The soul stone was on a remote planet (vormir) and discovered in infinity war and vision was in wakanda, he was after the mind stone not the soul stone
I think they confirmed it without saying it in Black Panther. The Soul stone is inside the vibranium asteroid and is responsible for creating the heart shaped herb. That's what allows the back panthers to connect with the spiritual realm to commune with past panthers. We also see Thanos' army attacking wakanda in the infinity war trailer
I think that Heimdall is the physical form of the soul stone. For one, his eyes are orange. Aldo, the soul stone allows people to see and hear everything and everyone anywhere. Heimdall can literally do all of it. He can see every stone in the 9 realms. In Thor's vision, Heimdall is blind. Maybe Thanos blinded Heimdall by removing the soul stone. Maybe

I think the avengers will make their final stand there while Ironman and Dr Strange use time travel to go back and get the stones before thanos can (they recently revealed a picture on the set of infinity wat with stark and strange wearing time travel bracelets and they were talking to captain america (but captain was in his avengers 1 costume))

I agree with you on both the Black Panther and Hammer/Mjolnir not containing the stone, but I think you're misunderstanding the Heimdall theory: from what I've seen this really hinges on the scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron where Heimdall is blinded/eyeless in Thor's vision; the vision is meant to be a warning of Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet, thus Heimdall would be blinded as Thanos has taken the Soul Stone from him, and by extension, his power: the ability to "see" all the souls of the universe.
Now, as for the "not keeping two Stones together" thing: perhaps only Odin is aware of the Stone, and the Reality Stone only had to be moved because there is already one within the vault. Heimdall however, is a sentient being, and a capable one; the defense of the Soul Stone is his responsibility, not Asgard's.
I personally do think it's with Hela, but I believe Heimdall IS a strong possibility.

with regards to the eye color changing while using the stones, notably the aether and power stone were being used directly by the wielder while the others were buffered by technology (visions ayes are tech so not sure if they could change....)
Surprised you didn't mention the THANOS theory; (although I'd say it's damn near confirmed at this point) basically for those interested: the Thanos theory claims that the Infinity Stones are spelling, and will spell out Thanos in regards to where/what they are.

I'm going to say this if the soul stone is on earth then whoever hid them didn't do a good job. I mean the tesseract and the eye I can except but the soul on earth that would be three on earth. and Asgard one of the most powerful civ in the galaxy where worried about having two. I mean it would be much better if we have it in Krell empire or the Skrull empire now that Disney has it. it gives an excuse to see more of these races than what we have seen and open the way for more films especial fantastic four and x men.
I will admit I haven't read too many comics and what ones I have read never involved the Krell or Skrull
I think in infinity wars part one Thanos will only get some of the stones, then we get a couple more films which will explain where the last stone is then part two will appear with Thanos getting the rest with the epic battle at the end.

Hela doesn't go to Asgard for no reason either. Asgard is filled with powerful people that can put up a fight with her. If she wanted to easily destroy somewhere are aquire souls, earth would be a much easier task. So she goes there to get something that Earth can't offer her...the stone. So it HAS to be on Asgard.
I heard a good theory that the soul stone is in 2 pieces. Look at the size of the soul stone compared to the rest while on the Gauntlet. Its twice the size of the rest!

I think that the soul stone is broken into many pieces and it's what makes Asgardians so powerful and gives Heimdall his special powers. If you want proof you can watch Tony's vision when Scarlet Witch messes with his mind. Thor has a shard of the Soul stone in his chest when he dies.
I like the theory of the soul stone being 2 pieces. One of the gem slots on the infinity gauntlet (on the forehand) is bigger compared to the rest of the 5 slots. It would make sense.
Why would Thanos create a plan to impress someone knowing he has to steal her shit? Because he is in love with the physical embodiment of death. In the Infinity saga he erases half the life in the universe just to prove his love to her. So the question isn't "Why would he..." but "Why wouldn't he..."

Their eyes changed because it was being manipulated organically. Ronan had it in his weapon, same with loki and everyone else, it showed no organic effects because it wasnt organic. It makes sense that it’s in heimdall because he can see and communicate via the soul stone somehow fused with him.

