you guys and the channel! Have learned SO MUCH from you, and am so appreciative! Keep up the great work you do here!♥
“The Mercedes actually worked so goo and so well I actually got bored with it🤷🏽♂️” 😆😆😆😆😆
Sounds ridiculous but pretty much describes every Toyota I've ever owned.
It's why cars like alfa romeos are always synonymous with having passion and character because they...surprise you by not working
I've never owned a car but my parents had like about 10 or 12 since my birth year 1992. 1. 1992 Mazda 626, 2. 1982 Suzuki Alto, 3&4. (Both bought at once) 1993 Pontiac Trans Sport SE and 1990 Chevrolet S10 Red Blazer, 5. Late 1980s Buick Electra Wagon (big mistake. It broke down in 2 months), 6. 1998 Mazda Miata 7. 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport, 8. 2006 Volvo V70, 9. 2012 Audi A5 Sportback, 10&11. 2016 & 2020 Audi E-trons
7:40 and just to be clear "we were married at this time." An Officer and a gentleman!
My list in order from 1976 to Today: 3 Pintos (Love Pintos), 1 Fiat 128, 1 Buick Le Saber, 1 Ford Temp (New), 1 Ford Taurus (New), 1 Ford Escort Came with the Ex-wife, 1 Honda Civic (New), 1 Dodge Caravan (New), 1 Pontiac , 1 Silverado, 1 Ford Ranger, 1 Ford Temp Used, 1 Toyota Camry, 1 Chevy Equinox (Garbage), 1 KIA (Love it it's a 2018), and Finally 1 Nissan Xterra. I can say the 2009 Camry XLE has been and still is the most reliable car and still enjoy it at 158K miles, followed by the Ford Taurus lasted 160K and I finally got tired of it and gave it away to a single mother. Oh yeah, 2 Honda motorcycles and 1 Harley Both long sold.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I drove a '78 Bobcat in early 80s during college, first manual transmission, and I loved driving it. Plus, easy to load up my stuff with back set down and hatch up - including a 2-piece LazyBoy recliner. My dad was only able to get it away from me when the passenger's side footwell had rusted thru. Bobcat had been basically t-boned on the passenger driver door, and my dad bought it and repaired it for me to drive. Even then, he had to trick me to bring it home so he could 'repair' it (have it junked).
I seriously love the dynamics between Wizard and Hoovie and Mr and Mrs Wizard... so humble yet straight forward... and Mrs Wizard is the always excellent support system ever.... keep it up and big up from🇯🇲🇯🇲
Wow 200k, 100 videos. I remember the very first video, and how everyone in the comments gave you great tips on how to make sound and video better. And it worked!

So I’m 69 and I came from a gear head family on my mothers side. My older cousins built show class hot rods. i started at 16 with a ‘51 Chev Deluxe and now I believe I’ve had around 300 cars over the years and 60 motorcycles. It’s an addictive hobby and sometimes I wish I didn’t have the bug. So, some like myself and many others, are able to maintain a hobby like this because we do much of our own wrenching and you get to know some vehicles you should stay away from. I’ve rarely lost any money and if you can drive a vehicle and at least sell it for what you paid for, that’s a good deal too. I could have immersed myself in the project cars and hot rods, but you don’t make money on them, you to do it for the love of the hobby. If you want a hot rod though in your life, do as I did once. I bought one with the work done. In my opinion, a guy might make 10 cents on the dollar to build and then sell a nice rod. My only regret is the time spent over the years that could have been devoted to other things. But, it’s a man thing, right? I still have about 6 vehicles including a ‘64 T Bird project, but at my age, the motivation is waining. Up here in western Canada, I see some cheap Rolls Royce’s in very nice condition. I say to myself, don’t do it , don’t do it. So far I’m listening.
“I’ve owned 50 cars!”
Meanwhile: my mom has been driving her ‘89 Camry since she bought it in 1994...

@@timefortrimble9571 last November, a quarry truck dropped a basketball sized rock on the highway and she hit it at 65mph...... popped the tire, cracked the wheel, ripped off the left fender. Insurance totaled the car and took it away. 😢

"Stock or go home"
100% man.
The money people spend ruining their vehicles makes my head hurt.
Som Guy what you think is “ruined” might be what someone love and makes them happy. I would never slam a car or anything like that myself, but just because you don’t like modified cars doesn’t mean it’s wrong to do it. People like different things
I'll disagree with you there. The amount of different modifications you can do to a vehicle is endless and at least in my case, every modification has increased the reliability, durability, and my overall satisfaction in what I drive. I won't shit on guys that maintain a clean stock vehicle either, that's their choice, but I respect people that take the time to research, learn, and modify their vehicles.
I make an exception for wheels and tires, and Ecu tuning, and exhaust, and turbo, and suspension, and,.....nevermind I’m a modifier, not a stock driver.
There's very few cars that NEED to be modified to be good.
I agree to some level... I like my DDs to have stock suspension/wheels for handling and comfort but dont mind doing the exhaust
I love the “Wizards” you can tell they compliment each other very well
Hoovie said come here and I did. Haven’t regretted it a day since. Awesome content.
Thanks Mr. Car Wizard for being Humble and Honest, Str8 to the point. Im dealing with my share on my A8 where i didnt address the Cam Sensor . 2 months later (week ago) i heard a bang, car died out and yadi audi audi-os.... car jumped timing so much that even the plugs got slightly bent on the tips. Audi's are great to drive but sorry to maintain. i should of did my home work. I noticed how you and Scotty K. dont recommend these cars in U.S. yeah they might be great cars in EU but here and especially in BayArea, Cali Smog is so @#$$$*#* it reduces performance and relaiability. Lets not mention the scandal thats happening with their top exec's because i just may jinx my A8 more and next thing i know is my rebuilt engine has another failure due to not having blinker fluid. Thanks , You and the Mrs. keep up the great work. Defin. recommend you to my crowd over here.

A great vid. Nice to hear the stories. But it's amazing that CW always says he recommends Toyota to his customers and he is so frustrated when they buy something else. And yet in 50 vehicles he bought 2 Toyotas, one of which his daughter drives. Perhaps he can explain. :P
Super cool tour through your car history! Love your taste in cars. I would love to add an old Caddy and an old Ford truck to my list.
