Iron Maiden - Where Eagles Dare Bass cover

Based on the World War Two film of the same name, this is the first song from Iron Maidens 4th album, Piece of Mind, which is also the 1st song to feature Nicko McBrain on drums (check out that kick drum using just one pedal....wow!!)
The bassline has a deliberate machine gun feel, to fit with the subject matter, and can be quite tricky to keep tight.
Interestingly, this is one of the few songs that Maiden shorten when playing live, choosing to cut in half the section of music directly before and after the solo parts (the bit that starts at 1:21 and again at 3:41), repeating each section live twice instead of 4 times as on the album.

+José Alvarez Trace Elliot amp, but I use the Tech 21 programmable Sansamp bass driver for my sound. The new Steve Harris flatwound strings make a big difference too, but thet go dull very quickly. Thanks for watching :)