I think you're absolutely wrong about it being with Heimdall. From the first Thor movie to the second Thor movie Heimdall has a costume change where if you notice in the Dark World his iron armor chest plate has an orange colored Stone right where the sternum is so that right there it's about the time when they started engineering that idea are the Infinity Stones the first Thor that was that wasn't even thought of. Plus Thor has his visions Heimdall loses his eye color when he's projected to be dead. And my thought is is the Soul Stone is broken into two pieces since it is the largest stone on the back of the gauntlet. So I think half up was going to be with Heimdall and the other half is going to be in mjolnir

It's going to be with Heimdall It's beyond likely. there are several facts that lend to this idea... there are scenes later in Ragnarok where his eyes are no longer glowing orange and are completely white. There are actually 3 instances when an infinity stone changes the color of the affected parties eyes. The two mentioned above and when Loki touches the sceptre to Hawkeye and Selvig. Heimdall can see souls? When did Asgardians learn how to do this? and why can't the most powerful obtain or use this ability? It's easy once you put all the pieces in place.
TLDR 1.only Asgardians with glowing orange eyes who later have no color.
2. He can see souls? Where else can you obtain that power?
3. The stone had to be on Asgard since it's being revealed in this movie.
god so many stupid people the damn soul stone is in the flame of eternity in Ragnarok. It has the power to resurrect which is the fucking soul stone and the power to take souls etc etc. Also with the storyline with Hela and the ending where they didn't show her dying explicitly also it is the central/core component of the movie like all the other previous stone. It is a perfect exact parallel connection, mechanism, and plot design in all the movie with a stone. HELA ABSORB THE STONE AND THE FIRE CANNOT BE EXTINGUISH BECAUSE IT IS THE SOUL STONE!. At the end credit scene of guardians 2... I believe they made mention to "Adam" from comic books. Adam warlock is tied to the soul stone it would kinda make sense if that would be where the soul stone is...
To sum it up:

Heimdall's Sword (Soul Stone, come on, that was obvious).
Aether (Reality Stone.)

MY INFINITY STONE THEORY!
ONE INFINITY STONE CANCELS OR STOPS ANOTHER STONES EFFECTS.
1st EXAMPLE: Avengers when the Mind Stone encapsulated in Loki's Staff
was the only way to turn off the machine/portal powered by the Space
Stone.
2nd EXAMPLE:. We see Vision lifting Thor's hammer in A.O.U. Now if the
internet theories about the Soul Stones location in Ragnarok hold true
and it ends up in part being in Thor's hammer, then my theory holds true
in that the Mind Stone canceled out the Soul Stones hold on who can or
cannot lift the hammer allowing Vision to lift it easily.
3rd EXAMPLE: In T.T.D.W, We see Malakeith surrounded by the power of the
Reality Stone, and the only way Thor can kill Malakeith is by driving
the stake in him using the Soul Stone/ Mjoinier. The Soul Stone
cancelled any protection Malakeith had from the Aether/ Reality Stone.
4th: When Jane found her way to the Aether, Heimdall suddenly became blinded,
he couldn't see her! The Reality Stone canceled out the Soul Stones power against it.
5th EXAMPLE: C.W, that whenever Wanda Maximoff uses her powers against
the Mind Stone and Vision, the stone turns red, indicating that she is
some how connected with the Reality Stone, and it cancelled out the Mind
Stones power which keeps Vision alive.
The Mind Stone was used on the Maximoff's to open their mental
capabilities. It is easy to assume it opened up Wanda's mental
capabilities to use her powers which come from the Reality Stone or the
power is tied to the Reality Stones power.
If the Soul Stone is in Thor's Hammer, it makes my Theory hold water and
explains a lot. Also each stone gives off a different signature as well
shown in the first Avengers when Tony and Banner had the Secpter/Mind
Stone under a scope. They give off a different type signature/radiation
and in A.O.U you will notice the sound that surrounds each stone and the
frequency each have are different as well.
We will see where the Soul Stone ends up. Personally i think it's in two pieces
or maybe even more. Heimdall Is certainly powered of has powers from it, that is for certain.
I find it funny between the 2 Ragnarok trailers showing Hela before and after the destruction of
Mjoiner. The first before the hammer is destroyed she looks powerless, then after the hammer explodes,
a "Orange Glow" which happens to be the last color of the missing Soul Stone goes
over her and suddenly appears her Antlers/horns... Personally i think it houses
one piece of the Stone Heimdall is tied to it somehow. It explains everything.
It's not that one Stone makes another stone powerless, or even null, it just stops it's effects because one cannot destroy
another when all 6 are from the same thing. Hence why they cannot be joined nor kept apart according to the Norns.
We Shall definitely see this May 2018..
iconbadgta not in thors hammer nor would it be with heimdall, I do think he has abilities caused by it but I doubt they'd make it in multiple pieces nor have it with a character we've known for so long and it just not be mentioned, plus in thors search for the stones (as he says in the new movie) he wound up their trapped, he would've been able to clearly see heimdall has one if he did have one. I think it is in wakanda, the new panther looking villain he fights seems to have something in his forehead and his suit has a orange glow/outline going through it.

