    I inquired about Winter Chillout in October and the rep told me Not This Year😡. I was shocked to see the Millennium Force Trains outside in the weather! I thought they stored a lot inside! Poor Banana Train😢🤣🤣🤣

      Be careful asking people about events like this. Some won’t know what you’re referring to and others will generically check a calendar and not see it and give bum info. Rest assured that they’ll always do winter chill out, it’s a huge event for them

    Thank you! Yes, this is something to tide us over until May. Last year was fun in retrospect, but the bathroom line and the line to sit in the top thrill 2 seat were too long and not well planned. Still, we hope to do it again this year, just to be around the coasters again!

    I have been to winter chill out when Cedar Point was doing the 150th anniversary. I may try to attend this years winter hill out to see what changed at the park for 2025,

    Their efforts to support the ill is awesome. The pricing does seem abit "much" for the "average" individual that visits cedar point routinely...might be poorly stated but the "average American" is being squeezed out of the opportunity being the cost. Great update...

    Refresh the page as soon as it strikes the time the tickets go on sale and get your tickets. If you fail to do that, TOUGH LUCK!

      also I hate winter with the white hot heat of a thousand suns and the mere thought of being out on that peninsula in the winter is soul crushing to me

    I’ll wait for the videos of it. I’m not paying $100 to freeze my butt off

    Agree with you that lottery systems are complete BS, also they should raise the price to $150 due to the inelastic demand

  • @Spike-sk7ql
    @Spike-sk7ql 6 годин тому

    A "lottery" is definitely NOT what that BS was. All that "lottery" was, was "who Tony Clark wants to come".
    Put the ti kets on sale on this day and time, and whoever gets them gets them. Tough luck.

    Have fun $100 is just crazy. Yea it’s for charity but that’s just nuts! Nice Tax write off for cedar point though!

    Yea, not interested in freezing the wobbly bits off walking around coasters I can’t ride. (But the cause is great and they aren’t hurting for attendance it seems) but what I am curious about is, would mid during the week be a good time to go to the point? Like not crazy busy? Looking for a good time to go.

      @ that’s kinda what I thought…. Might just have to plan for a 4-5 day trip there to make it worth it. Thanks guys, appreciate it.

    One of the biggest problems is that amusement parks (not counting Universal or Disney), in general, are too cheap, and too many people are used to them being too cheap. I think Selim Bassoul did a good thing by raising prices and favoring enthusiasts experiences early in his tenure before the merger, but obviously it seems Zimmerman has the opposite philosophy, unfortunately, which will favor keeping GP prices too low and in general ruin the experience for the average park guest by not raising prices with inflation, keeping the lines and crowds to a reasonable level.
    Day tickets, particularly on the weekends, are way too cheap, especially in the warmer months. Season passes are a little too cheap, drink and meal plans are about fairly priced, the all season all park fast lane plus of $999 is fairly priced especially if Legacy Six Flags parks are also included (not for 2025, but hopefully future years) and parking is maybe slightly overpriced, but in general the whole experience provided by being at a theme park is simply just way too cheap these days compared to most other entertainment. Heck a round of go karts or mini golf these days is more expensive than most day tickets at most theme parks. A dinner out. Bowling night. Etc.

    We have actually been to two of them (self guided and the next one), first time was great because it was something new for us and it was cool to be able to see thing you normally can't. As for the second time we went, it was good but the appeal just wasn't there and I feel the guided tour part killed it because some guides went to areas that other didn't.
    Yes it is cool that they are helping kids but at $100, I don't think it's worth it.

      It’s a lot

    • @SarahGilley-ss
      @SarahGilley-ss 9 годин тому

      I agree it’s a lot but it’s a charity event. I feel like it’s a cool thing to do at least once in your life. Have you seen the prices of tickets for the Detroit Auto Show charity event? It’s $700.

    • @jandrew1994
      @jandrew1994 6 годин тому

      Not at all. It's a tiny fraction out of a paycheck. I'd say factoring in the charity aspect, $150 or even $199 would be reasonable. It's still going to sell out and CP still needs to profit and pay their workers and overhead, too.
      In general amusement parks are too cheap especially for weekend tickets not counting in the winter time between New Years and Spring Break where nearly nobody visits theme parks. Summer weekend tickets are WAY too cheap. Even season passes are a little underpriced. Meal plans and drink plans are probably fair priced. Parking may be overpriced considering it's included free in season passes, but that's about it.
      If the demand is inelastic, you raise the price, simple as that. And people would be more satisfied overall if the average wait time for a ride/coaster isn't 2+ hours.

    $100 is just a bit too much for me. Especially since I would have to multiply that by 4.

    Children’s charities are always a worthy cause but $100 is price gouging in my opinion

    $100 is not worth it to me. I did it 2021 and honestly I didn't really care for it
