    Just picked up More V5 for my easy day shoe.
    Huge improvement for me over the V4.
    The V4 was unstable in the foam and the sidewalls caused blisters.
    The V5 is more stable, wider, maybe not as soft in feel but just as forgiving on tired legs.
    Been having shin splints and they make running doable while I heal back up.

The rocker is not aggressive at all, but my feet felt great dur8ng and after the race! Would recommend. I'm 6'2", 238lb

    I do run the same routes everyday either at home or at the lake..being able to stop by the house if the shoes aren't working on the day keeps me running every day regardless of the weather or how I feel that day..at the lake my route takes me by a couple of little stores that I can get a water and the route is a mix of dirt roads,trails and pavement..shade trees also make a sunny day better for my long runs..these dog days of summer can make it tough to stay motivated..a race every weekend helps my routine stay on course..I do like the softer shoes,but not the heavy ones..fortunately we can have softer and lighter shoes with some experience picking out what works for you..😊

    Hurricane looks like a good time on feet shoe, like people use the Hokas.
    Back from vacation so I have to catch up on a couple videos still. The Adizero SL2 was a fantastic do it all shoe. I did a lot of short to moderate runs plus walking all over London and various parts of Greece. The outsole still looks like brand new. Traction was solid on pavement, hard packed dirt, and gravel. Fine on wet pavement but a little sketchy on greasy wet surfaces and some of the slick marble sidewalks in Greece; I don't think anything would be great there.
    It was super comfortable to have on foot for hours and I never felt like it was flattening out. Soft but not mushy. I highly recommend as a workhorse do everything shoe for sub-150 lb runners. I don't think I can speak for bigger runners.

      @@JeffHardyyyyyheads up you may have the same issue with the balos - it's just as soft as the more v5 if not a little softer if that's even believable 😂 if you're looking for another cushioned shoe you may want to consider ghost max 2 or if you want new balance wait til the 1080v14 drops in September. I think that one will be a little firmer/more supportive than the more and balos

    How would you compare the upper of the more v5 to an invincible run 3 upper? I’m looking for a new daily and I’m on the tail end of my 3rd invincible run 3. I tried the gel nimbus 25 and that upper made my feet to hot. I bring that up because the more v5 upper looks similar to the gel nimbus 25

  • @GrungeAct
    @GrungeAct Місяць тому +4

    As the heavier and slower, mid/forefoot striker I cannot say how often I’ve had to donate a pair of great running shoes because the midsole had bottom out on me in the middle of the run (especially in the forefoot). The resilience of the foam is the deciding factor, the weight barely plays a role.
    Hurricane would clearly be my pick.

      Dude me too and I'm on the heavier side of things at 183lbs...so I usually run in the firmer foams. The ride 17 has been decent for long runs...it's on the firmer side. Compliant foams like the 1080v13 and nimbus 25 simply give quickly into a long run

    • @supwell
      @supwell  Місяць тому

      It feels like a moderate drop - def doesn't feel 8/10. There's a noticeable difference in drop feel from the Triumph 22 which was a 10mm - I think it may be a visual trick on this colorway with the midsole colors. In terms of stability the only thing noticeable as a neutral runner is the very secure and rigid heel piece in the upper. Other than that there's nothing overly notable about the stability

      No those are still one of my favorites! But I'd put them in a different category than these given the price, race foam and plate - might have to make a "comparing my favorite $200 training shoes" video 😂

      @@supwell yea that would be sick actually, I’ve been looking at different $200+ shoes and it’s interesting how they can all have a different purpose

    I found the More to be clunky and slabby. I didn’t like it all. I was really disappointed after all your praise. Same with the Skyward X. Very ugly fit for a Hoka.

      Yeah hurricane is amazing for that. I wore it all day yesterday for walking, errands etc after my morning run in it and it was so comfortable. Up there with the ghost max for great walking shoes
      And awesome update on the SL2. Adidas is undefeated when it comes to durability 💪🏽 I hope the trip was awesome. It'll be fun to do trips like that in a few years when the kids are older

      Traveling when they're little is a lot of work. Now that mine are teenagers, they're a net help but it does make the trip more expensive.