Chris Hemsworth told us we would soon "SEE" the last Stone and you did in Raganrok when Thor asked to see what was going on in Asgard through Heimdall.. It is Heimdall or he carries it in him.. No way he can see all the souls in the universe and not have it. Plus Thors eyes turn Orange when Heimdall gives him his sight.

He is goddess of death, she doesn't need a stone to bring people from death like how thor don't need a stone for lightning. And Thanos can use all stone in the same times because like you said, the stone can't be activate at the same times. One cancel or stop the other. And i think 4 stones are already on earth. 2 was in Asgard if heimdeil has one and 2 on earth and remain 2 who are in space (lost somewhere i think). Vision has one, Dr. Strange has one and the Asgard comes with 2 because Loki comes with one since at the end of the Thor:Ragnarok show us that he takes it and Heimdeil if he really has one. All the stone that remain are the 2 stones that are somewhere in space. I don't know if i write correctly but i hope you understand me somehow.

The soul stone is the eternal flame which was used by hela to bring her army back to life and loki uses it to bring the fire devil back after thor killed him in the begining of movie.

Chris Hemsworth was right...the souls stone was shown in Ragnarok...it is in The Grandmaster's Melt Stick. We have been introduced to 2 Elders of The Universe so far: The Collector and the Grandmaster (also Ego, though he isn't fully one of the Elders). I think the Elders will be the next logical step into introducing higher "omega" level superheroes/beings into the cosmic MCU...see the Thanos Quest with the Elders and the Avengers - the Grandmaster actually held a stone for a time...plus, loads of the bonus DVD stuff and post credit scenes of Ragnarok were to to with the Grandmaster, why all the focus of e is only appearing in one film...my bet - the Soul Stone is in his melt stick!!!
Adam Warlock had the Soul Gem in the comics, and he was original known as Him. So that's where the H will come from. We see his cocoon at the end of GotGV2. He is also the one who defeats Thanos in the comics. :D
The soul stone wasn't in either movies but according to a book me and my friend read, it says a superhero named Warlock possesses the soul stone.
But remember, Ronin and Quill held the stones directly, as did Malekith (however you spell his name) whereas every other times the stones weren't held driectly, but through other objects. So that could explain why the color of eyes didn't change/did change.
I think that Heimdall is the physical form of the soul stone. For one, his eyes are orange. Aldo, the soul stone allows people to see and hear everything and everyone anywhere. Hiemdall makes perfect sense because we have no background information on him nothing about his past and we have no clue of his origin, and also in Thor's vision he sees Hiemdall without his orange eyes and he isn't wearing his armor which he has always worn in every scene, also just cause you posses the soul stone doesn't mean you automatically have a craving for souls, the power stone never gave star lord a craving for power, the mind stone never gave loki a passion for brains, the time stone never made Dr strange wanna alter time, so why couldn't it be hiemdall and BTW at the center of his armor it looks like there is a stone there, I don't know if that's just me seeing it but yeah there's my opinion
