Those are wirerigs that lift the actor off the ground just enough to touch it and the wires propel the actor forward. it makes people look like they are running fast.

Exactly. Why is no one talking abt it.
It is easier cause hes not actually pushing himself along (which slows the legs down). Like running on a treadmill I can occassionally go top speed for about 20 seconds (pretty fast moving legs) but on the ground not as easy to go that (fast). Its cause the stuff you're running on moves, so rather than pushing your whole bodyqeight along, you jsut have to move legs to keep up with the movement underneath.
